Where is the download link for Windows QT wallet GUI ?

The Windows GUI download link is:
https://bipcoin.org/DROPS/0004_GUI/BipCoin_GUI-32bit-64bit-WIN.zip

It can be found on the download page:

I am using the Win004CLIwithfix.rar downloaded directly from the bipcoin site as it is currently hosted. I extracted the files to a new folder on my hard drive. I can run bitcoind and simplewallet. However, the mining commands are now absent from the "help" menu.

In simplewallet:
start_mining [number of cores] responds with "unknown command: start_mining"
mining command responds with "unknown command: miner"

Same with bipcoind when I try the mining command there.

Ok, I was using the Bipcoin v.0004 from 1/16/2017. It looks like the 5/21/2017 version with the security fix doesn't have the start_mining in simplewallet.

Did you try calling miner from the command prompt? It looks like you tried to call it from within simplewallet since you got that "unknown command" error.
miner --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:18871  --address [WALLET_ADDRESS]
which is the same as
miner.exe --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:18871  --address [WALLET_ADDRESS]

I know how to use those commands. I have used them in the past. They don't work anymore as of the last update.

My explanation does work to mine the most current version of BipCoin and I am currently solo mining with it.

I assume you are using forknote instead. The mining instructions for forknote are here: http://forknote.net/guides/#mining-with-miner

The command looks like:
miner --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:[DAEMON_RPC_PORT]  --address [WALLET_ADDRESS]
miner --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:18871  --address [WALLET_ADDRESS]

Let me know if that works for you!

The miner app in the zip file does not seem to work. bipcoind and simplewallet function just fine, but double-clicking the miner creates a rectangular window-opening animation that immediately closes before displaying anything. I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Any suggestions? I have used Bipcoin mining from the CLI wallet on my old Windows 7 PC, but that option has now obviously been removed.

Open your wallet in simplewallet. Then run the command start_mining or start_mining 2 (for 2 CPU threads). This will start you solo mining. If you check your system's CPU usage you will see that it is running.

You can also find this on the "BipCoin How-To": https://bipcoin.org/?page_id=93

Seems the 2.1.2 forknote works.  https://github.com/forknote/forknote/releases
You need 2.1.2 forknote, and this config file : https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/dinastycoin.conf

I was able to get it working also but I had to switch back and forth between forknote 2.1.1 and forknote 2.1.2 to get the whole blockchain to download.

GUI wallets don't let you choose where to store the blockchain.
Use Symbolic.Creator, Luke! Smiley I just move DCY blockchain-folder from User\AppData\Roaming\ to other place and create symbolic link to it in old place(as "Directory Junction").

Still dont want to use GUI wallets, they are crappy.

Is it really so, that they just post non working command line wallets? The forknote config is also bullshit... just wasted time syncing the whole blockchain that of course does not work.

This one stops at the fork block 320003.

Nice work posting these shitty non working config files. Is it really so hard to do even the most utter basics stuff so that it makes any sense?

I'm having a problem with using the coin after the fork as well.

I am running forknote 2.1.2  withe the most recent config file and it can download the whole blockchain but when I try to open an old wallet it gets stuck scanning at block # 335928. I can create a new wallet and it scans fine but how do I open my old wallet on the new forked blockchain?

This disinformation about the alleged pre-mine has been posted around here so many times it’s becoming tiresome to respond to.

If anyone would like to see once and for all how false this idea is please see the official rebuke listed here:  https://www.docdroid.net/rEKgQUR/bytecoin-rebuttle.pdf

Dear Squbit,

It was so boring here without you. For someone who dislikes Bytecoin so much it seems strange that you feel the need to post here so often.

BCN_official, Can you please respond to the allegations that BCN was not created in a honest and transparent way like other CyptoNote coin such as XMR and KRB? And that a vast majority of all the BCN are controlled by a small number of people?

You may google "bytecoin premine" and find how 80% of Bytecoins was mined secretly by developers themselves.
This fact alone give bytecoin a big red "scam" label by majority of crypto community. And nobody want to have a deal with it.
Sure, it pumps sometimes and have a big marketcap, but that's because majority of coins concentrated in few hands.

Recently Bytecoin has another nail in the coffin when it did not fix vulnerability in cryptonote coins and about 700 mln of bytecoins were created by hackers (or possibly insiders) out of thins air and solded on exchanges.

Responded

https://www.docdroid.net/rEKgQUR/bytecoin-rebuttle.pdf

Your response does not contain any information that would contradict the assertion that BCN was mined secretly in a dishonest non-transparent way. Your response raises alot of questions and lists alot of example of things that you say are unknown or unproven but it is short on answers to the questions or additional knowledge or context. Certainly people who are associated with various projects that you mentioned know what the connections are between the projects but you falsely claim that this information can't be known by anyone. The claim that information is not known to you is not proof that the information does not exist.

Re: Mining with more than 4 CPU cores possible?
by

on 08/12/2017, 05:01:26 UTC
Is it possible to mine with more than 4 CPU cores via Karbo Wallet 1.1.9 ?

Because there is only the choice between 1, 2, 3 or 4 Cores.

Thank you for answers.

Could anyone of you experts give me a hint how to mine with more than 4 Cores?
How many cores does your CPU have?

I bet his CPU has 4 cores, That's why he has the option to mine with 1, 2, 3 or 4!

This exactly strategy made this coin as it is today............
For me this coin neads real miners and not nicehach,so it can be profitable for them and  only then can catch the eyes of some one to invest on it.

