Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin.

Question that I am hoping someone can help me with - I configured MultiPoolMiner with only MPH, and altered the Algorithm list to contain only MPH compatible algorithms. Nonetheless, several times per day it seems to switch over to mining on zpool, no matter what I do to the configuration.

Is this somehow the way that the devfee is being handled for MPM? The individual miners with devfees sometimes switch, but they're labelled with "devfee" so at least I know what is happening. With the zpool switches, I have no idea why it's happening. I don't always catch it right away so I'm unable to tell if it does it for the 10 minutes I've configured, or just "as long as it feels like it."

I'm happy to let it do some time for the dev, just want to be sure that's what's happening - like I said, I see it more than once per day, and I haven't pinned down the amount of time, so it feels like something it shouldn't be doing.

Please can you upload the log(s) on GitHub?

Sure thing, next time I catch it I'll upload the log. [NM, found a log from earlier today with a few connections].

When PIRL starts up on my Nvidia card (GTX 770) it reports hashrate several times per second, but about 1 per second is "0.00".

This seems like a ton of hashrate updates to be sending to the live stats page, and the occasional "0" makes the data go wonky.

Totally minor thing, but maybe something to look into when you have the time.

Hi Guys! Like the project, but I've got a bit of an odd issue I'm hoping you can help with.
On my multi-card rig, some sort of error occurred during benchmarking. This has resulted in the UI perpetually showing "Benchmarking - Target: (value)/day (ETN+PIRL)" despite the fact that it's not benchmarking anything. Instead, it completely benchmarked the one Nvidia card, but all 4 AMD cards have been on ZEN and ZEN only since I started. Checking the Benchmark history, it just didn't even try to bench anything else for the AMD cards.
Interestingly, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, thinking this would force it to re-benchmark everything, but it seems that once again the AMD cards are straight to mining zen while the Nvidia goes through a series of benchmarks.
Am I nuts? On my other rig, a single AMD card, it benchmarked as expected and has switched here and there as profits moved around.
Is there any way to ensure I have truly knocked out all previous benchmarks and really start from a clean slate on the multi-card rig?
Welcome aboard!
Here is a quick explanation about benchmarking on WinMiner -
(1) Benchmarking - Target - This metric shows up before benchmarking takes place, and it is based on crowd wisdom logic - it analyzes the performance of very similar hardware by other users on WinMiner and gives out an expected target metric. The idea is that users will have an estimate of what realistically they can expect before the full cycle of benchmarking is completed.
(2) Benchmark modes -
    (a) Express (default) - in this mode the benchmarking will commence with the combination most likely to provide the best performance for the specific hardware, and then once in a while attempt a different combination to make sure the best combination is indeed the one being mined. This mode gets a user up and running with max performance asap.
    (b) Regular Benchmark - in this mode all combinations will be tried out, one by one until the most profitable combination is chosen
In addition, once every 24 hours hardware will be examined per each algo for hash poer performance.

Hope this clarifies :-)

Thanks! I actually knew these things, but it's always good to refresh.

What I'm saying is that I set it for "Regular" benchmark and it did not try all combinations. It only tried one, and stopped trying any further. Likewise, the "Benchmarking" message has been stuck on the UI, regardless of whether or not the app was actually benchmarking anything.

I've seen the "expected" process on my other machine, so I know what it should look like. Ran them all, message went away, began mining as expected, switching as expected. All is well on that machine.

Now, I didn't know that it would re-check every 24 hours, so I guess I can just let it sit and when jobs return see if it actually does so. Still, I wouldn't be mad at a method to ensure I've cleared it of all benchmarks and try to start from scratch, if it's at all possible. If not, I can afford to wait and see.

Good luck with your growing pains! I know how it goes, I'm sure you'll get it all sorted out soon.

Edit: I'll be damned if I didn't kill both instances this morning, re-launch, and it went and benchmarked everything. Now it's doing precisely what I'd expect. Chalk it up to the issues of rapid expansion or just weird luck, but it's working like a charm now.

The top two items are subject to serious and obvious vote manipulation which will likely result in disqualification. Vote with your gut, we'll sort out the points end of day.
So non-serious and non-obvious manipulations are ok... khm.
How about making a second round in this thread?

"are okay" - things I never said, for $1000, Alex. Turns out most people are NOT lying cheats, and most people ARE voting normally. The only fraud present is obvious. No amount of cheating is acceptable, or being overlooked.

If the community really feels the need to, we can take a top-5 Vote in a thread when voting is complete. You are the only person with such serious concerns so far.

