He created it, he didn't create the pump groups, the scams, the FUD, the doubt, he created a system that worked and it is now being misused by some which is scaring off many.

BitConnect for me was one thing but Tether is a real cancer.
Bitconnect was like a bad wig that slipped off, Tether is something more pervasive and difficult to excise. I feel the Tether problem will cost BTC dearly.

Multiple reasons, ponzis, mum and dad investors pulling out, poor quality advice and FUD.
I think the fact so many Altcoins are linked to BTC mean that Altcoin bloodbaths result in BTC casualties - people withdraw their coins and sack off crypto..

I have looked into all three coins and Burst seems good, but Storj isn't far off. Maybe $2 per TB. Would it make sense to mine 70% Burst and 30% Storj?

I have an "interesting" problem. I have four rx560 4gb GPUs, two XFX and two MSI Aero. XFX are on x16 slots on MBO, MSI on x1, on risers.
The problem is that GPU0 and GPU1 are on 12 MH/s but GPU2 and GPU3 are 5,3 MH/s.
I flashed them with BIOSes from this forum. I tested MSI on WIN10 and it goes for a 14 MH/s and XFX is max 13 MH/s.
Linux Mint, 4.10 kernel, amdgpu-pro.17.40 driver, for a blockchain.
Claymore 10.5, ETH/sia
Two PSU, 400W and 550W, MBO AM2+, quad core proc, 8 GB RAM. There's plenty hdd space, 16gb swap.
Now, the problem is that's too low hashrate on two cards, I don't have an idea how to fix it. I tries some solutions from net but no avail. Commands from claymore seems not working.
Can anyone help me with this? Would it be better if all four GPU are on risers?

Would have initially said check your page file, but it seems to match your 4x4gb @ 16gb.
I'm thinking here is some sort of BIOS limitation - can I ask what CPU you are using? It's not an APU is it?
There is some sort of bottleneck when you are running more than 2 cards - most of those boards are rated for SLI, but it really depends on the board with anything more than that.
I recommend maybe getting a cheap AM3 board with a Piledriver or maybe an FX6300, should run stable.
Yes, it's the great time to buy up now because than all the altcoins will skyrocket again! As for which ones i recommend AION, REBL, EBTCH. All of them are really low right now and are undervalued. Time to get in it is right now!
I completely agree with you - now is a very good time to buy many coins. Except for those you listed, I recommend buying a ripple, Tron, Iota. I'm sure they will show excellent growth.

Do you think it will recover after the FUD? The whitepaper rumours were pretty damaging, and I haven't heard a good explanation yet from Justin or anyone on the team.
I own 700, so it would be great. But I don't see the hype.

You can estimate the difficulty, we're not near 4gb yet - and like an earlier poster said you should be more concerned with Ethereum switching to proof-of-stake (holding coins and staking them) rather than proof-of-work (which involves miners and GPUs processing transactions for a block reward).
If you can get any of these cards for RRP, you're laughing.

Great project, really interesting to track your progress and read about the technical aspects of larger scale solar operations.
I was wondering if you know anything about possibly repurposing solar heating panels to power a small miner or two? In the UK I believe we have restrictions on the storage of solar electricity, I think it has be converted 'live'.
Would solar heating panels generate enough to power a miner for a few hours a day?

Ethereum isn't 'just' an altcoin, it's Eth...
It stands alone without Bitcoin and any good cryptocurrency will do that. Altcoin is an umbrella term to refer to coins 'other' than Bitcoin. I think their success deteremines whether or not they get to be referred to by their name or simply as 'an altcoin'.
I see the sentiment, but Bitcoin simply 'is'. It may become redundant, but the success of any other coin will always be considered relative to Bitcoin.

First there is the Tether problem, which demands further scrutiny but is enough to shake the market significantly.
Secondly, there is the issues of ponzis, namely Bitconnect, Davor and the 'lending platforms'. They have taken a large amount of 'mom and pop' money from the economy with their demise and a lot of other speculators pulled the plug also.
Thirdly, the transaction fees recently have been way too high to warrant practical use of the network for anyone holding less than .5 BTC.
The lack of regulation, and even the rumour of any kind of regulation is enough to shake the market for a day or a week. The volatility that makes the market so intriguing for speculators.

It always start with one gpu and ends with crazy farms. Goodluck with your first step , i am mining for 2 years now and still alot to learn , by the way i started with one GPU also 
I'm already planning my next gpu purchase. When this price dies down I'll grab some. I still have a ton of stuff to learn but my understanding of crypto and the mining process has increased substantially since I started mining. Good luck to you as well!
Would recommend grabbing some 560 4gbs, they're still roughly profitable and dropping in price all the time. They're about half the hashrate out the box of a 570, so if you can grab one for half the price you're in a good position.
Good work on getting the 480, I started off with an R9-390 I built with earnings from crawling through faucets
I have 570s with Hynix, but a friend of mine landed two Gigabyte cards, an Aorus and a Gaming card with Samsung chips. His out-of-the-box performance was way better than mine. Why haven't you posted custom timings for the Samsung cards?

What is the size of your page file (virtual memory) in Windows? Claymore (and some other miners as well) require a fairly high page file in order to function reliably. If you haven't already, try setting it to the total of your VRAM across all GPUs.

This is a great tip, I'd never realized that. So matching the VRAM will help maintain the hashrate? I've watched so many videos on mining and nobody has ever mentioned the importance of the page file. Gonna adjust it now.

The one drawback I can think of off the top of my head is that PoS is hyperinflationary unless block reward is reduced after every n blocks. You end up needing a Weimar Republic style wheelbarrow to haul enough cryptocurrency around to pay for a Pepsi... metaphorically speaking, of course.
And for you tossers that keep suggesting I sign up with Madoff (currently serving a rather lengthy prison term, as I recall) I am ASKING QUESTIONS TO LEARN MORE, NOT TO SHOOT DOWN YOUR PRECIOUS COIN. I am skeptical by nature and don't necessarily believe that every "fantastic opportunity" is, indeed, such. It probably has something to do with my mom dragging me to a timeshare sales presentation just so she could get a free camera.
