ca fait plus d'un an que UNICEF en France accepte le BTC et 8 autres altcoins, mais la différence maintenant c'est que grâce à ce cryptofund, 1: plus besoin de les changer et euros ou dollars car les fonds seront directement utilisés en BTC et ETH par l'UNICEF
2: pour promouvoir le fonds, l'UNICEF est en partenariat avec la Ethereum fondation qui va donner 8000 ETH

News is true, but are the links are correct?
I am not french so not able to validate it , but official UNICEF is www.unicef.fr and link for donation is lp.unicef.fr

You are right to be careful ! unicef.fr is the website for UNICEF French committee whereas unicef.org is the website for UNICEF headquarter in NY.
And lp.unicef.fr, is our subdomain for landing pages.
But what is important to check is that if the web page is in HTTPS protocole, that the certificat is valid, (just clic on the green lock on the left of your navigation bar), and that the domain is really unicef.fr and not uniicef.fr or uncicef.fr or something that looks like unicef.fr but isn't.

That's great news! I always wonder why there aren't more NGOs that accept crypto for donations.
Seems easy enough to offer and I would think they want as many people to donate as possible. Makes sense to offer a lot of options.

Thanks Eternalgloom ! For the moment it's not that much, and since you have the wallets to see on the donation page you can check directly and transparently how many was given so far in each crypto. But then again you are right, it would be even better to have a kind of gauge for each crypto for everyone to see quickly ! We will check on how to do that !
People here are having a hard time getting a decent profit because of the bear trend and I think donating to charities now is not a good time, well maybe when we all get have a good profit then why not, we can share all our blessings to those who are in need.

Thanks Petes, that is true, but we didn't want to wait for the market to be bullish again to give that opportunity, beside there are still people that have made a lot of money and want change things with it and even people that didn't made a lot but still want to donate in that way, as it is a partisan kind of gift.
The ERC angle is what gladens my heart because it means tokens there will start appreciating. This is what has been waited for. Hopefully, we are going to see better days ahead of holders.

Accepting donations in a currency =/= believing in its future. I would call it a stretch to say that UNICEF "believes in the future" of all ERC20 tokens when the vast majority of them are trash. But if they can sell them for Bitcoin or fiat, then sure, donate away.

Personally, I really appreciate with your effort and UNICEF France to accept donations in BTC and cryptocurrencies (ETH / ERC 20 Tokens). It seems UNICEF giving a good attention on crypto. This should be a good way to get more donations. Crypto enthusiasts also can participate easily by using BTC or ETH (ERC 20).

True this is not our first step, but still have a lot to learn !I mean, I doubt they'd go through the trouble of accepting these things if they thought there was no future in them. There's no reason to go through the trouble of accepting cryptocurrency if you think it's a fad that will die in a year or two.
True also, we do believe in the future of the technology, even if we don't believe in every token launched everyday.

Du coté français la Loi PACTE avec un article voté mercredi dernier commence à intégrer les notions de token et d'ICO, mais même si c'est un premier pas ça n'est pas la révolution qu'ils insinuent :

Hubert, je travaille à l'Unicef et ai pu me familiariser bien tard mais avec enthousiasme à tout l'univers Bitcoin / altcoin / blockchain à la suite d'une opération que nous avons commencé à monter il y a un an.
Une agence nous a proposé de faire une opération qui proposait aux "gamers" de miner de l'ETH au profit de l'Unicef. On a trouvé ça génial et on a lancé le projet entre Février et Mars de cette année pour soutenir les enfants Syriens.

Oui c'est bien vu mais contre les individus avec des vraies armes et tout et tout du type ceux qui attaquent les fourgons ça ne semble pas hyper sécurisé, parce qu'on parle tout de même de 20 milliards. J'espère qu'ils ont pensé à autre chose...
Coinbase utilise des tentes imperméables aux ondes électromagnétiques pour stocker ses clés privés et donc protéger un volume d'assets qui sélèverait à 20 milliards de dollars.
cette information est censée rassurer tout les potentiels investisseurs en crypto, mais je ne suis pas certain de l'effet.
