Re: [ANN][XSN] StakeNet - The World's First Trustless Proof of Stake Coin

I have successfully swapped POSW to XSN. I have it set to staking (green icon says 'Staking is active') in the newest XSN wallet. However, after 3 days I have yet to receive any staked transaction. POSW used to stake more frequent than this. Did I forget anything or should I just be patient?
What wallet version are you using? If you are on the newest wallet version, 1.0.8, you can type getstakingstatus into the debug console and it should return 'true' as another way to check to make sure you are staking. If it returns true than you should be good and just need to leave your wallet online, unless you setup a TPoS contract with a merchant. We will be having an estimated block reward feature for staking in the near future to help people see how long it will take for them to get a block.

Thanks  Smiley, it appears I was on 1.0.7.

Currently on 1.0.8.

getstakingstatus
{
  "validtime": true,
  "haveconnections": true,
  "walletunlocked": true,
  "mintablecoins": true,
  "enoughcoins": true,
  "mnsync": true,
  "merchantsync": true,
  "staking status": true,
  "staking tpos txid": "none"
}

Strangely, I recall POSW maturing within a day and I'd often stake every 1-2 days. Yet, I haven't received anything yet. Keeping a close eye on this, but I think something might be wrong with my wallet/settings (?).

Hey Guys,

As you aware the linx price has declined badly in last few days and as devs also aware of this, they have shared few words in slack.

I am copying that post from slack for the convenience of people who has't got slack access,

linx [12:04 AM]
Hey guys,

Just wanted to touch base with you all at the end of what we imagine has been a tough week.

As anybody in the crypto scene knows, there is a bloodbath going on at the moment.

Fears over incoming legislation, prolific FIAT proponents naysaying cryptocurrency, potential future forks of BTC and the recent historic rise in the BTC price have all caused the ALT markets to react negatively. The latter has seen a significant amount of investors move their assets back into BTC as they hope to capitalise on the predicted continued upward trend for Bitcoin.

It's not the first time this kind of thing has happened and it won't be the last either.

Obviously the Linx price has been hit hard with this too, which we know is worrying some of you. We are also aware that you are waiting for things to move forward based purely on faith in the success of the project, whilst we are working with full knowledge of things to come behind the scenes.

This post isn't about investment advice though, you have to make your own decisions on that based on your own research and gut feelings about the project.

Our focus is firmly on the project and the ground breaking things that we feel we can accomplish with our network of contacts, remember we have been in the music business for 25+ years, this IS our business! We understand that you would like us to be more proactive with regards to promoting Linx, but work on the platform, payment integration and the next release of the source is taking up all of our available time. It is much more important to us that we use our time right now to ensure that the infrastructure is ready and waiting for all the new users before we start shouting about it. As said before, when the time comes there will be multiple marketing campaigns and strategies to make our desired market fully aware of Linx.

Rest assured that our first large scale retail integration is happening. We won't be disclosing the name of our partners until everything is ready to go as the space is very competitive, and together we intend to be the first to make this a reality. But we can assure you that when this is announced the market reaction will be instant. Just sit back and let us do our thing and we are sure that you will all have a very Merry Christmas.

Have a great weekend!

I downloaded the wallet in order to start staking, but my virusscanner detected the following:

https://threats.kaspersky.com/en/threat/Trojan.Win32.IRCbot

I got the wallet from the official site link: https://github.com/EmberCoin/Ember/releases/tag/v1.1.3-win-x86

Anyone has any experience with this? I know some virus scanner return false positives on wallets, but this looks a tad shady.

How come the roadmap isn't being followed? Please give an update on things when they don't go according to plan.

I need help with minting in the wallet, it has passed 6 days and I haven't received any EQT till now? Can someone suggest what I am missing? Thank you

I have the same problem. I started staking 10 days ago. Got my first EQT rewards after 3 days. My transactions did get split, but the new transactions have been minting for 7 days now. The rewards are getting bigger, but it's starting to feel unusually long. The minting probability percent indicators showed that I should've gotten the new rewards approx. 3 days ago.

My wallet has been unlocked for mining all this time  Smiley.

Should I just wait longer or is something up?

How long would the signalling of F2pool take? Do we have any past references?

What price are we looking at at the end of 2017?

Tell me the predictions,
And somebody knows hows the segwit plan working out?

It should have been activated already no?

E: Long time lurker at this forum, I made an investment at 1.30. Saw it going up to 2.10 but since than, only a stable 1.50ish

Quick answer: no one knows if they did the market would go striaght up or straight down right away.  If you see a growth possibility and the risk/reward fits you risk level then buy, if not then dont.  That part is simple, 6 month price predictions are hard in stocks and dam near impossible in crypto.

I appreciate your comment. But I know all of that.
And indeed, if we knew that, we all would be rich Cheesy
Always did my own research and investments where I personally felt comfortable with.

Viacoin is a coin where I see BIG potential.
I see viacoin reaching the 5 mark at the end of 2017. But I ask others predictions aswell.

Since segwit is coming soon and supporting hardware wallets in the near future.

Nothing wrong with asking others people thoughts, but yes, always invest on your own research and expectations.
But the total marketcap is nothing right now, we'll be suprised when the market hits 500B. Just think what viacoin can become.

I too see Viacoin as a big potential coin (long time lurker, just registered). But I made a lot of profit trading so far. Right now I have a huge % in Viacoin, because I think Segwit will put Viacoin on the map. I can't wait for confirmation. The waiting is killing me, which usually hasn't been a problem for me when doing crypto. I think we're sitting on a gold mine.

But even if nothing happens, I will always have a stake in Viacoin, I think it's one of the most solid projects out there and Romano is doing a great job Smiley.
