That's pretty fucked up, I had a similar experience recently. It was a few days before they even responded to the ticket, it had unstuck by then. No one in the trollbox would answer me Sad

Re: Why do people create more than one BTC wallet ?
by
Kusheez
on 14/06/2017, 16:55:12 UTC
The very first reason is probably because people simply do not want to keep all their savings in one purse. If suddenly one of their wallet is broken, then the remaining coins remain intact on other accounts
yes that is very right. to me in fact most of the people are using online wallet, which may not be so much secure, therefore when people have more bitcoin in their wallet then there is more risk of losing their money, therefore most of the people distribute their money in different wallet, where they feel a little safe. to me I am using different wallet for different purposes. for signature campaign and for spending money I have separate wallet which mostly use for spending btcoin, while for trading I have another wallet, which I only use for trading and holding bitcoin for investment purposes.

I heard that if you want to remain anonymous, you should change your address every once in a while, but hiwnis this possible? If everybody switched wallets wouldn't we run out of possible keys because they all got used up? Will people have wallets that other people are currently using, O mean, will the same wallet be registered in two different clients?

Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?
by

I store my bitcoins to in the future if the price will rise to earn a little money, but for me it's just entertainment because I have too small amount of coins and even if they will grow in price rich I won't. Probably the majority of people does not have more than a few bitcoins.

Yes I am saving bitcoin for future purpose and not for fun, because I am not thinking to gamble my bitcoins, if ever I have a bigger holding value. Saving without good purpose ends up to unworthy activity because most of us who has money will be planning what is best for our future specially when we had a family to support for, like a married person having kids.

Re: bitcoin & The Simpsons and Family Guy

Nah, it's just a joke. Nothing in there to promote bitcoin. Actually it just seem to acknowledge the belief that bitcoins are mostly used for criminal activity online.

Maybe because it is getting popular since it hit $3000 price that time, bullying and bitcoin don't have any connections so I think it s like that. The line "give me your lunch money online" is funny, you add up the bitcoin accepting thing because it is online, makes it hilarious.

I saw Peter mention bitcoin on a episode of Family Guy another time, he looked at the screen and said 'Bitcoin!!'. That was it. No explanation or joke after that about bitcoin.

There was a bump on AS that had all the writers favorite altcoins and I think Dogecoin was the top of the list.

Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear?
by
Kusheez
on 14/06/2017, 00:25:08 UTC
Real money will never disappear for the simple fact that there is no offline cryptocurrency and I don't see that there ever could be. I do think however they will complement each other.

Until they take bitcoin at McDonalds and the Shell station, I think I'm going to stick to cash. It's really a pain to buy giftcards with bitcoin, and you can only buy certain places (I can't find Taco Bell on the Gyft app, they have a lot of places but they aren't all so useful).

I can't give bitcoin to my dealer Smiley

Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency?
by

Bitcoin will always have its place in the cryptoworld but its dominance is going to be replaced soon. Ethereum is currently the top contender but if not that then next year something else will probably rise up.

I haven't been here long, but from my research, I don't see bitcoin being replaced because of how long it took to get to this point. There might be other alt coins that reach the same price. And maybe in time they will have as many transaction as bitcoin. But bitcoin is the oldest and I think people will always respect that.

Re: Is it better to save money or invest it?

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

If you have five hundred thousand USD its better to save money in the bank. Once you save your money in the bank with higher amount of saving its earn a high interest (e.g one million USD saving in the bank with interest of 3%, your 1M USD earn three hundred thousand USD).
LOL. You have interest every year on the bank because there is the inflation. If there is no inflation, there will be no interest. And, you can see that you can not earn anything while putting your money in the bank. Be smart. Take some risks and invest your money

If the interest rates were up, a bank wouldn't be so bad because of how safe your investment is. Not the returns of a blue chip stock, but decent returns if it's enough money. There is a lot more risk in a stock, but way more potential gain. Them bitcoin, crazy volatile with unlimited upside. I guess the compromise is having a little of all of it.

Re: Mining coins save or sell it?

Is it still possible to mine bitcoin without being a big farm of miners?
I'm kind of new, interested in mining because I get free electricity where I live. But it seems like I'm reading that the days of bitcoin mining for individual people is over; you have to spend ALOT to start out. And the cloud mining stuff seems like a scam, or at least everyone says so Sad

What about the alt coins, like ethereum?
