I'll keep the computer running until it no longer pays the electricity it costs to run it, and I have a very cheap electric rate, so no worries there.

I've found other uses for BTC apart from SR, and it will continue to have use to me for the future though.

Been running on the pool about two weeks now, have a constant 750 Mhash going towards it and another 400 at night.

Using CGMiner and I have about a 0.02% rejected rate, fantastic pool!

Now if only we could get some big operators to get us our blocks faster Cheesy

Re: Possible to get 4x 6950s on a 1000W PSU?

The PSU in question would probably be either a 1050W Corsair or a 1000W Silverstone Gold/OCZ, it was really more for theory than anything practical, I have a 1200W in my current rig but I am planning to build a new one and was just toying with "what-ifs".

It's nice to know that it is possible though, I appreciate the help.

If all the quotes of the 7 series being "conservatively" double the stream processors is true, then its entirely possible we'll end up with cards in the $100 range capable of hitting a quite high Mh/s. Which turns things into a different ballgame altogether.

That being said, if it ever got off the ground, I would definitely be interested in buying a card that was designed for mining.

Just curious if anyone knows if its possible to get them running with that, I know a 1200W will work fine.

Wow, what a deal.

Is there ever a downside to open box products?

What's the general policy behind open box anyways, if it isn't sold in X days, does it get restocked as new?

Hi, I've got quite a few of these available.

Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Card x2 | 4.5 BTC
1400 Microsoft Points x5|  1.5 BTC
2800 Microsoft Points x5|  3.0 BTC
$50 Playstation Network Card x7|  4 BTC

These will *only* work on Canadian Xbox Live and Playstation Network accounts.

A quick note on the PSN Cards, you can only have a maximum of $150 in your PSN wallet at a time, otherwise it will refuse to accept the card.

Re: only 315MHash/s with 950 core on 5870s

This is curious to me, I'm running a single 5870 940/425, and its pulling in 395 Mhash with -v -w128 -f70 flags (I tend to watch movies/tv while mining).

Its obviously not a power issue, but is there any kind of performance penalty from running in crossfire?

Cool idea, but as Exo said having the ability to pay with either seems like a solid plan.

It's high risk with opportunity, I would suggest starting small if you do decide to mine.

As everyone else has mentioned, pool mining is the way to go, stable and steady.
