Any news on beancash lately?

Where can you buy/sell beancash now?

There's a market at https://freixlite.com/market/BITB/LTC you can try.

This is one of the very most promising projects out there. I've followed it for long time. With the latest wallet is there a sync problem? I have deleted everything and tried from the start but after hours still no connection.

Does anyone have some nodes I can try to add? Or any other suggestions?

I followed the instructions on updating that I found here: https://gist.github.com/HanniAbu/0c6788ff393cbf30d5c4272a5a0a818b

It seems to be working and I have five peers connected so far.  My old wallet balance is there too.

The peers are:
54.158.97.146:41412
45.27.73.200:41412
46.59.40.91:41412

Any one any ideas?
There is no infor in and debug.log or db.log

Just a guess but it might not work on a 32 bit system.  I'm running on Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit system without issues with HoboNickels version v2.0.1.0-g-V2.0.  I hope that helps.

Just an idea, but a suggestion was made to reward biking/exercise in Greencoin with a proof-of-post in Steemit to show the activity.  Perhaps similar to how the Actifit token is awarded.  https://steemit.com/actifit/@kewpiedoll/re-lightsplasher-actifit-lightsplasher-20190318t143315271z

One issue is how to create buy support on GRE if large amounts of rewards are dispersed.  One ideas is to reward activities based on the amount of GRE that an account already holds, that way if people are all sell and no hold they won't get as big of a payment for their activities.  I would suggest a maximum amount per GRE address, per Steemit post, per day, taken out of the public block reward that is currently not being used.  (and burning the rest of the reward pool per day if the coins are not dispersed) Any other ideas?

Idea / Question

How about a HBN bounty for everyone who opens a ticket on Cryptopia requesting they release the coin from Maintenance?

Just received a notice about delisting on topia
GG

I think it would be worth trying to get added at https://openledger.io/  or maybe https://www.stellarx.com/ they don't have any trading fees.  I haven't tried stellerx but it seems interesting.

Still a bit perplexed by steemit.com's development cycle. They got a lot of money at hand and still not basic DM feature, no user moderated tags etc...

I'm not involved with development but my guess is that the database sharding issue is bubbling up to near top priority because of the amount of data the blockchain is producing.  As I recall it was pegged for the next release.  Ethereum developers just announced some progress in this area.  A lot of this stuff hinges on development that is not apparent so much but critical to the function of the project, hopefully we will see some good changes soon though.

there seems to be interest to revitalize. Do you guys really want to revitalize? How are you willing to help?

I think the timing is right to revitalize.  This coin has always had an important goal behind it.  I'm not sure exactly what I can do that is of help but I seem to be getting a nice following in Steemit and could post some blogs about the coin or maybe create some newer videos.

I usually run with UPnP on and get 12 or more connections.  I noticed some crashing lately and had difficulty getting the wallet running until I turned UPnP off and ran with just three connections.  Things seem to be working now.  Perhaps there was a node that had some issue, I don't know.

Any staking wallet that has been staking on the same address for a long time will gradually start using more memory and CPU.  Your orphan rate will start rising too as the computer can't keep up with things.  The fix is pretty simple, I may post an article on Steemit about this.

As for the exchanges, NOVA was not accepting deposits last I checked but hopefully they will be back soon.  I hope eventually this coin will be on some decentralized exchange at some point, I think that would be good for PoS coins in general based on experiences I've seen with some exchanges (Cryptsy, etc.)

Thinking about trying for YoBit.net.

Quote
To add a new coin to Yobit please you need to fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 2-3 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
Please register and create Yobicode here.

I figured worth it for .1 BTC to try?  What do we think?

Plan would be to put up 25k from the HBN Fund wallet at 215 sats. Which would be about .053 ( I will kick in the rest, unless others want to help).  This would leave 57k in the fund.

Thoughts?   Huh Huh Smiley

Basically i like the idea of a new exchange. But personal i not trust yobit. I have read too much scam accusations about it and for example, the Zeitcoin wallet at yobit is thince one year in maintenance mode.
Maybe it's a good exchange, but i dont know. Hope to read more about yobit from other people.

