Re: How to recognize scam
by

In recognizing if it is scam, asks some legal document to the group of people where they offer their product.
Don't invest to the company where the Founder or the creator of that group is hiding their real image or personality because absolutely they are the scammers.

I am not sure about this because as far I can see, many ICO give a real picture or maybe I cannot detect fake image for every people in the project. but this could be another option to detect the ICO is real or not and I think we can ask them about their project and what their vision with their project. I think if they are a good team, they will give information related to the project so people can know that there is a legit project and people could feel safe to join with them.

I gree with you because you always should check everything out and bee careful

It is a good topic, but you need to be careful thought

Just recently I thought about it. I saw the project at first sight is not bad, but the team is almost all without work experience. Some school children, you know. They had advisers about whom I had never heard, and Google did not show much. No matter how interesting the idea was, I will not invest my money in people without experience.

True. There has to be background

thank you for the tread. I'm quite new here and I could not understand why there are advisors for the projects

Re: Greed or banning for reason!?! ICOs, AIRDROPs, BountyPrograms.

I participated in many many airdrops and some bounty progs. It was way better at the beginig. Now many airdrops are scammers so it is not strange that people now are afraid of participating in them. Btw, if do a small research on the ICOs, it is pretty obvious whether they are con artists or advertize their product.

1.The coin developers distribute it before going on the market for free for a reason , I guess this is for the coin to be sold and bought, then it will be known by people and it will be heard - this is a form of advertisement!
2.Scammers steal information.
3.To enhance exchanges on the market.

The whole idea of ICOs and Cryptos is FREEDOM! And know you are asking about regulations? You are like those people who never can choose their side. If it will be regulated, what is the difference between ICO and IPO then? I know that there are many scammers but it did not prevent me from doing research on your KickCity and participating in their Airdrop. No regulations!

Re: AIRDROP HUNTERS!
by
Lama_in_da_house

Several times I heard about airdrop hunters. They create many accounts from different IPs and participate in airdrops of different ICOs. But as soon as exchange starts, they sell all those tokens/coins. Did i understand correctly?

What is interesting how they affect ICOs value on the market?

For example, I am participating in KickCity’s airdrop today because I want to invest in this company. But I don’t think that all participants are eager to do the same. How it may affect the company’s future?

Btw, do somebody know about avaliable now Airdrops?

when exchange start coins price is high and price dump every time so the early they sell the better. ICOs airdrop just a small portion of their coins and you will get only a small amount but sometimes the coins price is high so they will gain big. multiple accounts are ban but it will be hard  pinpointing them one by one as participants in airdrop would reach 1000+~. ICOs do airdrop to promote their coin and to attract more investor.
Well, I don't agree. Sometimes it is better to hold and then sell those coins/tokens by higher price. At the begining ICO is not stable at all and many speculators use it. So it is different from company to company.
Problem, thar you didn't mention is that many Airdrop participantes are banned.+ many airdrops used by scammers to steal private information.

Re: Bitcoin and Russia
by
Lama_in_da_house

Hi,

What you descried here is quite logical in fact. The bitcoin community is large in Russia... and supposedly no member of the government or director of any powerful institution is part of it. So it is a "soft" war beteween the people, simple individuals, and the haves.

I guess that one day, countries will no longer be able to ignore bitcoin. That is why many governments are trying to design legislation about crypto. However, for them, the bitcoin (and the other alt coins) is a threat. It cannot be manipulated at will, the blockchain cannot be corrupted. I guess this is quite hard to handle for them, because they often use those tools.

Consequently: no, I don't think any government is ready to officially legalize bitcoin. But if the community grows enough and the use of bitcoin get spread... Maybe we stand a chance! Wink
I believe that BIT is not supposed to be legalized in Russia in nearest future, moreover I don think that Russian goverment support the idea of having any crypto currencies (maybe apparto from crypto rub Smiley ). But mining crypto society and is very developed. Big bisnesess are becoming engaged in blockchain and mining.Sberbank and AlfaBank had transactions via their blockchain protocols, it means a lot. Many big and high-potential ICOs are held in Russia as well. Therefore, many interesting ICOs such as KickCity or others emerge in Russia.

What is KickCity?