One problem with this, however, is that not all community members are part of this Forum. Excluding them is a tough sell. The poll is inclusive for all CureCoin community.

so what is the correct symbol to use

A helix ...
So we have the most amount of votes for a logo with the wrong symbol... They should have been removed from the voting list.
This voting is useless. One can vote any logo into the first place via using proxies/anonymizers.
With ~100 total votes "Silver Caduceus" had 30%, now - 46%. So almost all of the newest votes are for this design.
It's a shame that LasersHurt doesn't want to see the obvious thing.

No ledger, no developer information (a post in the middle of a long thread kinda doesnt do it), no Mac wallet, no replies to direct questions in the thread, zero marketing etc.

The ledger is available on the Website, as is a Mac Wallet. You've already gotten a direct reply, so I'll assume some of your concerns are at least slightly assuaged.

(And stop telling others to cheat, dude. What do you think this is?)
I started talking about cheating when I saw it. You basicly told me that you're fine with it, so I don't see what's your point.

You BELIEVED there was cheating, and you responded BY cheating.

If the rest of the community agrees with you, I'm sure we could try to create a new poll that requires registration. Of course, since someone could make fraudulent registrations, one would assume that THAT wouldn't count either.

If you have a specific type of security for a poll in mind, please do share. Perhaps the community will agree that we should start over.

If you have similar childish security measures within the rest of your team/development, it'd make me cry.

I feel the need to remind you that I am the webmaster of CureCoin.net, not a developer of CureCoin. The coin's security is not in my hands, nor should it be. I'm just hosting the poll for a community's Logo design contest, something created, implemented, and funded by the community. It's great that you had feedback on the poll; less great that you assumed there was cheating, so instead cheated yourself to "make a point" before I had ever seen the first message. If you have constructive advice on the poll, we're all ears.

Thanks for "proving your point" by knowingly exploiting the system and skewing the results. That's very helpful. You've done a good thing.

/s

Edit: I am able to see a full log of votes, by the way. Fraudulent votes are fairly easy to spot, and can be dealt with.
Yes, my fraudulent votes are easy to spot - they are within 10 minute window.
Are you sure you can remove all all other fraudulent votes?
Moreover, how you determine what is a valid vote? I'm with 2 ISPs + 2 cellular operators. My rigs are in two different places: 2 ISPs + 2 cellular ops.
It totals to 8 different IPs. Which of them would be fraudulent?

Edit: You removed all the votes for "DNA Man", except 2 (which are also mine, i.e. fraudulent)
Votes for "mmihail - Silver Caduceus" are pretty much all fraudulent, but you're unable to see it.

Well, I hope that your team's attitude regarding "exploits" differs from yours. Otherwise we have a huge problem here.

There were votes added later for DNA man, which I left. You have no way of knowing if you were the only voter. You only assume that all votes for mmihail - Silver Caduceus are all fraudulent, for some reason, but again you have no access to the data. I have access to the direct information. I'll do my best to spot fraudulent votes and keep good ones.

Remember that this is a community poll for a logo, not a national vote. The security preparations are minimal, but not nonexistent. If there is sufficient fraud because people can't restrain themselves, either to cheat OR "prove a point," I'm sure we can scrap the poll entirely, put on crowns and robes of the finest kind, and decree a winner from upon a golden throne which we will rent for the purpose.

I'd rather not though. Everyone act like adults with consciences and I'm sure we can get through the next few days fine.

(And stop telling others to cheat, dude. What do you think this is?)

It's time to Vote for the New Logo. Cast your vote now!

See360 - Rx in the lead... most horrible logo IMO. Must be the haters voting for that and want to see curecoin gone.

That rx styling is trademarked by rehab

It's worth noting that whatever wins, we'll do some due-diligence to make sure there are no issues with copyright/trademark/etc. The user-selected winner isn't necessarily guaranteed if there's a problem with using it.

Not super likely, but worth noting.
Anonymous voting was a bad idea.
mmihail - "Silver Caduceus" design had ~15% an hour ago. Right now it has 33%.
How about re-voting on another platform. e.g. right here in the thread?

FWIW, I voted for "See360 - Rx".

EDIT:
Spent 10 minutes to prove my point and voted the ugliest design (DNA Man) into into first place.

When my XC reaches 0.05 I will already have $400k so I might be willing to invest 10% of my holdings back into Curecoin at that point, at this rate im sure the price will still be similar by then.. in  6 months time.

So in 3 weeks you've divined the next 6 months of CureCoin's existence? Neat trick.

The Manual Payout does not seem to work as expected. Set the Automatic Payout to 1 and you will get the coins during the daily payout.
