Re: What manipulators want
by

I have watch some altcoins order books which I trade, It makes me scared and at times will have to spend 3 hrs monitoring the market. They will bring on a fake sell order for you to think the market is going to dump real bad, immediately you sell out of fear for the hope of buying high, boom that is it, the market pumps. Other times, they set fake buy orders in several prices and one will think, wow! is going to shoot up real well, but after a  while when buy volumes are enough to take profit, they offload, and there you go, they just took the profit. I have learnt never to follow the whales, when I get suspicious I stay off the market holding my bitcoin till the market is settled. Manipulators are dangerous in this space. Although they are found everywhere.

What I usually do when am making small fund withdrawal, and I want to avoid paying 0.001BtC because the fund is low, I will just buy BCH or Doge and move it to my low fee exchange say coinexchange as the case may be, I sell off and withdraw my BTC or simply trade.

Re: What is your opinion about cryptocurrency market now?

Although I never envisaged such a downward market for this long but there is just one thing I can do: this is to forget about my losses and search for a way out of the many losses through systematic research of some good low price coins.

Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum

The price of Wave is very low now, I am tempted to buying some waves over ETH but looking at the waves plartform, we have too many useless tokens, but  it's a place one can store tokens and trade them too, rather than having to move them out before trade placement.

I thought ETH was going to dip harder, all of a suddenly fund started entering the market and ETH came back from the valley of the death. ETH keeps melting the heart of investors!

Re: Bitcoin Can Be More Efficient Than Bank Transactions
by
Lizzyflower
on 11/09/2018, 04:25:03 UTC
Bitcoin is absolutely cheaper than the bank transactions especially when transferring between countries. And bitcoin is more efficient and faster, the only cause for concern is usually the confirmation time, this can also be dependent on the bitcoin network congestion, the fee used and the nature of wallet sent from. One of the thing one must be careful about is to avoid error as the transactions are irreversible.

Re: When do you expect Bitcoin to hit $20 000?
by

We can't tell for sure when this is going to happen for now. Many experts have speculated that it will hit $25,000 by year ending. I definitely think if ETF is approved this ATH could come sooner than expected.
But bitcoin ATH was actually in December 2017 and not January. You can check coinmarket historic chart here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#charts

I agree with him, but some coins are still going to do 1500% when the bull run finally begins. What is major in the space is the application of the various technologies which each project aims to solve. Profit should however be seen as a long term strategy rather than instant gratification.

Re: Without ETF , can expect a huge bull run
by

I believe the ETF can approval can will spike a dramatic bull run. However, should ETF don't get approved, am expectant that we are still going to see a bull run before year end, if history was to repeat itself. Whichever way it goes, I keep my eyes on the candles.

by

The SEC is becoming something else, if they want to approve this ETF, they should just go ahead with the approval and if they are not doing it now, they should give strong reasons for their decline. I just want this market to go smoothly with or without ETF.

Airdrop is very discouraging, the project team will usually distribute shit tokens. I have given up on airdrop and will only join quality airdrop with a fixed token.

Ethereum has not been very impressive in it market price as recently seen. One would have expected it to continue with BTC price upward trend. But I think ETH is highly under-price with the current market value.

Re: What will keep people from getting into cryptocurrency?
by

As much as we have good and genuine project developers and some exchanges, scammers do exist here too. Having to invest in projects and it scams or the project just went dead is something that could chase off new inexperience investors. This is why it's important people start their investment portfolio with the bitcoin.

As a bitcoin believer and investor, I have to realization that bitcoin is just more than price speculations. Been able to send cash abroad to a friend without having to pay the high bank cost and been able to beat the bank transaction limit of transfer is something to glory about. The speed and its certainty are factors to be happy able.

Re: Hacking Bitcoin,How Possible?

I have read that the bitcoin network can not be hack, as hacking it requires all computer system upon which it runs, and these are in millions, that it's too expensive to take such adventure. Although individual wallets can be hacked if not properly secured or exposed due to compromised.

It has been a very big relieve to me when moving fund via the bitcoin network, but some exchanges are yet very greedy, they refuse to reduce their transaction fee despite bitcoin transaction fee drop. I think they are too greedy.
