Re: General Board Rules - Philippines
by

As far as I know, there is a tagalog version of rules. I think the terminology used in Meta is just fine, readable.

Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays?
by
Kollor
on 03/04/2017, 07:10:41 UTC
I still consider trading, either Altcoin or trading with bitcoin to USD as best source of bitcoin.  HYIP, RevShare, Cloud Mining,  MLM, looks the same to me, they are all investment. Most of them promises a good ROI and later on turns to scam.

Signature campaigns are a bit difficult now. I can't rely on it to earn more bitcoin.

I better go on with trading, atleast when I lost my money, its my fault.

Re: Earning "free" bitcoins
by

on 03/04/2017, 04:37:17 UTC
The days are gone where we could easily get huge amount of free bitcoins from faucet sites and now if you are looking for absolutely free bitcoins then you will not find any single method to get it and if you want to have bitcoins in your wallet then only way is to work hard to get it.

That's true. The days where we could easily get Satoshis are gone, mostly, now, we have to work in exchange of bitcoin, giveaways and anything like that are almost gone.

Free bitcoins now is I think not free anymore, its more like you have to work for it. But, if you are a fiat believer, this days are very much in favor of the intention to earn more money.

Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house?
by
Kollor
on 03/04/2017, 03:15:23 UTC
Of course, since it's already an investment that would just continue gaining interest over time unlike any other penny stocks out there. Aside from that, not only it would gain interest, but believe me, in a span of 5 years it will be huge due to the continuous demand for living space and the fact that land is not an infinite resource.

Even if buying a house would cost us 100% of our bitcoin, we should not have to think twice about buying a house. Not just that it would give us a good profit in time, but our children and their children would benefit from it as they will inherit the house and so the next generation of yours will also benefit from it.

We just need to  look at the quality of the house, and the location.

Re: Bitcoin Bank???
by

I do not understand why you need such a bank. After all, every member of the bitcoin community can independently dispose of their bitcoins. The bank is an extra mediator between users and bitcoins

We need bitcoin banks too. Who knows, they can offer service which are not present in the current exchange sites. Any new development that could improve the use of bitcoin and make it useful to function like fiat should always be welcome.

Honestly, when you are in gambling, you just bet it, you can never know which and what are effective strategy or what game would give you good profit. All are risky, so you have to bet and just rely on your luck.

But there are instances that we could try sports betting. Same as with other gambling, you just rely on your luck and go with the flow. Whichever the others are telling that are winnable bet along with them.

Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling?
by
Kollor
on 31/03/2017, 04:00:31 UTC
I can keep my gambling under control for the most part. I have lost some money in the past but now I only play for fun and only bet with small amounts.

Probably you've learned your lesson already in gambling. You already know how it feels to fail in it. Most experienced gamblers know that feeling and they learn to atleast control themselves to never do the same mistakes again.

However, with that reason "for fun" I think there are still lessons to learn. Gambling isn't for fun, that would lead to more defeats.

Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin?
by

on 30/03/2017, 01:26:09 UTC
Honestly, NO, why would I put all my funds to bitcoin, I can't survive the world with just bitcoin in my wallet. Though I believe in bitcoin, I still doubt if I can survive just by carrying only bitcoin. We need foods and have to pay our bills and those that I've mention is not possible using bitcoin. I am sometimes putting few dollars in bitcoin but not all.

Re: Is this man addicted to gambling?
by
Kollor
on 27/03/2017, 02:15:30 UTC
I think he is not that so addicted to gambling, yeah he do play everyday but just in few hours as you said and he doesn't spend his own money so meaning to say he still have control on himself. He uses only the payment he got from a signature campaign, maybe he is just doing it as pastime

It depends. even without using his money, without using most of his time, sometimes it can be considered as nearing addiction. With the words "almost every day" that is a sign already that his friend is already dedicating some time to it.

Maybe this time it is not yet an addiction, but sooner or later, when he don't change or he is still playing even if it is almost pointless to be there, then he is addicted already.

Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong?
by

Look gambling is a way to get pleasure, the same way people smoke and drink for have a similiar pleasure, sure you are atleast using your money to drink or smoke, while gambling you are dreaming with get more money, and you arent using it. But i do see it as a pleasure tool then anything else, even knowing the risks people keep gambling to get more bitcoins, some people loose control and do abuse and they got losted, the same way if you abuse others options.

Therefore, it depends on the gambling himself if what will be the turn out of his actions. It doesn't matter where you use your money, whether it is for gambling or any other vice you have, what matters is the result of it.

Though, it is against morality when you follow those religiously following their preachers.

Re: How are you earning BTC?
by

on 15/03/2017, 08:55:48 UTC
Same here. I just earn bitcoin through signature campaign. I have ever earned bitcoin from giveaway and facebook signature campaign.i have many plan to earn bitcoin but,it need big investment so,i quiet it

You're an Alt?

This days, I don't have so much time in signature campaign so I am focusing on trading and sometimes in trading altcoins. Lots of ways to earn bitcoin, but I think, the best is trading. You earn from it while learning the price movement.

I tried freelancing before, but have no luck.

Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?
by

on 14/03/2017, 07:07:30 UTC
It depends on you. On how serious you are in collecting bitcoin and what's your goal. If your goal is just to be rich right now and only for your self, you can call it for fun and after a few years sell it and travel wherever you want to go.

But if you are serious and your goal is to go long way, then keep it, wait til you retire and decide whether you are going to keep it and have a business because of it or sell it.

Re: Should governments allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC?
by
Kollor
on 13/03/2017, 10:48:06 UTC
I think Governments should allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC. Now a days Bitcoin has become very popular and a interesting matter for all the people all over the world. So, i think Government should allow to pay their taxes in Bitcoin. For this reason, it will be so comfortable as well as helpful for the people. And slowly Bitcoin can be a legal forum if the governments of all the countries will accept their taxes in Bitcoin BTC.

So, from my view, it is yes.

That would be hard, and implementing such rule would just make a confusion among people that has both fiat and bitcoin. We have to consider too that we want bitcoin as freedom, so for government to hold bitcoin, that is already a violation, and what if they use it to manipulate the price of bitcoin? In simply holding most of what they got then dumping it when the price doubled, voila!! instant money.

Re: How to quit Gambling for good?
by
Kollor
on 13/03/2017, 03:38:32 UTC
online gambling can be quite difficult  since theres noone there to stop you, if you have casinos around you where you live, you have the option to sign yourself out to where you can never step foot inside that casino again.

It's true if you are a loner. But if you are living in the same  roof with your siblings and parents, I doubt it if your urge to gamble is uncontrollable. A simple way is letting other family members to hold the password in your router, block sites where you gamble and of course obey the rules. If you can't obey your own rules, any method that you will try will never be effective.

Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime?
by
Kollor
on 12/03/2017, 09:07:59 UTC
I would say yes it can and its by looking at the good side of bitcoin by innocent users who just want to make decent income doing some basic functions and even rendering their services online and where distance is no longer a barrier. By offering these services means generating income which if gathered over a period of time could substitute for unemployment and in turn reduce the crime people would have delved into in the course of looking for money to meet basic needs.

According to OP, bitcoin could prevent crime if we use escrow, so no one will be screwing anyone in the deal. It nas nothing to do with real life unemployment and living of people. Instead OP is telling us that when we are in a deal, when we use bitcoin, it could prevent a crime.

Escrow could not prevent a dispute when the escrow starts to become biased, who knows, probably one of the two know the escrow and there is already a conspiracy.

Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat?
by
Kollor
on 10/03/2017, 01:59:52 UTC
I believe in Fiat because it will always be protected by the government. Fiat is a way of controlling people, so it will never disappear

Then what if the government starts to shift? what if government uses bitcoin to control people?

To be honest, I am still using fiat as there is no other way in where I live to survive using bitcoin alone. If there is a way to eat and pay  my taxes with bitcoin, I could try living 50/50 between bitcoin and fiat.

Without fiat, my everyday walk of life will be paralyzed.

Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit?
by
Kollor
on 08/03/2017, 02:28:36 UTC
Actually I'm playing gambling when I'm bored so let say it was for fun only but I also want to profit thru gambling.

That is a normal gambler's reason. Usually we tend to reason that we are for fun in it, but, in the end, what we are doing is we are eager to earn money out of it. I my self is saying that most of the time that I am after the fun but I end up earning in gambling.

There are times when I play, I am excited, maybe that is fun, but in my mind, I am there not to just gamble, I am there to win, that means I am after the profit.

Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear?
by
Kollor
on 08/03/2017, 02:01:38 UTC
I agree with some people out there..
I believe that one day bank will gonna disappear because in years ago people do not have Bank to transfer their money or save their money. And once people fully accept bitcoin and by the government the start of bank disappering will happen. Support is only bitcoin needs from the government.

It's far from happening. Support from government is like asking your boss to make you hold his money when he has no idea who you are. Banks are holding many transaction, from local to sometimes up to abroad. They do not just deal with money.

I do agree that soon banks will be more into going digital in transactions to make their transactions faster, with that said, I am sure banks will evolve too.

I do, but not that frequent. If I have to count it, it's not more than the fingers in my both hands.

I do visit there not beause I will also play but because a friend of mine is inviting me to come with him. I love the real slot machines there, compared to online. Nothing is special in those places, except for VIP rooms I think ( I haven't entered those yet ).

Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong?
by
Kollor
on 02/03/2017, 05:34:58 UTC
In my point of view, there is nothing wrong in gambling.  It is just a game that needs a wager to be able to win a stake.  All the decisions, actions, emotions, psychological breakdown, addictions, are people's doing.  Gambling is just  gambling, why will it be wrong.  If a person play in moderation it can help relieve stress and tension.  And be able to refresh people.  It is the  uncontrolled action of people that is wrong and not gambling.

We are different in that point of view. It's ironic that I see advertisement from gambling site as a teaser and luring a normal person into becoming a gambler.

In clause "in moderation" -we can't measure on up to what extent a gambler would gamble, usually we forget about that same as the way we want to forget stress by betting ( if we consider it as stress reliever ).
