I see you have a good goal as a new user on the forum "to be a good user". If indeed you really want to be a good user, then you should start from now or not at all. When you want to learn something, you must have an attitude of consistency so that you will achieve maximum results.

Forum will not force you to become a good member because you have the right to determine and choose your own path. You dont need to force yourself to be a good user quickly, because you have to go through many stages and there are many thing you need to know and all of that has to be done in stages.
