Today won't have a heavy crash because the consequences of the current split are negligible. The market will climb back up, all the up to mid october. That's when fear of the real crash will kick in, because that's when the bitcoin split will result in heavier debate and FUD surrounding the shortterm consequences. Make sure to have some money aside to invest because we'll see some great deals, I can image virtually every coin including BTC plummeting to 30-40% of its current value

I think that is a good advice. I have a few bitcoins prepared to buy some BCC or other altcoins.

Re: Bitcoin transactions taking 4+ days

I've had transactions taken 24 hours + but not up to two days so 4+ days looks absurd. I hope you sent it with the right fees because there's a way to estimate the required fees per transaction that will get it confirmed within the next block and I'd suggest that to you.

The right fee is only good for the moment you send the coin. If there are more transactions, it is not enough.

As long as your coins are in your own wallet (not an exchange) and you don't touch them nothing bad can happen.

Ultimately, if both chains continue to exist (a big if), you will have the same amount of both new types of coin. When it comes to spending either of those coins you'll have to think about it, see which chain your wallet software works with.

If anyone tells you one coin will be worth more than other, they are guessing. We don't know for sure what will happen. The risk-averse thing to do is to hold fast and see what happens.

Maybe gamblers will sell one of their coins to gain more of the other, but they can easily get burned if things don't turn out how they expect.

That is a good strategy. but if the price of both coins drop due to the fear, then you will lose a lot.

Re: Monero 2017 !!!

It is funny Monero set its eye on Bitcoin, when there are tokens like Zcash at its tail. What Zcash team needs to do is to look for a Dark market adoption, all the noise about Monero will die down.

You don't really know what you are talking about, right?  Grin

Zcash confidential transactions are not enforced. Nobody is using them. Zcash has not a trustless setup and that is a bad crypto joke.

Monero with RingCT activated does what Zcash can do. Game over.
Zcash is just not necessary in the crypto spehere if Monero does the job and majority of the dark markets do accept Monero already and Zcash have to find a way or create a market to make use of the coin rather than the hype .

ZCash can offer both t and z address. So it has some advantages.

If bitcoin crashes so will monero. the only way for monero to go higher is for bitcoin to break 1500+

I think it will do it.

I think both coins will do well next year.

Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ?

You should believed in bitcoin if you have investment and i think you are here because you believed that you can earn lot of money in terms of bitcoin because people who does not know about bitcoin is not a believer.
Even those people who do not believe in bitcoin because they are not aware of it. They will definately believe in it from the moment you introduce and explain to them what bitcoin is all about and how it helps lives. More particularly, the investment benefits of bitcoin will make anyone attracted toward bitcoin ecosystem for sure.
I’m not sure about that, I have tried to convince people to use bitcoin, all of them very smart people, and I have been unable to do so, so you need also an open mind in order to make an effort to understand bitcoin.

The biitcoin is not very trustible at the moment. It will take some time for the main stream to accept it.

Yes you should believe in the bitcoin because it has a great fiuture and it will grow a lot more so its just a matter of time before the bitcoin will become very popular!

This why many people are starting to use bitcoin for we believe that we are going to have a great future with bitcoin. And for those unemployed people instead of looking a real job. They are just working with bitcoins by different ways like trading, gambling and as well as selling their services to the people who needs it.

If Im unemployed and still have strength to work on real lije job, I will not rely on bitcoin. We should take advantage of bitcoin if we really believe on the future of it. So what shall we do? Save most and spend less of bitcoin. If we only have bitcoin earnings, it will be primarily used for daily spendings that meant for fiat earnings.

If those unemployed really can't find a real life job in most of the cases like students, disable one etc then that it's acceptable.
I think whoever you if you love and you rely on the bitcoin bitcoin or you want to benefit from further bitcoin I hope you can believe in bitcoin,
and you can also invite others to believe, then you can continue to benefit from bitcoin

yes, because bitcoin is alternative payment for the future .believe it  Grin  Shocked

Not just in future but that is already happening and for the early people who are in bitcoin already did say that too and I think that their prediction is already happening.

So there is nothing to lose if we are going to believe in bitcoin in terms for being another type of currency here in this world.

