Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS
by

And why OWL keeps on going up in price? Honestly their site doesn't seem to be very unique or impressive - anyone has a credible explanation who is behind the price rise of that OWL token?!

We need to understand that tokens are somethings that has more higher volatility even than the coins itself, well atimes those behind the NFT pump the price just to deceives and eventually you discover a sporadic decline in its value, this is risky enough but weather rising or falling ones you have your assets in tokens then bear in mind the more danger it poses and same way it has a good opportunity to provide as well, but the effect of pump and dump could be disastrous.
Well I think its also due to market condition. We see a lil bit of pumping in the market recently. I saw that they are partnering with some big names out there and some influencers that could possibly be the reason for the pump. The market is recovering and surely we'll see more of these.

Re: Your opinion on side jobs
by
Koro-Sensei
on 06/03/2022, 23:03:31 UTC
General opinion is that a side job is one that supports the main income of an individual, often times perceived as something that brings little money to add to what you make from your day job. If Mr X earns better from a side job when compared to the income from his career option, does the side job still qualify to be called a side job?

Yes. If you are a Cop then you put up a business in your town which gives you bigger amount of income compare to your salary, then I think it is still consider as a side job. For me, the main reason for having a main job is its security. You are secured to have an income even if your side job fails to do that.

Similar functionalities? There are many. But I think Ada and Atom stands out. I see many of you here support Solana but the problem with them is that they trade decentralisation for speed which is not im a fan of. Ada and atom for me can compete with ETH in the long run as it has the same purpose but different build for sustainability.

Hello i had bought link for 1400euros for price about 31euros per link and now its about 10 euros per link
i wonder should i buy more link or should i go to a safer choise like bitcoin ? or get some ada with 0.67euro per ada ? ada price ATH ada was like 2.5 euro per ada ...

an links ATH was like 42euro per link...
what would you do if you were in my place?

every though is welcome!!! i just wonder what is the wiser choise of these 3 coins ada link and btc

do not you sell it at this time because the current market conditions do not have good growth. and there is no signal about altcoin rising yet. so you better hold on a little longer. because I believe the price of LINK will go up again in the future. and you will enjoy the benefits of LINK. and if you force yourself to sell LINK at a loss, then my advice is better buy BITCOIN.
Yeah right. OP should wait and surely you will be rewarded. The problem with this kind of situation is that we associated our trading with emotion that's why we ended up with buying at high price then selling at low price. Just hold it up and it will surge up soon when bull market comes in.

Re: Bitcoin or altcoins
by

Looking into the market from Last year's perspective till now I will say altcoin increases rapidly and also decreases than Bitcoin. But I don't think this should be one only consideration in holding both coins. For now, I hold the two not because of the listed fact but because of the potential with the coins I decide to invest in and other factors.
Agreed. It is better to hold both as it gives substantial profits. Diversifying our portfolio is a must. As for me, it is 60% BTC and 40% divided into alts that I would like to succeed in the long run. Ranges from Matic to Metaverse coins like P2E Metalands and DeFi sectors like SOV. Its better to enter now as it is still bearish.

Re: Conditions of bounty campaigns these days

Hello guys
Are you guys really getting paid from the Bounty campaigns these days? What are you earning on an average per week? How many campaigns are you working in?
I think alot of changed since 2018.
Well there are lots of scams bounties these days. Even those who has high reputation sometimes still don't pay just like what Citizen Finance did. I think the problem is not escrowing the funds. Only by that we can ensure the payments and distribution. Been applying some of the best Bounties out there and it didn't even gave me a lot since last year. Some of them didn't even pay up til now but im still hoping they do.

Re: What's your luck rate with CMC airdrops
by
Koro-Sensei
on 05/03/2022, 17:37:30 UTC
I participated in almost all Coinmarketcap airdrops within the time and never get so lucky to get rewarded from CMC. It is a full luck bases game and there are 100 times more people were joining these airdrop so the chance is getting rewarded is very much low. I think from now on I not going to waste my time on these airdrops because it provides nothing always.
Well, the fact that there are millions of participants, the probability of you winning is just almost 0. The rewards are too low too and these programs are just meant to have awareness and hype for the token itself added by passing the requirements to be eligible of putting a logo in Trust wallet. So, yeah youre correct that these airdrops are just a waste of time unless you have bots.

