Who do I talk to register lvl1 nodes before they totally fill up.
Registrations are not open at the moment.
When the time comes I am sure there will be appropriate announcements.

In your FAQ, you mentioned a tier 1 static node cost 500k XBY and some fees. How much is the fees?
It will be +100k XBY for last (512th) registered L1 node.
+100K XBY fees? You mean these 100k fees is literally gone if I want to run a tier 1 static node? That's quite a bit.... Who gets the 100k fees?
Hmm yes it just fee. This fee will be shared between all nodes owners. So if u will register your node u will get part of every next registered node also. U will get part of fees from each L2 and L3 nodes also.
Fees will grow. There will be 0 XBY fee for 1st L2 node and 50000 xby for last one L2 node. So every next node fee will grow from 0 to 50 000 xby In L3 nodes it will be same but it will grow from 0 to 25 000 XBY

Is this something that was agreed on by the original node holders?
I understand that it is difficult to please everyone and Original Node owners did take a risk and have not being compensated for it. In saying that, they did buy nodes relatively cheap and are first in line to receive cash from Dapps and fees. To me that in itself is a pretty massive reward, specially as time goes by and XBY starts dominating the crypto world.
What I would like to see is further discussion on this and a middle ground found. Ie- reduce this registration fee so it does not disadvantage new investors too much. 100k seems greedy to me. I am not saying this from self interest as I have enough to cover a node + said fee. I would like a system put in place that benefits the whole community and promotes de-centralisation. In the end that is the dream of crypto isn't it?

Yeah I have syncing problems, too. I'm sure it will all be solved at one point, these are only temporary problems. When investing I make long-term decisions that are not influenced by temporary problems (or rather to the positive side - temporary problems usually means a good price to get in).

With ESP price dive since last summer, yeah ESP has become a long term investment.
I mean, with all the money ESP has made you guys last summer, a market value of 24 million $, I think ESP deserves a more mature and serious approach, compared to what I am seeing now.
The last wallet is very disappointing (did you guys test it at all?), pretty basic stuff:
1) if staking will not work properly until block x - why does the wallet accept or not warn people when attempting to stake before block x?
2) you guys should seriously setup some permanent nodes, and hard code them in the wallet.
3) wallet goes on forks frequently, probably because it's so hard to find nodes. Orphans are a real pest. Addnodes don't seem to help.
4) Development transparency is totally lacking.
Kids, this is not a game anymore; last summer at 30 satoshi, some people made real and expensive commitments to ESP - ESP has just become an adult business; it's time you start treating ESP that way, or pass the stick to another team.
So, I sent some Esp to an exchange to sell. It was all confirmed and all good however they never got there!! I thought this was a problem with the exchange and was about to raise a ticket when I noticed that the transaction changed from confirmed to unconfirmed ( 3/10). What is going on? This is not good enough. I am not fudding....Really I hate that shit but there are serious issues with this coin/chain ATM. This delay has most likely lost me money also.
Devs, for the sake of your investors and the value of this coin-please sort it out!!!
exchanges still are sorting out the new updated wallet, they updated to 0.8.7.0 but now they need to update to 0.8.7.2 i recommend when you are investing on projects that are getting updated frequently that you at least walk around the twitter feed or join a telegram channel and ask about the status of the coin in certain exchanges, its investing 101...know in what you are investing, research it and stay updated...
Thanks for your response. At least its heartening to know that they are working on it. FYI I have been invested in this coin for a long time and have a decent holding - I simply do not have the time to live on twitter, discord etc. I thought this thread was here for info. Some updates in this ANN thread would have been appreciated.

4) Chain info tab - Block Explorer section does not work. Generate ESP tab does not work. Messaging is "Coming soon".
5) When staking, the rewards are shown with a minus sign, then they become orphans.
6) We need a working and detailed ESP web official block explorer, yesterday (what I mean by no seriousness)

I agree. Frankly I have had nothing but trouble the last few days. My wallet going on different forks, funds going missing, wallet will not sync....I am done guys.

I know nothing about the argument inside the staff. Just interesting for me to get a little insight. Seems like many things have been dammed up, but the quarrel here might be (hopefully) a step into a direction, that clears up the some troubles. That would be much better for the project than a current uncertainty, or a continuous, destructive fight inside the community. So please go ahead as long as everybody remains objective and factual.