Because a lot of benefits are going to make it happen.

There is no need to belive in the bitcoin itself. We can just treat it as a currency and use it a lot. Its price will rise.

Well I don't think your coin is not going to be stolen easily unless you are going to be careful with it. Many people are seeing the good security with bitcoin. That is why they are believing bitcoin, and if you are going to say an example just like what happened to bitfinex, well I think there are some back job that happened, I think.

Technically, the bitcoin is very safe. Hackers will not be able to break the bitcoin network or the technology.

Of course, I think you should believe in btc. It serves you better, transactions are well secured and it aims to give you potential for gains.

Yeah if we aren't going to believe bitcoin then we are not going to be here. That is why we should keep on believing bitcoins as it is giving us
convenience with the transaction that is giving to us. And a lot of opportunities it gives for all of us just like without doing anything by just holding it if you already have, you have the potential to earn.
thats true everyone should believe in bitcoins right now in my opinion, it is really great that the price of the bitcoin is going to go ups

It depends on the perforamce of the bitcoin development. If it is done properly, I will trust and invest more into bitcoin.

i have no plans on selling any of my bitcoins, but it is possible that if the price goes above $1000-$1100 i would sells some small amounts maybe even only 1 bitcoin just to take the money and celebrate with it, but that would be all i am willing to sell at this low prices.
i will wait for much bigger $4000-$5000 prices to sell.

Yeah, if you want to make huge profits then you need to hold bitcoin for long term and at that time your patience level will be tasted, as majority of people lack patience.
Yes, more patience can make you more richer for sure as it is all about bitcoin and the price can go any peak but as we know the chinese market is getting bigger soon, and if they will be using bitcoins then the price will get even into millions for sure.

Exactly and everyone wants to see higher price of bitcoin in future and that is the reason majority of people believes in holding their coins for a long term and that is the right thing to do.

and to do that you must have a lot of money and also good patience. because bitcoin prices volatile so anything can happen in the future, if it falls you will be more long to wait. I have preferred to make a profit productive than hold for the long term.

As long as the bitcoin gets used more and the price rises in long term, we will invest in it. I do not trade.

It depends on the time and price. I reckon the price will double every year for the next 10 year. If the price is much higher than that level, I will sell.

Re: should i save btc for future?
by

on 28/05/2016, 17:17:24 UTC
I buy the bitcoin when the price is low. When the price is high, I will use bitcoin to buy some useful things.
yes it was nice, and you'd better save bitcoin that you had in a long time or use for something to attach numbers such as trading or investment, it may be better than you save, because it can increase the number of bitcoin you have, and believe me that bitcoin prices in the future will be greater
Saving will be indeed one of the best thing that you can do and that is because you also see now that the price is rising slowly so that is really nice for the people with already Bitcoin so that is nice.
But the bad thing of the price rise is that it can takes a long time until the value will be higher and that is bad.

Price will rise in future for sure, the only thing is we need to wait for the right time to sell, as price is rising now and that is very good sign for all bitcoin users.

I do not sell the bitcoins. I just use it. I will use it more when the price is high. I will buy when the price is low.

It would be not that bad if you are believing in Bitcoins and that is because there are now a lot of people that is going to have some Bitcoin and you also can see that it is becoming more popular.
But of course it is hard to know what the value will be and that is also the only problem that we have.
Its true! No one can determine the value in the future that is why by investing in bitcoins is very risky and we know for the fact the huge risk means huge reward, and as a believer we should be rewarded in the future if bitcoins will have a good success.

That is right. Investing in the bitcoin was very risky in 2010. The price was below $1. But the price now is much higher.

It seems the public is catching on that eth is a pump n dump.

The Etheruem price is still more than 50% of its peak price. So I think it is not a dump yet. Otherwise, the price will be 10%.

Can believe in bitcoin for it really has a chance to be a number one currency being used in the near future. Fact, that it is decentralized and no governing body has controlled of it.

believe in bitcoin because i saw bitcoin price is yearly increased.. and i think it will increase more in the future .

I think the bitcoin price increase every year apart from 2014. That is mainly due to the big bubble in 2013.