The problem that pushes the difficulty so high is nicehash bots mining at a profit when the difficulty gets too low.  The solution to stop them is to under cut them by buying nicehash mining at a lower profit and therefore being less disruptive to the block times. That is the only way to stop them from disrupting the blockchain because it effectively gets rid of their financial incentive to create the disruption.

Dev,

I sent the coins from 2 different wallet to cryptopia and till now no coins appeared.

Transaction ID for 1 transaction is 5c9181ef24dec4a6939c900f99bda4430e2e7b2a557193800763b2d2a68ed10b

It shows in blockchain explorer but not on cryptopia :

http://bip.ms-pool.net.ua/?hash=5c9181ef24dec4a6939c900f99bda4430e2e7b2a557193800763b2d2a68ed10b#blockchain_transaction

The network is very low to adjust the difficulty and this is the problem, the last block found (mined) was a day ago... After 20 blocks cryptopia unlock your deposit.

Sorry for my bad english*

same problem as before, difficulty is too high to solve any blocks, i have to wait days before i can even see my transaction !

If someone wants to put some BTC in a nicehash.com account and give me their API Key I can run my bot to keep the networking going fast. It will keep the blocktime under 1 hour. https://github.com/KittyCatTech/bipcoin-nicehash-bot

The only problem is right now you will pay 0.00001967 BTC per BIP mined to buy the hashing power on nicehash.

If you like the Bytecoin & CryptoNote technology, you should own the Bytecoin clone KRB (Karbo) rather than BCN.  It has better devs and is making faster progress toward usability then Bytecoin. Read their Roadmap at http://karbovanets.org/info  It has been going up in value much faster than any other CryptoNote coin recently because of the progress. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/karbowanec/  KRB has an honest and devoted team. You will find much better support, community and usability with KRB.

I want to buy 100k BIP at a price of 0.00001000. Offer not negotiable. DM.

If you want to buy 100k BIP at 0.00001000 you can do so now on Cryptopia.

BipCoin Nicehash Bot Updated
by
KittyCatTech
on 12/11/2017, 07:40:10 UTC
I fixed some bugs and I'm about finished updating my nicehash bot.  It should keep the average blocktime between 1 min and 60 mins.  It will keep the difficulty from dipping so much like you mentioned one day ago and also during longer blocktimes keep the network hashrate from going too low. I think this solution is going to work really well (even better than changing the difficulty algorithm) but I'll keep an eye on it for a while longer before I release the code on github.

Thanks for mining BipCoin!

As I mentioned before the updated BipCoin Nicehash Bot is now working. I just made the update available on github:
https://github.com/KittyCatTech/bipcoin-nicehash-bot

Please help me keep the BipCoin block times stable by running the bot when you have some BTC to put toward mining BipCoin.

If you would like me to run the bot on my server for you and point it at your nicehash account to update your nicehash orders. Please DM me with your Nicehah API Key and I will get you set up.

I'm happy to report that BipCoin blocktimes can now be kept stable and ready for fast transactions. The price of BIP is already on the way up.
Let's keep making dark coins fun again!

I've sent Cryptopia a node list for them to use which will hopefully resolve the connection issue.  If they are restarting the wallet it may take some time, so be patient. Cryptopia has been backlogged lately. Just wait for the coin to go off maintenance.

Well done !

Thank's for the support SamuelPickwick !
They close my ticket  but the wallet is in maintenance. Another report when i'll see my coins !

I have sent the node list twice and have had 3 different tickets closed with no help. They have had no connection to the BIP blockchain for over 1 week now.

Well, whatever you did for the difficulty seems to have worked. It's been sensible for a few days now.

If only the price could be fixed too. Hopefully after the bitcoin fork and once some visible progress is made faith can be restored.

Great! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm glad you are happy with the difficulty finally being stable again.

The price in USD has been staying between $0.02 and $0.06 for a while now. As the price increases I am going to try to stabilize that also so that there are not so many spikes and drops and we can keep it at a steady increase.

This is a good time to start buying a little bit of BIP each month.

The BipCoin block times are now being kept stable.  If you are interested in mining BIP and would like to provide some redundancy for the blocktime/difficulty stabilization bot I created that is now working please DM me.

This is very exciting for the usability and reliability of fast transactions on the BipCoin blockchain.

Hi to all.

Can anybody point me to the right way to identify rigs, for the correct vardiff? Adding .worker after address results in continious rejects Sad

Thanks in advance.

The username for the pool for each worker will be [address].[vardiff]
[vardiff] should be a number not a name. The optimal value for vardiff is 90 times the hashrate of the worker. i.e. 400000
 for a 4.4 kH/s worker.

Try username: 1Aiwe1sPZiGTCeev1QVFa3KNiMTkjRM6oz.400000 password: x

DCY/Dinasty of freedom is having their own mining farm, as far as I know will target mainly Dinastycoin, Monero, Karbowanec and Sumokoin, has a total cap of 1000 shares, 1 single user can buy up to 10 shares ( 1 share = 70 eur ) . I believe there will no be international marketing for this purpose however if you are interested send me a private message and I will redirect it. A total of 91 shares have been sold so far.

Please also consider mining BIP(BipCoin), it has often been one of the most profitable CryptoNight coins to mine.

I can help with automation scripts to check all the pools and exchanges to see which coins are currently more profitable to mine as their difficulties and prices change.
