December 2019 updates

Thailand Will Integrate Blockchain Into Its E-Visa Process Through ShareRing Partnership
One ID to Rule Them All
The upgraded eVOA process will be powered by OneID, ShareRing’s proprietary identity management system which is proclaimed to be agile, scalable and highly secure. OneID harnesses advances in information security and consensus protocols in distributed systems to facilitate quicker entry into Thailand via online application. It also protects user data by handling Know Your Customer (KYC) information via a Self Sovereign Identity Protocol. ShareRing does not hold any identifying information on its servers, and the protocol encrypts and stores travelers’ personal data in a secure enclave within their device.

The past 9 months have been really diffucult for ICO's but I know of 2 projects that ran in the summer and autumn that I am really comfortable having taken part with as they are backing real world products. SHR from ShareRing and WOLLO from Pigzbe. In general it makes sense for any companies contemplating launching funding to pause until market conditions improve.

The standard advice for all investments is that nothing goes up in a straight line. You should expect there to be pullbacks after all gains as this is how traders make their profits. Bitcoin rose from $3,300 to over $4,000 so it is natural to see it give back some ground before the next leg up.

Re: bounty hunter paid USDT?

Ask yourself this question, if a project can get free advertising by allocating a portion of their generated tokens to send to bounty hunters then why would they divert cash raised from ICO to spend instead?

Re: Why not buy Ethereum

I am still quite happy to buy Ethereum as it is often the most accepted medium of exchange on ERC-20 tokens and is fast to get into the exchanges. It is also the most widely accepted form of funding for ICO projects. If you only hold if for a small time and use it to exchange for other cruptos then I don't have any problem with Etherum.

I think POS is a superior form of network verification to POW and it certainly inolves an awful lot less power consumption. POW has been the defacto standard since Blockchain began but I think that is slowly changing.

Re: who are those buying when the price is down and almost everyone is dumping ?

I haven't been dumping anything during the time the market was going down, I guess I was one of those people buying and I am just a standard investor looking for opportunities to pick up some cheap price coins. Investing mantra best time to buy is when there is blood on the streets.

Re: buy NEO coins now?

I have been steadily increasing my NEO holdings under $10 and expect to keep them until the next bull phase takes over and is a catalyst to grow the market. I had to average down from much larger positions so it is still going to be some time before I can actually break even. Patience is on my side, I can afford to wait things out.

From an investment standpoint and not putting all of your eggs in one basket, I already own a selection of the blockchains listed. I still think Ethereum will take some beating as they have experience and a prove track record and a revised chain coming live after January 16th. Besides ETH I hold NEO, EOS, ADA

I use several wallets depending on the chain standard of the underlying coin. For ERC-20 I still use MyEtherWallet it works well for me and has adequate security. I have several wallets to spread any potential risks and keep different coins in each. I also have some developer wallets for NEO, XRP, WOLLO, EOS and use Exodus for everything else.

If you are a trader and want to spend hours each day watching a screen of candles then sure try and trade the movements of each coin. But also a HOLD strategy works just as well if not better if you are comfortable to sit on what you have and wait for a market recovery it only involves 1 target and less time to manage.

Re: ETH is pumping!
by

I believe that Ethereum became very oversold, not the least due to the fact that projects that had collected ETH during their ICO phases were almost forced into selling large amounts to preserve investment funds for the near term. I think at the current Bitcoin price Ethereum should really be around $200 so we can still see some good potential from here.

Re: Next Golden Crypto Wave???
by

on 04/01/2019, 04:38:54 UTC
I think most new ICO activity will be postponed until the direction of the market changes to rising, most of those raising capital during 2018 have suffered large price drops and loss of value in the ETH funds they raised. This low market state has presented a buying opportunity for those with liquid funds, but many have also endured heavy losses if they purchased in 2017 or early 18 and may never come back.

Re: What will you do in 2019?
by
Kryten12

I have been picking up additional coins for my existing bags and starting some new ones in the past 4 months, it seemed the best strategy to take in a falling market. I will hold these waiting for the next bull phase to start wether that happens during 2019 or after, I am happy to wait and see what develops.

I have been using MyEtherWallet for over 20 months now and I am more than satisfied with the ease of use and also the security arrangments that should suit all cases. Only things to be mindful of is never click any links to take you to the website always type them in yourself and make sure it has the Green Padlock and MYETHERWALLET Inc US

Re: What's the trends of altcoins in 2019?
by
Kryten12
on 03/01/2019, 05:44:39 UTC
The most likely trend for the altcoins in 2019 is that they will follow Bitcoin and to some extent Ethereum in price direction. I expect us to be in a rising market before the summer of 2019.

I have been quietly accumulating from the established altcoins such as ETH, NEO, OMG, ADA, XRP and supplementing those with some of the ICO coins from 2018 that have been heavily reduced in value. My favoured coin for 2019 will be SHR.

by

It is only a matter of time before Ethereum rises in price and I expect that rise to come during the next bull phase of the market. What shows more for ETH at the moment is that it is rising without the Bitcoin influence so that is more impressive for me.

The moderators are responsible for the boards, but I suspect that the unloved and non-traded coin threads will quickly fall down the list and disappear from view. Good luck to all crypto holders for 2019 I hope our patience in stiking with the depressed market will be justly rewarded.
