Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future?
by
Layla Mckenzie

As it seems yes, but we are still far away until this comes true. It's not easy to ''make'' all people to use bitcoins. And it will be very difficult to make it a legal currency everywhere in this planet.

It's ok, don't worry. I had the same ''problem'' 2 years ago. It's had to forget her and take her out of your mind, but you have to thing, what if someone has a crush with your gf? You have to go out meet new people, new girls, do things that you like. I did the same, sometimes I thing about her, but I know that she is with someone she wants, and that's enough for me.

I have at least my half money in BTC and the rest of them in cash. And if something will happen, I will have money to survive cash or BTC Wink It's a good way to be sure that you'll have money no matter what.

Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin?

That you can't cancel a transaction you have made. I have lost money bcs of that, and that was the day that I realize that btc has disadvantages. I know that I had to be very careful, but we are humans and we do mistakes bcs we are tired etc. But foe me that's the biggest disadvantages of bitcoin.

When you learn something, you have to learn it for good. That was the point for me, for that he said. Everyone can try to use btc, but I don't know if that will be good for the rest of us. What am trying to say is that big fishes eat the smaller ones, so new users just be careful and don't do stupid things with btc.

I would ask a friend to borrow me some money, and then I would trade them, make the money I want and then give the money back to my friend Wink

I guess it's a good thing to know that a billionaire trust his money to btc, and invest on it. It makes feel more sure about it, and use it even more Smiley

Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?
by
Layla Mckenzie

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Like any currency Bitcoin itself has a variety of users, from Investors to Drug dealers (I'm not cheering for them) and that's what makes it a usable currency valued at 900$, it's not selective Smiley

It really all depends on how start up companies utilize their capital to attract more people to the bitcoin environment.

I think you refer to the "Physical Bitcoins". I don't know the particular ones
but some physical coins carry additional value like gold or silver which adds
up to the bitcoins storred inside such coins. Hope this answers your question.

I don't think the whole idea about chips under your skin is a good thing.. I mean c'mon you could use a Trezor or even invent a better hardware wallet for all people care, but you know if we start messing with our bodies I think we'll see some terrible mistakes at the near future (transhumanism).

Re: Skills vs Luck *poll*

In my humble opinion what really matters is skill. Since you can trade on the spread I don't see why even an amateur would loose in the long run. Just think about it, the only people that ever "lost" with Bitcoin are those who bought over 1100$, the rest of us had more than one chances to sell and profit. Now if you combine this with some propper skill there you have it, a profitable recipe.

Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet?
by

Bitcoin wallets can be 10 times more safe than Bank accounts. Goverments are known to confiscate money if you don't pay your taxes and banks are also known for bankruptcy in which case you say bye bye to your money. On the other hand you can have a hardware wallet and keep your coins in the safest place Wink
