This is it! I don't understand, what VRC did so bad to get such doomed momentum. Anyway, it is a crypto world, where amazing gains and declines are evident. Badly developed coins, which even have no devs receive 100+ percent price grows. VRC is attacked by massive FUD. I am holding, what I have, be it going to near zero. I have no faith in day trading anymore, I am burned by those filthy actions around.
Other coins are pump and duMP...VRC IS REALY CRYPTO COIN WITH REAL DEVS...STRONG HAND MAKE MONEY, WEAK LOSE....

There's pros and cons to the action the devs are taking, and it's not all shiny happy goodness.
But it's also not going to destroy the coin.
Yes, I suspect a lot of not-too-smart people will dump all their coins the instant they can, but I also expect a very fast flash rebound.
Be careful if you try to trade it! It will be easy to get burned!
Sell cheap, buy expensive... lol

We are currently working on a new update to tighten up the fork, please stand by for new wallet later today. FYI after this is over we will be doing a google hangout to in detail discuss what we did, why we did it and take questions.

I downloaded from the website. My wallet seems to be fine, unless I'm staking. After staking for 15-30 minutes my wallet goes out of sync. Anyone have an explanation?

Here's the step-by-step on how to do the update.
1. Do the backup of the wallet.dat and vericoin.conf (if you have this file)
2. Delete all files in folder leaving only the two files mention above.
3. Download the bootstrap file from: http://vericoin.info/downloads/bootstrap.dat and put it together in the folder with the other 2 files.
4. Download the wallet from http://vericoin.info
5. Install the wallet
6. Run the wallet and wait for synchronization
-- If you don't have the vericoin.conf file you can make one using this:

checklevel=2
txindex=1
staking=1
connect=supernode.vericoin.info
connect=supernode2.vericoin.info

If you want centralized system just use Visa credit card or PayPal they are much more usefull than any Veri BTC LTC in speed, easy to use...

You can eve buy preloaded credit cards for children, transaction are completed in seconds centralized system works.
Crypto is about non authority control currency you can send money when you want (to shops, to Wikileaks ) and transactions can not be charge backs
Here is biggest value of crypto currency.
In real that was only ONE good reason to use crypto, to feel free and transactions can not be stopped transactions can not be charge back
goverments can put regulations but it can not be stopped.
This is value of crypto.

Just wondering. Because there is a whole group of people including myself that think coins are stupid, but that the true innovation lies within the blockchain. The one we just proved can reverse theft and preserve a currency through quick work, and dilligent actions from the community, led by 3 rock solid developers.
If anyone can fix this, why not a microsoft employee like the one we have developing for VRC?

The problem with your innovation you talk about is that it can be viewed both ways...good in times of crisis but harmful if done too often.
VRC is nothing better than the current banking system.
Fine with me, if it is the new banking system, I imagine the 99% of the world who doesn't use crypto will become very interested in this, As its not the bitcoin that they have stayed away from for this long for a reason.