For me - as a total outsider - the line of reasoning from tjeff looks much better, than the one of bikerleszno, because to say (to obvious long term supporters), that they should sell their coins and leave the project behind is not only childish (what it absolutely is!) - it is more:
This provoking reaction tries to hide, that bikerlesznos answer misses any factual value. And it closes doors, which should better remained open in order to find through an objective discourse the best way for a prospering future for XtraBytes. For me it's alarming, how investors/supportes got treated here in a terse manner:

I am in crypto since march this year ... (Hey! Don't laugh!^^) ... but this short period was time enough for me to get deeply pissed off, when I read or hear about a second, third, ... coin-release from an already existing project. It offends hodlers and it frightens new investors in a world, which is complicated enough for newbies, or people, who don't want to step that deep into the matter like a dev or the hard core of the crypto-community. It is like a piece of tech: You want to use it, but you mostly don't want to understand exactly, how it works. And if you have the choice between a simple to operate piece of tech, or a difficult to operate one - which one would you choose (or invest in)?

Please don't forget, where future money will come from - because it won't work without this fresh money. And yes: Releasing a new coin has a strong inherent taste of printing money, no matter how shiny the grafics are. You are scared of limiting the supply too much, because of the locked coins for the nodes? Lower the price for the nodes! To halve the price should have the same effect like releasing a new coin with equal supply. Inclusive saving time and work, what you could better spend on the projects core - instead of creating a new construction site with it.

Beeing opaque is the most disqualifying factor for new and serious investors. Especially in such an early stage of a project, when trust is the most important thing of all.
I have been full of hope for XtraBytes. But after I have to read that (legimitate) critics should better sell their coins and leave, I'm just a bit thoughtful now. Because this statement shows nothing less than a deep lack of understatement in how the market works and how it works to lead a project to success: A project is nothing without investors. And less than nothing without investors who care. Nobody owns the whole truth about what is right or wrong. That's why a strong community with many ideas, suggestions, criticisms and many points of views is the key to success. You better should listen to each other, because you are dependent on each other -
... if the project XtraBytes is still important for you.

Great 5 cents! This is the kind of discussion that should be encouraged.
The problem has been certain individuals creating chaos, fudding, repeating the same thing over and over and personal attacks in one of the founders. These are the kind of people Biker was addressing I believe. If they no longer believe why are they still around? What motive do they have? Are they trolls who should be ignored?
One of these has multiple accounts here and on the slack. Claims to want to fix and help xby yet the more he talks the more he/she reveals themselves. I don't like getting into keyboard fights or arguments but this is something that needs to be called out.
Anyhow, great post. You raise some interesting points.

i don't know much about xby, i just hold 20.000 coins for the long term. I made a huge profit months ago and decided to rebuy some now that's cheap again in case it really moons in 2 years. If it crashes, no big deal for me.
Now, what I do know is if I had a bag of millions coins like many of the people here claiming they do and didn't trust the coin i would keep my mouth shut and try to get rid of those bags silently. Shit posting + claiming to hold a huge bag certainly sounds suspicious.

what's wrong in this community? I'm in this project since 6 months and finally 2 days ago after whitepaper release and some good xby articles on web things started finally to go better and now...we are at 300 sat again.
I understand this is a long term investment but we make one step forward and 2 backward.

Yep. Same. It's Sad but FUD seems to be a thing in crypto and perhaps more with xby for various reasons.
If you believe in the project, stay strong and hold for a few years. I won't be touching mine for a long time.
Same applies for the opposite. Those who do not believe should get out and go and find something they believe in. Spending countless hours and energy FUDing and being negative makes me weary and honestly, they are not people whose opinion I would trust.
Having a personal vendetta against Ccrev speaks volumes about themselves. Yeah mistakes have being made but remember, when a finger is pointed there are three pointing right back.

That's a huge mistake indeed. I honestly will not even consider selling until it's at least $8-10 per XBY. I really believe XTRABYTES will be a major player in the next 2 years.
I am similar. I will be holding my XBY for a long time. Let's see where we are in 2 years!

XBY slack as a whole is a pretty cool place with good community and people. Like in all social setting you do get "characters" but so far, its the best slack I have been in.
The trading channel can be out there but I personally like it and there are some very knowledgeable people in there. Personally, I don't see it being detrimental in any way. Ultimately, everyone has a choice so if someone does not like it then they don't have to go in there. There are other XBY focused channels.
