If the reward is 0 the wallet will not try to stake. This part of the code is unchanged from BlackCoin.

If you plan on implementing this feature in your coin you just have to set nSubsidy for GetProofOfstakeReward to 0

This is one of the reasons that motivated me to created this coin. To show you scammers that are robbing people of their pensions with empty promises what a real cryptocurrency looks like. Selling the accounts never crossed my mind. If some reputable member would make an offer I might consider it. But I have to be carefull not to let it fall in the wrong hands, if some Onecoiner buys it and then deletes everything it would be a shame. The best developement would be that it forks away and develops on its own, to distance it away from me, it would be much safer for the coin and its value long term.

I will also add, that I do not have any "serious" mining equipement and this went out of the CPU mining phase so incredibly fast that I did not manage to mine much coins.

Meaning I have no stake in this, at least not something that would be even remotely comparable to other DEVs that premine their coin and other ICO nonsense. The community has to take over or this coin has no future. But from the progress so far, I think the community did take over already. Amazing developement...

ocminer, if you have the knowledge to put together a working GPU miner you should do it, not just because it would be the nice thing to do, but also the fees you collect on your pool will be worth more if this coin has a good reputation and with that a good price later on. Or if you know the people that could do it, give them a nudge.

The change was made pre-launch. No need for a version bump. The ticker has none whatsoever influence on the protocol. The ticker is only important for communication and exchange listings.

That is considered an advantage so the ASIC/GPU farms can not get in on it immediately and is available for CPU mining to normal users in the beginning.

Who is happy about it? What are you talking about? The pool operator messed up because he thought it is the normal sha256d that bitcoin uses. He was wrong so the pool is currently not in operation until the pool software is modified accordingly.

That is intentional to prevent instamine at low difficulty in the beginning and to provide time for everyone to get ready to participate in the mining.

OCminer did not say that he dropped it. He is far more experienced in setting up pools for new algos than the other guy.

The coin was already abondoned by me. That was the idea from the start. I only pushed it until the launch.

Github account is back. Some onecoiner or maybe you reported it and it got flagged. After the github admin review it is back because of course there is nothing wrong with the code, the wallet or anything else.

And mining works perfectly from the wallet. Just use setgenerate true

If pool operators mistakingly thought that a different algo will just maybe work because the name sounds simmilar that is not a problem with the coin and it does not mean that it can not be mined.

Of course it does not work with "normal" miners, why would it? Its a different algorithm.

But remember the first 499 blocks have 0 reward. So the important thing is that you join on the mining then, when the reward starts, which will take about 3 days at the 10 minute block time.
