Basically Trivago is a global hotel search platform. Trivago does not book a hotel directly. They redirect the page to OTAs. Trivago also claims to help users get the best rates by comparing a million hotels across over 250 booking sites. However, users can’t book via Trivago; they can only choose the hotel, after which they’re redirected to traditional online travel agencies (such as Priceline, Ctrip and Expedia).

Actually, These sites like Hotels.com and others are OTAs. Hotels totally dependent on these third parties now a days. There is a huge “direct booking” movement in the hotel industry centered around just this issue. In 1996 when Expedia was founded, these fees were ~5% which is very normal. Today those fees can be as high as 25% for independent hotels which is astonishing and kills profitability for these businesses.
So for example,  if a hotel sells a room for $200 and it costs $90 to clean/manage. They make $110 gross profit (before general expenses) on that room. If Hotels.com gets 20% of that they take $40 so the profit drops to $70. In other words that hotel just lost 36% of the profit on that room. That’s why now a days people are really recommending a new platform GOeureka. By using this platform one can book easily a hotel room in his desired hotel. Most importantly this site gives customers a direct access to hotels without charging a bit of extra cost.

Hi every one, After visiting their white paper I can say they have lots of attractive features like:- Guaranteed Transparency, Re-Booking Functionality, Cryptocurrency Payment Handling, Direct Guest Connection, Universal GO App, The GO Card, Next-gen Loyalty Program, Targeted Marketing and Media and Community Driven Development etc.
So after all we can assume that GOeureka is going to change the Hotel booking Industry. But the terms written above are little bit difficult to understand. Like if I say that How can be defined the term Guaranteed Transparency? I mean how is this guaranteed.
Well I think I can explain it, One of the cornerstones of block-chain technology is accountability, which GO utilizes to ensure transparency across the GO platform. By discarding traditional pay-to-play arrangements, GO pledges to remain unbiased and not charge commissions for paid search placements or exclusive promotions. While going through the website of GOeureka, I got to know more about their future plans like listing on exchanges, Airline Bookings and even providing packages covering everything from your stay to your travel. But what really concerns me is will they be able to make it that too in such short span of time?

Goeureka is bringing a whole new level of competition for online travel agencies. Yes, i completely agree with you on this and as we see Goeureka is also providing a Re-booking future will be setting a new benchmark for the Online Travel Agencies. I'm completely amazed with this new feature and how much time the OTA's has spent in this industry but couldn't introduce anything like this.
I would like to say that this is the time when we have to say goodbye to OTA's as they are always manipulating things as per my experience. Because when we book rooms from the OTA's then their is a third party interference which keeps me letting down every time when i booked from them. what i personally feel that there should be a direct communication between hotels and customers so that there is clarity in everything.
Goeureka will be making a huge impact and it will completely change the dealings of online travel agencies. Boutique hotels have to increase their charges for the room or they are forced to reduce their profit margins to survive in an OTA-controlled environment. Partner hotels have signed agreements with OTA's which ensure that rates offered on these sites match to those listed on the hotel-owned website.

OTAs have more influence on hotel industry they have made such a deep impact that now both hotels are facing the consequences of this in the form by paying higher prices and on the other side hotels are paying higher commissions so who is getting benefit only OTAs