I have had really poor experiences on Yobit, but heard others have liked it.  Deposits lost, withdrawals getting stuck and wallets permanently stuck in maintenance mode.  To their credit sometimes these things have eventually been fixed but it can take a really long time. There doesn't seem to be any support either.  I would suggest CoinExchange as a possibility, it has always worked well for me.  I have no idea what it takes to get a coin listed there though.

I would contact Bittrex and read them the riot act, tell them "You are hereby ordered to release everyone's funds or her majesties troops will storm whatever basement or travel trailer your servers are currently located in".  LOL.

OK time to admit how I am so incompetent.

Downloaded 1.1.4 running it , added the nodes from list to a conf file downloaded bootstrap and ran overnight woke up to the wallet running but no connections. No matter what I try none nada zip...it just refuses to make any connections and the wallet remains offline.

Am I missing something obvious Huh

You can download the blockchain which includes the latest binary v1.14 and config file here. There is a false positive in this version tho. Some antivirus may complain, if it does, dsable and add an exclusion. https://www.crypto-city.com/index.php/hyperstake-hyp-ann/info

It loads fast enough, but still no connections. Does the Hyperstake-qt.exe need to be placed anywhere specifically? Everything else is in my "Roaming" directory.

Looks like you have UPnP turned on, you might try turning it off long enough to get a connection.  Possibly you could try a different set of nodes in the config file.  Maybe even power cycling your router.  I've seen a bunch of different issues come up with different coins - just a few things I've tried.

I do not see any problem. Think of another solution?

I've experienced a few different issues trying to connect with other coins.  Sometimes I've seen issues with port mapping with UPnP.  You could try turning it on if it is off or off it is on.  I've run across other issues where I needed to turn off the router and reboot the computer.  Once I even had an issue with a config file where I removed all the old 'addnode' commands from it and put in a fresh list of nodes and things started to work.  Hopefully you can get things working.

Hello,

Having the same problem of synchronization of my wallet. I tried to put knots on the console
Addnode 73.12.235.88 onetry
149.202.137.169
67.161.120.48

I always have the problem.
My padlock is opened, that have to I make later?

Sorry you are still having issues.  You can find a list of current nodes from the block explorer here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gre/#!network

You could try adding some of them to your config file to see if that will help.
Code:
addnode=106.245.192.13
addnode=108.180.37.52
addnode=110.140.10.62

would it help if bought another million to speed things up or is it just the age thing if its a weight thing then the first reward i got was just luck??

It certainly helps to have more coins.  It is a combination of the number of coins and their weight that gives your chance of getting a reward.  Once you get a reward the coin weight for the block of coins that produced the reward resets to zero for eight days and then starts growing again until it gets to be 30 days old where it reaches its maximum.

Hello guys, I bought some Greencoins on coinexhange few days ago. Now the greencoin is $0.002219 and so i make a profit. But on coinexchange if I sell it I lost money. Could someone explain me why ?

Actually on coimarketcap : 1 GRE = 0.000 000 54  BTC

Actually on coinexchange : 1 GRE = 0.000 000 05 BTC

I don't understand

Simple explanation: Yobit has not updated the wallet for months so GRE can't be taken on or off.  The price on Coinmarketcap is based in part on this price.

Complex explanation: This appears to be part of Yobit's business model from what I have seen.  Many coins are in the same boat - last I checked.  Purchasing coins there often results in people dumping them at a low rate after they find out that they can't move them off the exchange.  (I've personally done this but have long ago stopped trading on this exchange) Pumping a coin is really easy if you know there is a limited amount of them on the exchange and no new coins are coming in.  If you are one of the few with GRE on Yobit it might be fairly lucrative if you play your cards right.  The ethics of this is highly questionable imho, lol. Re: [ANN][TRK] ★ Truckcoin ★ Pure PoS up to 200% per year ★ Cryptopia
by

Hyperstake (and others...) has a different way of calculating hash, calculate once and use many times, old qt code just keeps re-hashing the same thing.
Cpu load on my box is about 50% for Truck while Hyp runs mostly idle, and then my Hyp wallet has a lot more stacks then Truck wallet.

I will look into it.
That's great, thanks !