Re: Be prepared
by

nothing to be afraid of, everything flows as usual. therefore we should not be greedy in taking profits, so that we can buy back in bear season. although it seems easy, but many people get stuck in this reversal part, so what they get is just the opposite, namely regret. actually if that happens, then we have to be patient waiting for the bull season to come back
Well the fact that Ukraine and Russia's war isn't ending soon, and the happenings are escalating faster than anticipated, there's something to be afraid of. It's better to end your position than regretting it. Selling while you're still at profit is a must even if its small.

Re: DeFi Tokens
by
Koro-Sensei
on 05/03/2022, 17:21:39 UTC
For now, it looks like the DeFi project has started to be displaced by the Metaverse project and also the NFT. Now the heyday of DeFi has passed. However, there are still many tokens that carry the DeFi concept and continue to struggle to survive in the market.

Maybe, the lists on Coin market Cap will help you more how to find the right DeFi project moreover that have been listed in at least top exchanges.
https://coinmarketcap.com/view/defi/
Partially displaced I think. The fact that DeFi sector solves the problem with banks centralisation, its real life usage isn't fully unlocked yet. These newly hyped about Metaverse will surely end up same fate with DeFi, what would matter is their real life utilities to stand up in crowd. We didn't even have mass adoption for BTC DeFi.

I'm right here, Argument with my mate about the current invasion by Russia in Ukraine.
He just told me countries make money from war, could it be the journalist alone ? Government who please, I'm juvenile at this.
War is good for business. Thats what they say by which I dont see how. However, I think there's no winners in war. Both have losses. Both have destructions, physically seen in Ukraine and Economically seen in Russia caused by sanctions. Price hikes for fuels were everyone is affected. No one benefits from this but those who have grudges in their hearts. All market plunges but luckily crypto bounced back. I just hope this ends immediately.

Re: Real life utility question

I think we would still get to the point where cryptocurrency would be more than a speculative asset, but that would require some extent of regulation especially from the government. It's possible to feel that decentralization is Bae, but it comes with its own characteristics and challenges.
Agreed. Governments plays a big role in mass adoption and we could only achieve that by showing them the advantage of using crypto. Making it as a legal tender is one big step similar to what El Salvador did and now even creating a decentralise bank in cooperation with Sovryn and Lightning network. We'll get there soon. Just hold on.

Re: Donate to Ukraine
by

Hello !

I am DrBeer. I am a citizen of Ukraine. Ukraine, subjected to fascist aggression by Russia. There is a full-fledged war going on here, with death, destruction, grief, tragedies of people, families, entire cities! I see everything not from TV, I see it personally now - I now serve in the Territorial Defense.
To be honest, I did not expect such a wide, international support for Ukraine! This is the total support of all countries, all peoples - I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for everything - from words of support to financial assistance! For all the decisions that you make to help Ukraine, sometimes even to your own detriment. Thanks a lot !

We protect our homeland from world evil. We will win - victory will be ours!
The slogan of a free, independent Ukraine is "Slava Ukraine !"

I pray for you man. I hope you guys can safely resolve this war in diplomatic approach and not by what we see in news. Talks that could bring peace and not hate. I hope you make it out there man and could tell the tales to your grandchildren about how this war goes.

Re: Top Promising Altcoins That Failed?
by
Koro-Sensei
on 04/03/2022, 17:14:38 UTC
Which altcoins from the last few years where there was a lot of positive talk about it has failed?  And by failed, it means either it has went to 0 or it could be worth very little.  Like it could been 50 dollars at one point and now 0.50.

Also I am talking about coins that were at least in the top 50 or top 100 in coinmarketcap and then it just fell apart.  I don't mean a coin that came out and everyone had praise of it and it didn't even break the top 100 on coinmarketcap.

In my experience, it was PundiX. From 10$ to now 0.7$ and from top 50 to now top 270+ in CMC. The problem occurs when they migrated to new smart contract by which investors didn't like that time added by the fall of BTC. Another thing is SOVRYN who got 82$ as ATH last May then fell to 3.9$ as of the moment. I think these two didn't failed and even deliver what was promised. The problem occurs with the market itself where investors didn't feel safe to invest and bears took over.

Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments?
by
Koro-Sensei
on 04/03/2022, 17:05:15 UTC
Recently I recieved many airdropped from new projects of NFT tokens, Some are in good prices
like BAY and XPUNK, but many other NFT tokens are falling and rugged. But I know mostly of NFTs are based on hyped project,
and no one knows what will be the future of them.
Is it better to trade NFT tokens rather than holding it for longterm?
Well, I think NFTs isn't just a hype that could just vanished in the long run. NFT serves its purpose in giving creators the freedom to sell digital arts. Well, I agree that some projects ride the wave with the hype that NFT created but those legit once who really contribute to develop the space will for sure remain for the longest of time.

Re: What if Russia economy grows higher after the war
by
Koro-Sensei
on 03/03/2022, 18:16:02 UTC
What will happen if at the end Russia succeed in her conquest against Ukraine and take over the economy of Ukraine. That will extend the economic power of Russia no doubt and that will make Russia more powerful.

How will EU and NATO countries relate with Russia if that happens ?
Sanctions after sanctions, these will surely make Russia suffer even after they takeover kyiv. I think even if they could have Ukraine, the effect of international sanctions that they are facing will be massive in terms of economic drop. However, if they could find alternatives to these given sanctions added by the land and natural resources that Ukraine has, they could potentially be more powerful.

Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction
by
Koro-Sensei
on 03/03/2022, 18:11:07 UTC
Yes it does. Specially when you could have more coins when you sell at ATH then buy again at correction. The fact that it could leverage your position much more than even before makes me feel cringe. I feel that with SOV when it goes to 80$ and not selling hoping it could go up to 100$ then it fell to 4$ as of now. Sold up at 20$ then bought back last week for 3$.

Re: Newbie Come to Crypto What they should do first?
by

on 03/03/2022, 18:08:04 UTC
I don't know which others, when i come first I look at coinmarket cap and learning a detil the coin I want to buy.

My friend ask me, what coin he should buy , but I not really sure for now because I'm entering cryptocurrency 3 years ago. Too many coin right now that make me confusing
I think 3 years is not a short time to learn about coins. should be able to know the details of the coins he will buy. and also have to understand the criteria and conditions of a coin.
Yeah right. There are lots of coins right now out there compare to what we had 3 years ago. Specially that DeFi sector and NFT projects are emerging. I think when you want to really know about what to buy, buy BTC first. The most safe investment which could give you great profit in the long run and after that you can diversify your portfolio to alts starting with Eth to Ada or ATOM.

I guess this will still be continue as long as there's war in Ukraine and Russia. The fact that the world is terrified with what the Russian Federation did to Ukraine, having cash in your hand is quite a good strategic plan in case this goes to full scale global war. I just hope this war would go end ASAP or we will go back to stone age. Lol.

Re: Doge to the moon?
by

on 26/02/2022, 17:37:20 UTC
whatever Elon Musk does, will have a good impact on the development of cryptocurrencies, maybe for now Elon Musk wants Doge to be known by many people, but I'm sure there will be many altcoins ready to do it, hopefully Doge's price can rise to new ATH and other altcoins follow that trend
Nope. He isn't part of any development team in crypto. He is just an influencer who uses his name to gain more money. He isn't even building any infrastructure for blockchain developments nor even backing up projects related to this. He's just busy with his Tesla and SpaceX projects and doesn't want to recreate money in a good way.

Re: About USDT
by
Koro-Sensei
on 26/02/2022, 17:31:19 UTC
Please correct me if I got it all wrong, audited projects are projects that have passed some security checkup right? As a newbie I kinda like investing in projects that are audited atleast so back to my question, USDT is the biggest stable coin right? When I tracked it on coinmarketcap I found out that's it passed audits through Certik and Fairyproof, why haven't this clear the rumour that USDT might fail someday? Because it's Centralised? If that's it then why DAI ( decentralized stable coin) haven't grow over USDT all this while?
Well the fact that Tether is minting USDT in the last few months for almost every weeks, it is kind of questionable whether this minted USDT is truly backed by real USD. They just said that it is in a secure bank and is 1:1 to USD which is kinda worrying. There are even rumors that during 2017, they minted USDT without backing it up, so no doubt that there will always be rumors of USDT crashing.
