Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness
by

No wonder that Steve Wozniak the Apple co-founder m/2018/02/02/apple-co-founder-steve-wozniak-on-selling-bitcoin.html]sold his bitcoin because riding the roller coaster stressed him out.

How do you manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility?

Simple. Store your BTC in cold storage such as Paper wallet, Trezor or Ledger then stop visiting the crypto website. In my case. I left my trezor to my relative's house which they didn't know what really it is so that I don't have access to it whenever I'm tempted to trade or sell some. Right now I'm focused on buying BTC using my salary in my job and directly store in my cold storage. Wish me luck that my wallet is in good condition/safe or else I will be fck up my life savings.

----

Just buy and forget everything.

Wishing you all the luck in the world. if its a game of chance, you are taking yours. I like what you are doing and ive taken something from that

Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin?
by
Kwame21
on 26/10/2019, 08:38:44 UTC
I am doing market research for a potential project.
If there was a website you could go to daily where you would earn anywhere from 1 cent - 10 cents worth of bitcoin just for clicking a button, would you do it?
No strings attached, no deposit required. You go to the website, push a button and 5 cents is deposited into your wallet. Would you go every day and do it, or is it not worth your time?

Like a Paid-to-Click site? With lots of scams nowadays, it will be a tough challenge for you but I think even for a small percentage, there should be someone who will test the waters there. Obviously and technically, you will not send the payment right after it was being credited to their respective account and you will set a minimum tier for them to be able the withdrawal, well to save fees. On that reason alone, one can be tired of achieving the minimum amount to withdraw and soon they will abandon their progress.

Why not just focus on the content instead? Not with the rewards, not with the prize, not with the benefits, but anyone will go to your website if there's a useful and interesting content there. Those small rewards are just a bonus.

Well said. i think thats the motive behind some of these sites. People are often frustrated and forget about all their efforts. Anyway, im sure to give it a try once im convinced its safe

Re: Don't run for merits!
by
Kwame21
on 21/10/2019, 08:16:27 UTC
I never wanted to run behind merits because for me its like I am changing my attitude and posting behaviour to get something in return. Just be yourself and learn more about cryptos.

The advice from day one has always revolve around not casing after the merits but that doesn't mean you should remain the way you were if your posting style or habit wasn't productive to the forum.  Don't forget, spammers are alway satisfied with the way they post so them changing won't just benefit them in regards to getting merited but it'll also benefit the forum in general as less spam and more productive discussion will be recorded on the forum.

There's nothing wrong in changing your style of posting when you notice they weren't productive in the first place, bear in mind the merit system was introduced to improve the level of quality contributions on the forum so if users are adjusting to this, you don't discourage them instead encourage them to make it a part of their posting style but not by faking it. It's more beneficial when you start producing quality contributions and this isn't just for the merit as it has other benefits like gaining more knowledge by interacting with other quality contributions and been recognized for your posting abilities (which come with it's own rewards).
No,I don't want to discourage anyone by creating this topic but I feels people chasing it rather than earning.

You can see people posting articles and tweets from someone to get merits which is the thing I feel as chasing.Merit also changed my posting behaviour but when people forcing them to get merits with useless predictions which even mostly from others, they will just add the source so they won't get banned.

Merit may change but people were pretending to be as more productive just for merits.
On this forum, Merit provides great opportunities, so everyone wants it.
Merit doesn't offer anything other than reaching ranks.
Sincerely, I kinda find it difficult to understand your arguments. Merits are good right? If something is good, people tend to rush for it. Its natural. So i agree with the first advice that even though I need the merits as a newbie, I must learn to earn it right. So if Im gonna chase merits (which is not likely), I have to learn and by doing so, I will know how to earn it properly. Thanks for your initiative anyway. Ive learnt a lot from it

Do politicians take us for granted?

⭐ Merited by Layers318 (1)
The story here in most African countries is weird. Its like the only time these politicians seem to care is when election is approaching. They visit us, give us empty promises and a whole lot. Funny enough, they are voted for massively. Then once they are in power, we are out of the picture. In my country for instance, apart from what I was taught back in school, I cant really pinpoint the essence of the Legislature. From my observation, this has become a cycle. Its like instead of them bringing up policies that will improve lives, they waste resources just like that and master how to make us vote for them when the time comes.
My worry is, are we naive or thats just how the game of politics is played?

Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam
by
Kwame21
on 20/10/2019, 22:57:03 UTC
I fully support the creator of this article! By itself, bitcoin appeared after people were tired of enduring! In all countries, a machine is turned on and new money is printed, thereby inflation takes place, thereby becoming more expensive, thereby depriving people of their money! already there are few countries where paper money is equal to the amount of gold! Bitcoin will never be a classic paper money system!
an era of progress which, when progress can be accepted among the community means that old habits are considered hunting, but it is not like that crypto is better than paper currency but crypto can happen because of paper currency so that from few years ahead it is expected easier transaction implemented does not mean paper money is bad...

Great input. I think paper currency was very necessary at the time it was invented. Now, a new era has come. The era of cryptocurrency. However, paper currency shouldnt be made to look like it was a waste of time.

Re: what is the difference between staking and mining???
by
Kwame21
on 20/10/2019, 22:38:27 UTC
another thing to consider about the difference between the two is with examples. when a mineable PoW coin is released even if the developer premines the coin, he still has to invest in the mining equipment if he wants to make more profit on his coins and "do work" for it.
but when a staking PoS coin is released and the developer premines it, he simply sits back and relax and does basically NOTHING but gets paid for "doing no work". and that is one of the biggest flaws in PoS in my opinion which is the same as the rich gets richer for only being rich.

So if I understood well, staking is easier and biased as compared to mining?

Re: What's your opinion of gun control?
by
Kwame21

http://i.imgur.com/q6sJpTH.jpg

Guns are made for one purpose, and that purpose is to kill.
I believe that guns are not weapons, they are tools. How they are used is up to the person holding it.
Guns are especially dangerous in the hands of people who don't know how to use them (i.e., kids and teenagers) as well as those who are mentally ill and/or have a temper problem.
Gun control will not stop violence because a violent person doesn’t need a gun to be violent.
After the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, support for gun control increased dramatically.

Generally in America, the support for gun control has outweighed the support for gun rights.
Are gun control laws constitutional?
What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

I agree with you. Violent people use other materials in their acts. Stabbing incidents have become very common these days. In the absence of a gun, people who intend to cause harm could still go on with it. People possess guns for different reasons. Instead of focusing on the laws too much, I think focus should also be on how to stop or minimize the wrong circulation of guns. Else thousands of laws on gun control may be passed but if the wrong people are still coming into contact with guns, then they will use it for its only intended purpose

Re: Bitcoin will Be 1M$ if all countries Ban it
by
Kwame21
on 20/10/2019, 21:17:36 UTC
IF the whole world ban BTC at first BTC will Crash very hard but only for a few month, Demand will be increased while there will be no Legal Seller, All trade will go to undergrand and  Black market and illegal traffic, sellers will start to selling BTC 50 X more than current price. BTC will be more expensive, As simple as that,
That was an answer for these who said BTC will die if whole world Ban it, So no BTC never Die.

I dont see how this is gonna work. Yeah, a few might benefit if such a situation should occur but hows this gonna benefit the majority at large...

Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto?
by
Kwame21
on 20/10/2019, 21:06:12 UTC
Africa as a good place for crypto? Yes it would. Africa is a continent where some countries are ready to embrace good things. Ofcourse, banks are there to oppose certain things which are likely to pose their businesses to threat. Once africans realize crypto will fetch them money, they will quickly embrace it and work into crypto. However, in an instance where the money is keeping them to wait longer, trust me they will back off. Crypto will be good in Africa but the issue of patient can be a challenge.

I kinda agree with your input. Once its good and the methodology is pretty acceptable, most Africans will accept it. I believe strongly crypto has a future in Africa.

Re: Propagating bitcoin among indigenous populace
by
Kwame21
on 19/10/2019, 22:19:29 UTC
I believe knowledge is power and this also applies to any ventured investment. Understanding one's indigenous environment first can help to establish and harness strategies on how to dispense information about bitcoin especially on the country economic stronghold amidst exploring the vastness of trade and building currency value. Finally, creating more platforms like this and involving the indigenous media with the true value that bitcoin as a crypto portrays will be of great economic help to the community and the nation at large.

