Re: Crypto estate planning
by

If you are planning to pass down your assets to your next of kind, then they need to have knowledge on cryptocurrency and the blockchain to be able to properly manage it. They have to start now to be best prepared for any untoward circumstance.
With such knowledge you can grant them access to your private keys and wallet addresses or keep it in cold storage for when they would need it

Re: Why the global currency cannot be 100% internet based and if we will have one
by
Kopyleft
on 25/03/2019, 20:46:19 UTC
The internet is a fast growing industry but does not yet cover a 100% of the total world population so basing a global currency completely on it would deny a certain number of people access to it.
Fiat currency as it is, is quickly adopting cashless policies and easier transactions through the Internet

But one day something new will replace bitcoin.

Not necessarily, the fact that you think so does not mean it us bound to happen, Bitcoin has existed for a decade and it that time it has only grown. Technology always improves, and new prototypes would always be introduced, but the existing technology can also keep improving to stay ahead of the competition

Re: How much time you spend to read forum post ?
by

on 25/03/2019, 19:56:21 UTC
Both reading and writing are very important in the forum, one needs to write for others to have something to read and learn from, and the knowledge gained could be applied in some other form and presented as a post. They both function together, majority would say they prefer reading but I prefer actively contributing to the forum and being helpful to other where I can.

Re: Exist any blockchain technology that fight the devaluation nature of crypto?
by

on 25/03/2019, 19:49:10 UTC
I wouldn't say there is any "internal nature trending more coins to devalue", rather it us a very competitive and growing market and within it are lots of poorly executed projects, which are bound to fail due to huge competition, but if you have a well organized and relevant project, there is no inherent limitation to it's success

Re: DEVELOPERS MUST THINK DIFFERENTLY
by

on 24/03/2019, 15:38:26 UTC
It's pretty simple, 'almost' everyone is after quick profits and many a project already have an exit strategy once they can be free from possible legal actions. Crowd funding is profitable, and it's very easy to get away after creating a half arse project with little or no originality or usefulness.

To your second paragraph, a couple of countries are experimenting with blockchain in electioneering processes and some are already practicing.

Re: Am done with KYC
by

This can only be said for projects you have interacted with. KYC is becoming an integral part of the system as much as we try not to admit. Scams and fraud have prevailed in upstarts in cryptocurrency, and as we move further towards STOs verification of devs and investors would become more important.

KYC does not put an end to scams or fraud and there is the risk of stolen identity why you have to verify the agency handling the process. If it's personally handled by the project endeavour to check the terms and privacy policy.

Re: Binance Is straying deceitfully from the ideologies of Blockchain technology
by

Binance are not beholden to Satoshi's vision or plans, and in business, morals hardly come into play. As long as your actions are legal a business entity would do anything to further its interests and strengthen its hold on the industry.
I do not trade regularly on Binance and try as much as possible to avoid centralized exchanges.

Re: Crypto legend creates 'The Next Bitcoin'
by

on 22/03/2019, 18:38:07 UTC
The next Bitcoin? I think I've heard that word for as long as I can remember. All new coins always say that they are the next Bitcoin but failed after they launch the project.

Exactly, whenever I come across that phrase, I see it as the project looking to get more popularity by affiliating itself with bitcoin, and that attempt is enough to make me lose real interest. We are not looking for the next Bitcoin, but rather the next innovative technology which would improve transactions while retaining anonymity and keeping control in the hands of the holders.

by

You are very correct not all you watch on YouTube is 100% current and serve as an investment advice.

Tweak that a little, 'majority of what you watch on YouTube and see on the media is wrong and most probably a scam attempt to swindle you'.
If it looks to good to be true it probably is not.
Verify every piece of information.
Seek legal advice when planning a high risk investment.

Congratulations on ranking up to Snr member, it is a reflection of how the forum rewards quality posts.

This portion does not really increase ones chances of ranking up, it only ensures you do not get banned. Following the rules does not earn you merits.

Re: A list of bitcoin forums to check out
by

on 21/03/2019, 17:48:08 UTC
Most of these are actually cryptocurrency forums and not bitcoin based. Even this forum which is the off shoot of the creator of bitcoin also comprises all other cryptocurrencies.

If we discussing other forums, we should consider looking moonforum, you can search it up for the link, it is fairly new but already making waves and filled with quality discussions

Re: Would you like to become a Certified Bitcoin Professional?
by

on 21/03/2019, 17:08:25 UTC
We are as it is having trouble dealing with speculations and opinions from bitcoin 'experts' we do not really want to add professionals to the list.
There is no legal backing for that organization to certify anyone in the field of bitcoin, and the fact that it's a paid service makes it more shady. Concentrate on learning and applying your knowledge for profit or the betterment of the lives of others.

Re: Funny Them, Bitcoin is still King
by

I think bitcoin has been that strong because it is highly decentralized, not manipulated

High decentralization is one of the many pluses of bitcoin, even the creator Satoshi backed off from the currency and is till today unknown, allowing it to be truly, completely controlled by the community. Although there is the Bitcoin core team.
As a decentralized currency it can be manipulated, but it's maturity as a currency makes it resistant to such activities

Re: Bitcoin is difficult to rise above the price of $ 4000??
by
Kopyleft
on 18/03/2019, 16:32:05 UTC
I am optimistic that the price would indeed go above $4000, and so are lot of hodlers and even experts.
I would like to ask, what dynamics convinces you as a bitcoin hodler (if you are one) that the price would eventually boom sometime in the future?
It's been ten years on, and most people I meet already have heard a thing or two about bitcoin, what needs to happen to bring new investors?

fall below  $3000 will be a big disaster

I think it is unlikely that it falls below that range. And it all depends on the factors behind the fall, the market is unpredictable, but it follows patterns and reacts to them. The price could only fall so low considering there is a community of enthusiasts and hodlers.

Re: Without Hardfork, what is the true value of Bitcoin now?
by
Kopyleft
on 18/03/2019, 16:08:59 UTC
So if Bitcoin doesn't have Hardfork, what is its real value?

I do not quite grasp the meaning of this statement. I am not entirely expert on the concept of hard forks, but in a basic sense it is a way of creating another currency from rge sane chain, which may not be backward compatible (I stand to be corrected) it has momentary impact on the price of the currency being forked, especially if an airdrop is done. But does not affect the actual product or usability

I would love to see the blockchain technology implemented in educational sector, allowing students to pay fees, communicate (submit assignments, project defences etc) and access basic amenities directly using the blockchain technology.
It is a project I would personally love to work on.

Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS!
by

on 18/03/2019, 15:57:14 UTC
Device manufacturers need to pay more attention to security. Before the current digital wave, where people store assets on mobile devices and PC, phones were not primarily used to store important information, and much attention was not placed on security, passwords and unauthorized access.
Good post, I would look up WPS, and how it works.

After reading the title, I was hoping this would be a post with analysis and interpretations on why the price should get to $5000, and not some wishful thinking or expert opinion.
Let's try and stick to chart analysis, and desist from spreading shills or fud created by the supposed experts.