I've successfully ported Presstabs HYP staking code to TRK, test wallet works perfectly with much less CPU load.
But there is a problem, new code allows very easy exploit of timeshift vulnerability so before releasing the new code we have to hardfork to fix that.
Will prepare the mandatory wallet update and post it in a few days.
Impressive noise !
Can't wait to install this wallet.
Don't forget to block old clients.  Wink

Very nice!  Thanks for your work. Smiley

@Noise. Any plans for the rest of this and next year for TRK?
Currently I'm busy with other stuff but planning some kind of PR campaign for TRK soon enough.

Also I think it would be good to expand the inflation control further by lowering max stake amount cap.
Let's say change max stake amount from 200 coins to 100 coins for the next year and then set it to 50 coins forever or something like that.
Not sure yet though. What do you guys think?

200% interest will create 200% inflation unless your market/demand is 200% or better.
So long term I think we should seriously consider lowering interest.
Is there a way to adjust interest as a result of market price and /or coin supply ?

Stake reward is capped, currently max possible stake reward limited to 200 coins per block so the actual inflation for the last year was something around 130%.
I believe the best and most effective way to avoid hyperinflation and keep coin value is to keep 200% stake rate but limit max reward cap gradually in a few steps down to 50 coins per block or so.

Inflation, imho, classic inflation is years off as long as the ratio of coins being kept in one's balance for coin staking purposes remains the same, circa 90%, the last time i calculated it.  Its like a voluntary lock up or burn, where the staking interest is preserved, taken off the market,  not thrown back on the market, instantly, as in pow mining. I think that btc fud is the main cause of price drop, not just for Truck, but almost every alt coin and that as btc scaling settles in Truck prices will keep rising as those mbtc's being generated daily by the TruckCoin virtual generator starts to become significant coinage! I vote for doing nothing this year, just watch and if I am right Truck value will keep increasing with a healthy/healthier btc.

Keeping things the same gets my vote too.  If too few coins are created I think we might have issues as well because of the nature of proof of stake coins to be hoarded.  I think this year will be good - waiting and watching sounds like a plan.

Well thank you Smiley)

However my point here is not to sound spammy like if im trying to get upvotes through this forum lol. My point is to understand how some posts have huge visibility, and some dont. Steemit is quite new and doesn't have the volume of Youtube for example. So if a post get 2000-3000 views is good on Steemit.
Of course, upvotes make you be in the "hot" or "trending" category and gives your post more visibility etc.. But a person that is new and posts amazing stuff is treated unfairly i think.
I believe in Steemit really. People have to focus on good content, and stop seeing steemit as a cash cow only. Not that it's bad, but it would be bad for it to have the wrong etiquette.

Thank you all and be well

Money sometimes has a strange way of turning 'good' content into 'mediocre' content in my opinion.  The previous algorithms tended to encourage 'pilling on' and voting for popular content in an effort to maximize the curation rewards.  My hope is that this will gradually straighten out as people learn more about the changes from the latest fork.  I've noticed that there has been a lot of progress and changes with efforts being made to improve the system to try to balance things out.  In some ways the technical side of the issue can only go so far and it going to take a bit of community effort to focus on upvoting content from the less visible authors.

i see nova is about to delist hbn, i didn't know they listed lol,
anyway maybe dev could check the subject

I have very little, or rather no, control of the market. Either people put coins out there and trade or they don't. I would love to see more trading across multiple platforms, but this is up to you all.

I tried to trade HBN on Nova but the wallet was never able to make a deposit.  I don't know if they had technical issues getting it to work or what.  There were some buy orders placed but no way to sell HBN.

Current requests:

Change S4C to 100% - I think I will likely do 75 or 90% for the first change. Then if that goes well change to 100%.  But I can bump it, yes.
Lower CPU  - This will be one of the first one. Multiple changes for this.
Lower Memory - Most important but also most difficult. Will take much time, but will begin to investigate this and see what can be done.   Need help from the crowd on this one. What POS coins are out there that have the least memory?  New coins don't count. Have to have few years under their belt.

What else?

GenStake is another PoS/PoW coin that runs much less CPU and memory than HBN.  2GiveCoin runs with very little resources but is much differently structured kind of PoS/PoW coin.  Hyperstake and Truckcoin are also lower in memory and CPU use but do not use PoW. (Truckcoin runs higher on CPU use) The GreenCoin daemon runs with very little CPU and memory use but is also PoS only.
