Re: Risks are still "stalking" Bitcoin users

The crowd is divided in response to the presence of bitcoin. Contra considers that virtual money investment is a fraudulent business that will not last long.

On the other hand, the pros judge, bitcoin is the result of technological advances that cannot be avoided.

Many countries are still unfamiliar with Bitcoin, not a few who refuse, like Malaysia and Indonesia. However, most developed countries accept digital currency as a means of payment.

One of them is Japan, legalizing bitcoin as a payment instrument. Some shops and shopping centers in the country have received payments using Bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin grows everyday through Shared knowledge
by

people need to want to open their minds first before anything you say or do can change their views of bitcoin and the technology. and if they already have an open mind then the "knowledge" is already out there to be found and learned, you just have to search for it. for example you can go to bitcoin wiki or other proper sources such as some of the books that are written like the Andreas Antonopoulos book called Mastering Bitcoin and learn more.
a forum is just a place to share your opinion on the matter, discuss things, or ask questions about things you didn't understand. it is not a place to learn the basics in my opinion.
right. and there are still many of my friends who have negative thoughts about bitcoin

The Chinese government plans to close Bitcoin miners as part of the last firm action against crypto money. On January 10, the Leading Group of Internet Financial Risks Remediation requested that the Chinese regional government make an "orderly way out" of this industry.
This news is important because Chinese miners account for around 60% of the total Bitcoin worldwide, making it the largest Bitcoin mining country in the world. The fact that most Bitcoin mining takes place in China can bring chaos to the Bitcoin community.

Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies?
by
L lawliet
on 12/10/2018, 12:50:22 UTC
Here are some strong reasons why the government must be willing to accept digital currency:

To increase net worth. Our cash will now gradually decrease its selling value if we keep it too long. Unlike the case if we hedge on Cryptocurrency, at least we can get the opportunity to increase the value of the money we save.
Technology. The technology behind Cryptocurrency is Blockchain, where no institution or country can control transactions and the value of the digital currency. Blockchain has a transaction log ledger that can be accessed by everyone without any cheating, because basically the Blockchain Ledger is managed by all users around the world.
Good track record. Since Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are released, investors are greatly benefited by price spikes from time to time. Therefore, investing in Cryptocurrency gives us the opportunity to increase our assets over time.

Re: What Makes Bitcoin So Special?

one feature of Bitcoin is its nature as a crypto currency, with an increasingly sophisticated Hash Rate (the level of complexity of cryptographic algorithms), public confidence is also increasingly guaranteed to avoid risks such as counterfeiting. This trust helps the development of a global community that strengthens its position as a currency that is not easily shaken by the conditions of society. Like gold, crypto currencies can reduce inflation.

You just can't rebrand Bitcoin because it would require consensus where majority is agree with your "rebranding" idea. Even if majority agree, that would make confusion, community-split and maybe chain-split just because your idea.
Yes, right. and of course there is a risk even though it's small

Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment?
by

nowadays there may still be many people think that property becomes the best investment, but some people are now switching to bitcoin. personally although I am involved in crypto currency I think investing in property will be safer with less risk than you invest in bitcoin
many of my friends suggest bitcoin, I'm also studying it more deeply
