I think even wasting the computing power trying to crack one of these passwords is a bit of a waste of time...  If you were considering wasting energy doing this instead of earning coins mining, what makes you think the owner of the original address isn't selling wallets with insane passwords that you will never ever in a million years have a chance of guessing?  I seriously doubt these wallet.dat sales are all from people with easy to guess passwords that just forgot them...

Indirectly "sMerit" is given to the person who plays a role behind an account. If it is sold then the account changes character because of owner change. And it will be different sMerit to get, the new owner can get faster sMerit because more qualified or otherwise never again get sMerit.

I totally subscribe to your views about current merit system which has made difficult for new comers to rank up as people give merits based on personnel liking or groups of people share merits among them and  quality of posts is not the only criteria to get merit which was the core purpose introducing merit system.

The introduction of merit system to Bitcointalk is a great idea aimed to reduce spamming and low quality contributions. But I believe that it should be implemented in a way that also favors newbies in ranking up. Some members are engaged in merit racketeering or trading, and that may make it harder for low ranked members to rank up as they do not belong to this "special group".

I just registered my interest to participate in the competition. I'll be waiting for the competition to officially kick off (if it hasn't already). This would be my first tipster competition and I'm looking to compete actively for the prize and hopefully get to win not just my bets but the prize too. Let's see how it goes. This should be fun.

I just know how it feels as a hunter. We are being mistreated by some projects and bounty managers, in terms of distribution. They don’t appreciate about our time and effort in promoting them, giving them the traffic and exposure that they need. However, they don’t respect us in any way no matter how talented we are. We’re being degraded into the lowest level, in which they distribute it like after 3 monthsm, 6 months, 1 year or so. Plus, KYC deadlines too like no matter how high is our quality of work but never submitted KYC, they don’t reward us for our efforts.

Like in CitiOS, they said that distribution is after 6 months, but eventually they vanished. However, joining bounty programs also considered risks. As we acknowledge that once we participated in those programs, we should understand the risks that there’s a chance that the project may not flourish and our tokens would turn into shitcoins.

Your said was true and correct, the majority of the Developers not all I think in my own view and assessment only are abusers.
Because, I was also a bounty hunters and I have encountered a lot of projects campaign were in the end they never give the rewards. They've robbed what is belongs to us, and abused our effort because they know that the bounty hunters are in need financially.
