What is right about Bitcoin?
by

I am very confusing when people and media use different words to describe about Bitcoin.

They can use words like
Virtual currency
Digital currency
Cryptocurrency
Electronic cash

I am very confusing with words like "virtual currency" but I don't know what is a best word to use to say about Bitcoin.

In whitepaper, it is "A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash" but it is a long phrase.

I have just participated in this market a few recent months and begin with some BTC. I am saving them in my cold wallet and I'm wondering how to bridge my BTC to another chains such as Ethereum, Polygon to get more profit from Defi. Please help me and give me some good ways (reasonable cost and safe) to do that. Thank all!

I know each people when participate in this market all have own ways to protect your portfolio! So, I want to sum up all ways I am doing and maybe it will be helpful for newbies an just for reference purposes. Here are some ways:
  • Use a hardware wallet: A hardware wallet is a physical device that stores your private keys offline, making it harder for hackers to access your cryptocurrency.

Keep your private keys safe: Your private keys are the keys to your cryptocurrency, so make sure to keep them in a secure location, such as a safe or safety deposit box.

Use two-factor authentication: Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a code in addition to your password to access your account.

Keep your software up to date: Make sure to keep your cryptocurrency software and wallets up to date to ensure that you have the latest security features.

Use strong passwords: Use long and complex passwords for your cryptocurrency accounts, and don't reuse the same password across multiple accounts.

Don't share your personal information: Don't share your personal information, such as your email address or phone number, on social media or with anyone you don't trust.

Don't trust unsolicited messages: Don't trust unsolicited messages or emails asking for your private keys or other sensitive information.

Diversify your portfolio: Diversify your cryptocurrency portfolio across different assets and exchanges to minimize risk.
[/b]
Remember, cryptocurrency is a relatively new and evolving industry, so it's important to stay informed and up to date with the latest security measures to protect your portfolio.

Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here

I'm not sure if there's another thread for this already, or if this belongs in a different section. So basically I thought it would be helpful to post up your Bitcoin address in this thread in the event that your account gets compromised later on down the road. You can simply make a new alt account, sign the address that your original account posted here, and have irrefutable proof that you're the actual owner. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get your account back, but it's a pretty good start. Of course, if your account is compromised, the hacker could just come back to this thread and edit/delete whatever address you post here, so that's why I'm asking people to quote the address posted by the preceding user in this thread. Here's mine:
