I see you say a bit vaguely, we can not compare PEPS with Bitcoin. The other alt coin can not equal bitcoin, you bring the new platform as PEPS compared to bitcoin, the difference is too large.

Exactly. And mining using green energy is going to be the most profitable way to mine as the cost of solar drops. If we have a highly competitive / high tech mining industry, they’re going to be nimble to adapt to this change. Much faster than trying to convert the current banking industry over to green energy.

Plus people act like it’s trivial or easy to change the mining algorithm for bitcoin. It’s never going to happen. It would lead to a contentious hard fork and market confusion because no way everyone would agree.

When we suggest die , we merely mean capitulate into unimportance like the scam Paycoin that was supposed to destroy Bitcoin.

There will always be dumb money and credulous investors buying into these scams but these multicoiners will always be jumping on the newest speculative fad as well ignoring one of the most important reasons why Bitcoin was created.

A multicoiner undermines digital scarcity and your principle investment because one of the principle raison d'être of Bitcoin is to create digital scarcity and disinlfation instead of hyperinflation.

Altcoins will come and go and dumb money will keep jumping from one project to another

I think there’s a lot of blind excitement about blockchains, not acknowledging that bitcoin is currently by far the most useful blockchain (in terms of real world use cases). There will always be niche applications for other cryptos, but if crypto isn’t based on a foundation of scarcity, the whole ecosystem is based on some shakey ground. I’m pretty sure, instead, bitcoin is going to eat the world, including alts.

Please be careful with what you say. You dont want to give people false confidence. In reality cryptocurrency is a new area and it remains to be seen wether altcoins will be able to survive or bitcoin for that matter. But this is what makes them potentially good investments. High risk = High reward. But i think that the magic is disappearing and altcoins in particular will have a hard time because of this.

The willful ignorance is so fucking strong with you people. No, "all alts" will not die (not even all the shitcoins will ever die permanently, ffs). It is just not how it works.

There are problems which Bitcoin cannot solve, or at least the team refuses to solve (see Monero), or that maybe it isn't a good idea to solve on Bitcoin.

There are a fuckton of highly overvalued shitcoins. That is true. But to suggest that "all alts will die" is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. What happened to examining technologies according to their technical merit, and not by some emotional attachment to a name?

Because their criticisms were baseless to begin with. Even after Bitcoin is adopted on a mass level and the coin price is over 100k, people will still be bashing it.

It's been this way for years. Even now that the price is over $6k people are still criticizing Bitcoin, and all I can think is are you still this delusional? People said the same exact shit back when it was 200 bucks and they will be saying it for years to come until the complacency dies with them. If all you can see is the little window of time when it fizzed up along the way ...out of a decade of growth ...you don't deserve to be on the ride.

Have you guys noticed that every day around 5:00 pm EST that the market dumps, it has to be Wall Street taking daily profits before they go home for the night. It’s only on weekdays and has happened the last 3-4 weekdays in a row and on Friday’s it’s s bigger dump before they go home for the weekend.
