I personally vote for the fastest solution, whatever it is. The reward for each solved block is not the problem atm. Smartcoin got a shitty reputation, and a split community. Poor advertisement, and no dev right now. That is what we should be concerned about. When the faith in Smartcoin is restored, then we can try messing with the code. Right now we should just look for the fastest way possible to make this coin usable again. One way or the other.

Guys, look. Dev is dumping his coins. What a scumbag, I told you last week but you didn't believe me. It's better if we do this by ourselves anyway.
I'm not mad at him because he lost faith or is dumping his coins, I'm mad about him quitting without saying a word leaving a mess behind instead of being a man and tell us that he quit.

Dev have been afk for days now. His coins are gone. And even if he is not gone, he is still not doing anything good for this coin atm.
We have to take control, because he is not going to. And he never had any control, which is why this is all going to shit right now

I doubt Mr.Dev Scumbag will show up, does everyone agree if we take over this stuff as a community, make a new website, new irc channel etc.? I'm too butthurt to waste this coins potential

Better than selling my coins at these prices.. But we will still need a new dev of some sort. At least someone with programming experience.

I've been very positive and protective about Dev. But enough is enough. Get some fucking control over your coin. I'll dumb all my 200.000 Smc if he doesn't answer all these questions we have within tomorrow. Either stick with your invention or leave it! This is anoying as fuck! Im investing my hard earned money into this because i believe in your project. You could at least pretend to be a little interrested!

Start with every blog and forum about crypto/altcoins, yea maybe even bitcoin forums too. Remember to tell about the changes to the coin, like the reward reduction, the new wallet, and all the other good news.
Something about this coin being at its lowest right now, and its a good time to invest.

I see no point in all these accusations. I wish dev would be more active too - But im sure everyone able to help dev with development work is very welcome to help. If you aren't doing shit yourselves, then you shouldn't blame dev.
