''For comparison, Ripple has sold on average 300M XRP per month for the past 18 months.''
Since then, the price of XRP has changed by a factor of 40 or so. It's hard to justify assuming that the level will remain constant. At 27 cents (the price as I write this), that would be about $80 million per month. So long as we're the largest holder of XRP, anything that significantly pushes down on the price of XRP and its prospects for long-term success in terms of value and liquidity is against our interests. Our investors are not looking to make a quick buck.
So that kindof says to me "We are letting our investors in slowly." Meaning, accumulate their shares while still low. Could be a good strategy.
i moved 20k xrp a few days ago...cost was 0.00002 of 1 xrp i think....
i was shocked at how much i saved.... im so used to changing alts to btc then moving btc..waiting hours upon hours, restless , cant sleep until its moved , and times it has taken days and then the huuuuge fees...makes me wana cry..
but no more... i now use XRP for all movements
even if im trading another alt, when i want to move it, i now change it to xrp first then move it..within 10-20seconds and almost for free
PLEASE all exchanges ...dont just list XRP... give XRP its own markets too...ASAP
Yep, XRP is great for quickly moving coins from one exchange to the other. The fee is 0.02 XRP though. Which is of course much less than BTC. However, during the bear market past few weeks I did not dare doing that for fear the value might have dropped by the time it arrives because it still takes a few min for the exchange to start processing your withdrawal.
That problem is easily solved by market makers or automated escrow services.
