Great question. Kudos is designed to be the main payment and rewards protocol used by other marketplaces and service-oriented businesses from ridesharing apps to coffee shops to restaurants. We expect to be heavily used across all two-sided marketplaces in the gig economy first and then grow from there. Skedaddle is already moving 70k riders a month where Kudos will be initially exposed.

Absolutely! We believe that Kudos will dramatically reduce discrimination in tipping. Users will no longer be asked to assess the worth of a worker, take money out of his/her own pocket, and calculate an arbitrary tip amount.

Users will simply have to select 1-5 stars based on the question "How was your experience?" which will proportionally reward workers automatically. Not only will this be an improved user experience, but it should help evaluate performance more fairly.

Hey there! Kudos will first be integrated into the Skedaddle app. Skedaddle users will earn Kudos for riding, sharing, starting, and more. Drivers will earn Kudos proportional to the aggregate rating they receive after each ride.

Users will be able to use Kudos within Skedaddle to upgrade experiences, feature routes, receive discounts, and more!

Like many other token launches, we're holding the sale now to give us the ability to bring Kudos to market within the Skedaddle app as soon as possible. Then, we plan to use our rapidly growing user base to refine the protocol before opening to others. That way, we make sure to position Kudos for long-term growth and stability.

Unfortunately, there are no bounties at this time.

The Kudos token will launch this October as an ERC20 smart contract, and will be available for the token sale. However, the Kudos smart contracts that power the Kudos protocol and use the Kudos token will be launched in Q1 2018.

What is the Kudos protocol?

The Kudos protocol gives businesses across all service-based industries the ability to reinforce optimal behavior/engagement for users and workers alike via programming user rewards using Kudos and rewarding workers according to performance based ratings, respectively. No deep understanding of blockchain technology will be necessary, as the protocol will layer directly on top of existing payment processing and POS systems. Thus, Kudos will become the first mainstream protocol and token for everyday use across all service economies that are sustained by users and workers. Kudos will become essential infrastructure for real businesses today -- from ridesharing to coffee shops to restaurants -- and become the backbone of web 3.0, blockchain-based businesses tomorrow.

Who is behind Kudos?

Kudos is initially being built by the Skedaddle team to be integrated into the Skedaddle app to grow in initial value. The protocol will then be managed by an independent non-profit, the Kudos Foundation to facilitate expansion. Skedaddle will be one of many future businesses to integrate the protocol and join the ecosystem.