In my country the indigenous populace are living in the remote areas with limited access to electricity and zero internet connection. Aside from that poverty is high and they are even have a problem on eating rich food since most of the times they are only eating once a day. If we want to teach bitcoin to these indigenous people then we should provide assistance to them. Here are the biggest obstacles in teaching bitcoin to Indigents:

1. No food at the table

It is hard to teach about bitcoin when they are merely surviving. If we want to teach about cryptocurrency them we should help first by providing livelihood programs so they can earn for themselves and buy food in their table and provide other necessities.

2. High illiteracy rate

These people does not even know how to read and write except for some and it is a need to establish a school near the area. How can they understand bitcoin if they even know how to read and write.

3. Absence of Electricity

There is a need to set-up electricity in their area which is very costly considering their distance to the urban centers.

4. Installation of internet connection

This is very important, How can they use bitcoin if there is no internet connection

5. Cannot afford to buy pc or mobile phones

Due to poverty they cannot avail to buy these things but we cannot give dole out so we need to strenghten their livelihood program.

At the end of the day it is very hard to teach the indigenous people about bitcoin since before we can teach them we need to solve their problems at the grassroot level. Aside from that it is very costly.

This is almost mission impossible. The story is almost the same in my country. However, some locals have quality education, mobile phones and the others. i believe if these individuals are targeted, it will go a long way in affecting the people around them.

Re: What is in mind of those, who against vaccination?
by
Kwame21
on 19/10/2019, 13:28:23 UTC
The history of mankind should learn people smth. But, it is not. Many diseases dissapeared just because of vaccines. But some people forgot about that. They think that it has nothing to do with them. The fear of vaccination is stronger than the fear of death. I'm afraid that many deadly diseases can return someday.

There are so many cases of patients with measles in my country, but it still not encourage most people to vaccinate their children. They think it's a light child disease. And never speak about complications, that they children may have after measles.

How is the situation with vaccination in your country? Why do you think many people against vaccination?

The problem in my country, from my observation, is due to poor sensitization and lack of accurate source of information. People who cant read tend to rely on what they hear others say. Unfortunately, the rumors are mostly negative. The way forward, I believe, is proper public education on the essence of vaccines, risks associated with skipping and so on. You cant transform all but majority may be brought into the light.

Re: If you want to be rich..!
by
Kwame21
on 19/10/2019, 13:01:20 UTC
The thing is we want to be rich but we spend more than we could afford,
That's a big one.  I'd say if you want to be rich (and it would be nice to have a definition of that, BTW), stay far away from high-interest credit cards and don't buy anything that you can't pay cash for.  I've seen a lot of people fall into the trap of maxing out their credit cards, and then they're stuck with monthly payments that they can't ever seem to get ahead of.

Not having children is also a good idea in general, especially if you're young and trying to establish a career.  I think fewer people ought to be having kids, based on the lousy parenting I see from so many people, but they're also a cash sink that prevents people from ever climbing out of poverty.  If being wealthy is your goal, probably skip reproducing until you achieve that goal.

And yeah, start investing early.  That's one of the things I wished I'd done years ago.  I would also suggest investing in good dividend-paying stocks or index funds, but I'm by no means a financial guru.  Having an income stream from somewhere is very important, though.  I'm damn sure of that.

The last, and probably the most important thing I can think of for the average person is to invest in an education that's going to provide you with a solid career, i.e., going to college and majoring in one of the health fields, engineering, etc.  Computer science is a good choice, too.  Unless you're born with a head for business and have a serious entrepreneurial drive, you'll need a career that pays good money and it's very hard to get that without an education.  Oh, and pick a school that doesn't charge an insane tuition, else you'll be paying it off for decades.

Nice topic.  Disclaimer:  I'm not rich.0

This is very insightful. The second point is clearly seen in Africa. Majority of the people who are in extreme poverty have more children than they can cater for and that cycle continues. So knowing when to start making babies or a family is very important in wealth creation.
Also, you must be smart as you work hard. It always starts with some effort. Hardwork is equally important as smartness

Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity?
by
Kwame21
on 19/10/2019, 11:38:34 UTC
Well, I am not for the idea that Bitcoin is losing its popularity. Checking the market stats now, it appears that Bitcoin dominance occupies about 70% and this is good for Bitcoin. Aside the market dominance, Bitcoin still remains the number one position on the market. Bitcoin is the future.
