Trusted Timestamping
There are many, many use cases, but imagine this — you’re a business who enters into an NDA with another business and begin exchanging confidential information. You find out the company shares some seriously secret stuff and you decide to sue them for damages. The evidence is simple, right? You have a timestamp on your laptop or in your email that shows when you received the signed NDA. Wrong. You actually have to have timestamped this file using the guidance outlined in RFC 3161 or there will be potential disputes with regards to the legitimacy of your evidence. There are certainly solutions out there that you could purchase but they all have one thing in common.
They are centralized.
We believe the world deserves the right to apply a trusted timestamp to a file using the blockchain without having to give up any information. The $MTGY Trusted Timestamping solution is simple. Click a button, upload your file, pay a few pennies worth of $MTGY, and generate a hash with a timestamp. Any time in the future you can reupload your file and guarantee it’s the same file by generating the same hash and therefore proving the timestamp is legitimate.

🚨Instructions on adding $MTGY to your MetaMask Wallet🚨
While these are specific instructions for MetaMask, most ERC20 and BEP20 wallets have a very similar flow to add custom tokens.
1. In your wallet, you'll need to make sure you’re in the BSC network (default is Ethereum Mainnet). If you don't have it setup, follow these instructions to add BSC to your MetaMask wallet: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/connecting-metamask-to-binance-smart-chain
2. In your wallet once BSC network is selected, click Add Token
3. Copy the MTGY contract address, 0x025c9f1146d4d94F8F369B9d98104300A3c8ca23, in the contract field

I agree with Adam here, becoming just another token will end any true value this coin might have. Auroracoin is still one of the most stable and authentic blockchains around. And although you might think otherwise, the wallets are still being maintained.
I agree with Mikjal that new enthusiasm and energy is badly needed in the team. I'm back after a long needed sabbatical from crypto and happy to work with anyone who wants to contribute to this magnificent coin.

The power of this coin lies within it's connection to the tribes and it's economy. I did some due diligence and found out that there are some good plans being worked out that might surprise you. This has been a coin with a clear prophecy and it still is. Forking it will just leave you with an empty shell, without any real purpose other than being yet another fork.
I'm getting involved as of now in any way I can to support the original team and start rebuilding the foundation it needs to enable the creation of exactly the structure it was intended to build in the first place.

Relax? That is the problem. The devs have not significantly updated or developed the code for years. Great that you done due diligence but why are plans not being announced on social media? Doesn't the team want people to know things are being done rather than some vague promise? It's almost like the team doesn't want to grow the community beyond a small group.
This move to wanting to fork isn't impatience, I think it's desperation of some holders who want to see something being done
I get your point and to a certain point even agree it's sometimes better to fork a coin if development is absent. In this case however, the developers are still there and still motivated to put in the effort. What lacks the most is contributors with skills. The original dev's don't have the skills needed to update the code. They do however have the connections needed to make the coin work in the way it's intended, being a new decentralized currency for the Lakota tribes.
Forking the coin, just to become more modern so investors can speculate won't add any true value. It would just create an empty shell.
I have offered my resources (both financially and knowledge wise) to support this project. If you can contribute, please joint that effort!

Because it was not foundation holdings! They have burnt unclaimed public air-drop, what has been promised before.
That is different. Baldur burnt the unclaimed coins but also transferred 1,000,000 coins to the foundation for development of Auroracoin.
Well, I also was a bit surprised by the decision of the Aurarad foundation to sell off 80% of the M1 fund. But I also remember the true nature of Balduro's vision, being adoption of crypto in Iceland. He developed Auroracoin for that purpose, but not as a single means. He initially transferred the M1 fund to an Icelandic trustee with a final request to use it to further promote crypto in Iceland, if possible with Auroacoin, but also in different ways.
The move was bold, I agree, but I stand behind it 100%, because it's the right move.
I'm looking forward to renewed development of Auroracoin in the future, especially now that we finally have a solid ground (IBF) to build on (with).

Why the price of AUR is still so low? Very disappointing...
Low? We're still up in both BTC and fiat price on any time scale over 1 month. We also didn't drop when bitcoin (and virtually every other alt) crashed in the past month. PnD isn't what we're after, just steady economic build up on long term scale.
With Circulating Supply only 8,658,139 AUR coins 2$ per coin is too low...
I agree it's ridiculously low, but this is better than the extreme pump we had at the beginning in 2014. Remember how much people have been crying about that?
Auroracoin has proven to be one of the most stable coins out there, both prize wise and blockchain wise.
What happened to this project? It looks like dev has not been active for a long time. Look at the price today on coinmarketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/auroracoin/) its price is very cheap just only $1,3 right now.
Your post is right between 2 (out of 7) very active dev's sir. True, we haven't been very vocal in the media lately, but that doesn't mean good quality development hasn't taken place. Hodl on I would say ;-)
