What the title says. This thread is an auction for 10 chips from Zefir's 5th group buy order. Bidding starts at .8 BTC for the lot, shipping cost is the buyer's responsibility. I will forego ownership of the chips, by sending zefir a signed message from the address that purchased the chips. We can use an escrow of your choice (i would prefer JohnK) or other method we can agree upon. I will arrange everything with zefir within 72 hours of auction's end, on Monday August 19 at 12:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time.

Fuck my life... I had a whole post typed up and my phone died. Anyways, I will simply post my correspondence with this guy. You be the judge. In short, he offered no proof of legitimacy (in fact he got offended by my asking) and eventually just reduced himself to insulting me. Start from the bottom- the top is the most recent email.

Linvingston,

you are critic me as my english is not good and my business as scam, so i advise you invest in US based company and not in mine, i search investor yes but i not will kiss this pepole ass, so if you searching one of this people this is the wrong place. I can talk with you in german or in french if you better understand this, but will helps nothing, befor i sell you just one share i prefer to stay without investor.

You want a full report of my backgound and not give anything else just your name! Are you a bank? or the FBI? go to hell sorry you can check the company but this was not your idea you want only know things what i not tell people i don't know in a email without NDA.

If you talk about scam you must have bad experience in your life, that is sad for you but not for me.

If you want you can come to french côte d'azur and visit me than i tell you my whole history.

Or invest in any other business, with businessplans and owner reports front up, thats what people like you need, big bluffs and zero competence zero ideas and copies of all. Invest there!

Markus

and i know you understand very well my words!

No, I don't think you aren't competent. However, I KNOW that you are not professional- any professional company would not hesitate a second to send out all of their credentials and any sort of information that would make them worthy of a 10,000 investment. You really can't expect people to just blindly hand you ten THOUSAND euros. The way that you are so hesitant to give out information about your company (notice- your COMPANY, not "personal information") really makes me think this is just a huge scam. If you want someone to hand you money, then you need to show them (me) something that makes you qualified to manage that money, and something that shows that you will be able to make some money with whatever I give you, thus delivering a return.

The way you have handled this interaction has lost you at least ONE potential investor, likely more after I discuss the general unprofessionalism you have displayed with my associates. Some suggestions- if you plan on dealing with English speaking people, and are trying to gather investments from English speaking people, then hire someone that actually speaks English to deal with them. The word that you were trying to say in your email was "field", not "filed". Also, your English is just very confusing, and I struggle to understand exactly what you are saying. Second- learn to discern between "personal information" and "information surrounding your company". People want to invest in a company, not a person. Also, do not hesitate to provide information about your company, or the people working for your company and their background at least in a professional sense- I don't care what your address is but I DO want to know where you have worked in the past, what you have accomplished in your career, what makes you QUALIFIED to handle 200,000 euros in investments. You HAVE to do this, ESPECIALLY if you are going to make claims. If you cannot back up your claims, then you are full of shit, and are no better than a con artist.

Honestly, this entire thing seems like a very poorly executed scam to me. Until you are willing to provide some information surrounding this company that hat supposedly been around since 2010, and offer me some proof as to how you have been working in this field for at least a "decade", there is no way you are going to get a cent from me. Does the bitcoin card even exist? If I asked for a card, would you even be able to send me one? I have offered you some advice- you can either use it and potentially grow or you can continue to act confused/offended as to why I want information about the company you want me to invest in and continue to offer me statements that have no proof behind them.

Hello,

Do you think we are not competent in this field? I promise you more than other.

You can't exactly put statements like this:
"The Bitcoin Company ( Deal du Jour SARL ) is a private limited liability company created in 2010 on French Côte d'Azur - Reg. Nr. 531 563 682
Our Team is working over the past decade in the field of PrePaid Credit Cards, Payment Processing, Virtual Currencys and the Yellow Pages Industry and are experts in this field. "

In an email and then not offer any evidence to back up that claim, and then seriously expect someone to invest ten thousand euros in your company. I am simply asking for some sort of evidence to back up your claim that your company, or the people involved with your company, has been involved in this field for as long as you say.

Sorry i am of course not against tell you my business history, but this is a other case. If you want serious invest, send us a offer of how much shares you want buy, and a short description of you or your company. You will understand that i not send any personal infos to people i don't know.

Seriously? Italian? You've got to be fucking kidding. Peroni... Albergati... Martinelli.. Bressan..Da Vinci.. Medici... Corleone.. that is what an Italian name sounds like

The Pentagon points towards Mecca
by

on 24/05/2013, 03:09:32 UTC
If you make a line through the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, The Pentagon, that runs from the middle of it's westernmost side and extends directly eastward through the easternmost point, it looks like it will run through Mecca. I cannot see any other significant cities/places that it will extend through.I actually initially looked into this because I suspected Jerusalem, more specifically the temple of Solomon's remaining wall (or really, it's cornerstone lol)

If you dont know why east is important or a cornerstone, then you probably wont get much out of this thread. Thoughts? I am interested to see where the line pointing from it's northwestern point to the eastern one.

I just updated to v8 and the new version of the client is now downloading EVERY SINGLE block.... There's no way this is right. Can I move a file from the old folder to the new one? Or worst case scenario, will someone send me a link to somewhere that I can download the clock chain and explain how to do that? Or maybe a link to a place that I could even get it on DVD

Hey guys, I am looking to get into short selling bitcoins. I figure I can make money on top of simply exchanging bitcoins (going long). I'm looking for some opinions from people that short sell bitcoins- what is the best place to do this?? I currently trade on btc-e. I prefer more volatile markets- more opportunities to earn (every "spike" is a profit if you buy and sell at each high and low). I've looked at campbx

Re: Automated posting

To me, the shallowness of the slope on the "bid" side tells me that the market is headed downward soon. As bitcoins are bought and sold regularly, the fact that the "ask" side is so much higher than the "bid" side means that it is going to take more trading to move is up. The gap will always close, and more than likely both sides will move equally, basically, so the price will move down... Is my thinking generally correct?

TL;DR- Am I correct in thinking that if the slope of the ask side is > bid side then the market is generally headed downward and vice versa?

Considering they have a working chip and the amount of orders they have been bringing in before they even had a working product, they would have no problem finding additional VC funding at this point. A start up project being literally sold out before you even have a prototype is almost unheard of.

Had the chip on the other hand been a bust and needed a complete redesign then this discussion would have been a lot more interesting. The only thing atm that could be a bit worrisome is the actual cost of making each pre-order unit, this is more about how fast they can make back the initial RnD costs though.

Uhhhhh... Is this not what happened? They have 5000 chips that are not at power spec, and have to wait to get more from the foundry. I'm pretty sure they're switching from 65n to 110..

Re: I also ordered in August

My order was paid partly by Paypal balance and partly by debit card. The limit for debit card charge is 120 days and I ordered in August so that's past. Paypal haven't asked me anything as yet; I don't know how to contact them if it's beyond the 45 days.

So I have asked for a refund, given them 14 days and said if no response will use the UK small claims court (not sure if this is really possible but I'll look into it later).

good for you. seriously. Someone's gotta stand up to these douchebags, they have no respect for their customers. I would LOVE to see how quickly Zerlan loses thst cocky fucking attitude in front of a judge
