How did your router tell you port 8333 is "open" ?

There is no way bitcoins will ever replace currencies, since no one controls them and that's one of those things governments like to do, "being in control".

I think this is a little much for a domain that should be giving away "free" bitcoin. Anyway, good luck

"Mine" money using computers. What's not to like?
Also, as a webdeveloper, I see bitcoins as a great and new way to earn some cash by creating something the community can use.

I use deepbit, because money I can see the money coming in every hour
On the other hand, I'm very tempted to either start mining in BTC Guild or Triplemining.
Triplemining was the first pool for me to contribute in, but at that time it took over 50hours to find a block, which was pretty frustrating for a beginner.

Now that I found myself a dedicated 5870 @ 445MH/s, I'm reconsidering BTC Guild or even an other smaller pool. Any suggestions?
