Re: Simple and undeniable proof that Bitcoin is a scam

No, I am referring to the fact that for every dollar that is in circulation, there is a borrower who was issued a loan and used loan created dollars to get(borrow) goods and services from the general population. For that reason he is legally obligated - by the loan contract (backed by collateral), to return dollars back to the issuer (bank), and in the process have less purchasing power for goods and services. That is how he "returns" borrowed goods and services back to the general population. On the other hand, bitcoin miner used bitcoins to extract dollars, goods and services from the general population, but unlike borrower, he has no obligation to return goods and services back to the general population. Thus, unlike Dollar,  Bitcoin is not debt instrument that reduces purchasing power of borrowers through the banking system. Hence, in the first instance we have: 'borrowing goods and services from the general population - returning goods and services back to the general population', which is legitimate. In the second instance we have "extracting goods and services from the general population", which is a scam.

So your objection to Bitcoin is that it doesn't follow socialist style flow of funds and instead follows capitalist flow of funds?
Using this logic then paying with cash instead of credit or a loan would also be a scam as it follows the exact flow that Crypto does.

Every dollar in circulation is NOT the result of a loan. If you borrow money then it would be, but if you earn it then it is not a loan as you are free to keep it as long as you want and never spend it.

A single ruling party exists at all levels of government. No checks, no balances.

This isn't democracy. This isn't what our founding fathered envisioned.

I'm done with America.

The USA is not now, nor has it ever been, a democracy. It has always been a constitutional republic. There is a huge difference between the two and it really saddens me that people are now taught to believe we are a democracy.

well you will see americans demanding communism, once they saw how some of them are using freedom to print money to basically tread the others as money earning cattle...

That's been happening since the 1930's and we haven't become communist yet.

Thanks for the merit. I am still a believer of Verge, although I don't hold any of the coin. At one point I was mining it but that was before it gained traction and the mining became too hard for my little miners.. lol

Heart surgery went fine and I've been doing well since then, thanks for mentioning it.

Yobit wallet is in maintenance again. Sad to see this coin not progressing. You might want to consider handing it over to someone who has more time to devote to it. I would enjoy a chance to helm this project if you decide to move on.

The biggest issue I have seen here is that there isn't enough time spent on keeping up with it and keeping things moving forward.

I am not surprised that few newbies have stepped up. Most either are spamming hoping for a merit and not even looking for a place to put decent content, or are too new to crypto to have anything worthwhile to share. Personally, I joined here long before merit was a thing and I am not that worried about the member level. I post what I think I can share, where I at least know something about the topic.

It might be a good idea to have a thread where those who have merit can make suggestions of newbies who deserve it but haven't gotten it yet but that itself can be open to abuse, so I'm not sure what the answer to the issue should be.

I just read the last several pages of guys trashing Verge. I laughed harder with each post I read. After being involved in Verge for several years I know that it is one of the best cryptos around and all the FUD surrounding it has done nothing but strengthen the coin, most of the FUD is done by guys looking to lower the price and make a profit. They are easy to spot and aren't fooling anyone who has spent any time at all around this coin.  Wink

Can you please answer one simple question: how can you utilize bitcoin, or in other words, what can you do with Bitcoin besides transfer it to another person? When you answer it you will grasp the full stupidity of links you provided.

Your argument seems to hinge on this single premise: That bitcoin has no intrinsic value other than something for people to trade back and forth.

If you look at every non backed currency in the world you will see the same thing. No value other than as a "product" to be transferred between people. Bitcoin is only a scam as far as pretty much every paper currency in the world is a scam.

I see no reason not to trust Bitcoin. The huge down market currently is the result of all the "investors" losing their shirts and getting out of our way. I think the next year will see the true crypto community make positive inroads towards making crypto a legitimate currency that is accepted and used as it should be.

The biggest motivation when buying art is what is the resale value going to do over time. The second motivation is if it is something that the buyer likes and would like to display in a home or office.

I don't think another forum is needed. There is nothing to be gained from spreading the current user base among multiple sites with different agendas.

I've talked a little in the IRC chat about what is needed for marketing Verge. I am having heart surgery next week and wont be around for a while but once I recover I will be diving head first into starting a marketing group dedicated to the sole purpose of getting more people aware of Verge.

The team will need several different experience types. Here is a general list of what I will be looking for, and this is just off the top of my head:

A decent copywriter
Someone to write general content for blog posts, ads, etc.
A web page master, with Wordpress experience
A programmer with at minimum php and js experience
Someone who knows social marketing

We will need a few more positions as things get moving but that should get things rolling at first. My job will be organizing and managing, since I have 10+ years designing and selling software online I know a lot of what is needed but like most programmers I suck at actually getting it done myself. Us programmer types are best at organizing and suck at creative stuff.  Wink

Anyone interested in joining the team please leave me a PM here and I will get to it just as soon as I possibly can.
I wont be around again until after my surgery so don't expect me to answer for about 3 weeks from now, 1 week to go for surgery, 1 week in hospital, and 1 week at home to rest up before I can get back online.

Any questions please ask Dev as he can verify I have discussed this with him and it was his idea for me to post here.

Go to the first page on this thread and find a pool that uses the algro that you are working with. Join that pool and then you will have to configure the miner software to connect to that pool.
