Hello Guys!
I need some help! Since the last update my rig randomly drops one cars from the six. Only five working. I've changed the risers, cables, everything but after 20-30 minutes one card stops working....
I've changed the pool also, but the result always the same. I mining Zcash with six RX460s.
Any idea?

Try lowering clocks speed.
Also it could be riser or gpu itself.
Its normla in Mining world, there is no 100% stability , never.
Mea culpa! I find the root cause: there was a broken sata connector.... shit happens

Hello I am having some issues using SimplMining OS for Ethereum. I Was wondering if someone could help me with my current situation.
Fail to start Windows/SimpleMiningOS with 4 RX 480's plugged in (but 3 work)
I'm powering the USB Risers
I can boot Windows and SimpleMiningOS with 3GPUs plugged in, but not 4. If I plug in a 4th GPU, SimpleMiningOS boots, but the screen stays black, and hitting any key reboots the machine. Windows won't boot at all.
I power each USB Riser using molex connectors hooked up to the PSU.
I've tried setting each PCI-E slot to Gen1 (and every other option: Auto and Gen 2/3), tried set the PCI PEG setting to disabled (and every other option), and tried enabling/disabling 4G decoding. In fact, I've tried setting every combination of the above, but to no avail.
I can boot into SimpleMiningOS with 3 cards plugged in to the 1x PCIE slots over powered usb risers, but can not boot with a 4th card. I tried plugging the 4th into both the final PCI-E 1x slot and either of the free PCIE 16x slots, it makes no difference.
All cards are stock. I haven't flashed them with any custom BIOS, and haven't tried over/under clocking them yet.
I know it's not a bad card/riser that's causing the issue, because I tried rotating cards/risers, and each of them work just fine as long as only 3 GPUs are installed when I boot up.
What else can I try to get 4 GPUs booting? Obviously I'd like to get all 6 working, but... baby steps.

What kind of motherboard do you have?
1. check the motherboard BIOS updates - if there's a newer one, update it
2. 4G - always must be enabled if you want to use more than 3 cards
Because you turned on/off nearly everything, my proposal is to set the bios back to default, enable only 4G, disable the motherboard VGA and run the OS. I hope it'll help...

Have a question about custom config string in new DB. Seems, it has limited tength. I entered options for dual with sia. It works great, but after visiting miner options second time i see my string cut:
-dpool http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?
(must be -dpool http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?"address=f49187f8ef4478640b355b04bc4a9797d7dcf32bbfaf888a3eb008299194da7dfefcd6f479aa&worker=rig100500" -dcoin sia)
It would be nice to make variables like it is in eth. E.g.
-dpool http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?"address=$walletSIA&worker=$rigName
looks shorter. But max string length is still not enough.

hello all, im new here with this Os.. i have a few miners working fine with windows 10 but i want to give this a try because it seem much simple.. most of my rigs have 6 RX480 8Gb cards, one of them is giving me some problems and i think is the motherboard, im using msi Z270-A pro and is only working with 4 cards, everytime i try to enable the 4g decoding in the Bios the miner hangs.. the other rigs have biostar TB85 and they work fine. any ideas?? the other issue is with the OC, i change the values but it seem like is not working for me..

I had the same problem with my asus motherboard. I've updated the bios to the last release and now everything works fine. Check the BIOS version and if it's possible update it.

I need some help: I have a rig with 6x rx460 2 Gb cards. With simple mining OS the Zcash mining is running like a dream (650-750 S/s), but I cannot set up the simple minning OS to mine ETH. I know that my cards have only 2 Gb, but under win10 they are able to mine ETH with some special settings (10,5 - 11 Mh /s pro card).
My question is: how could I set the simple mining os with this rig to mine ETH?
Any idea?
