I have tried everything on my mac but bfgminer doesn't recognize the BlueFury. I can see it on my system profiler, have installed the latest bfgminer from brew and unloaded the kext's but nothing.... I really don't know what else to do... :-(
Was wondering, since this thread also pertains to the Red Fury miners, why not edit the title? So that people who have the Red Fury can easily look for the thread. Just a thought
Anyone else noticed that sometimes the LED's on the Blues just blink red on and off but sometimes they light up alternate yellow > orange > red and don't blink at all?
It doesn't make any difference to the hashing speed, just wondered why this was
I know in BGFMiner you can toggle an identify switch, which switches the miner from showing the yellow LED on or off, personally i prefer it off with a red flash for accepted work.
Where can I access the toggle?
Code:
[M]anage device up/down arrows to the device in question [I]dentify
this will toggle the light red to orange or vice versa
Thanks Taugeran! Seems like there are only two options on the Red Fury, red only or red and yellow indicators.

Is there anything incorrect or odd? Or did I finally (spent a week trying to set this up) do it right?

bfgminer and the RedFury miners!

Hi,
So recently I purchased a RedFury USB miner. I've been trying to get bfgminer to recognize it, but so far no luck. I've downloaded the correct drivers for it, looked through the forums searching for an answer (went to bfgminer thread, Blue Fury thread), and even sending out a few PMs for help. So this is my final attempt to get this red fury miner to be recognized by asking ya'll. Hopefully other people who have (or have had) similar problems can share their concerns, and hopefully those who know how to solve this will help us out
For some reason, unbeknownst to me, my Red Fury device is not hashing... Can anyone help? I have installed the drivers and bfgminer but can't seem to mine...

Re: The official MacMiner thread [BTC/LTC-CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC]
Has anyone tried running Blue Fury USB miners on their Mac with MacMiner?
I've not heard anyone talk about it but the version of bfgminer included does have bit fury support - I just can't find the info on whether they need usb-serial drivers installed - anyone know that?
I recently purchased a RedFury and was wondering if anyone tried or knows if they work with the Mac Miner?

Mining from a Mac

Hey guys,
I just recently got into mining after a friend introduced me to it. I did quite some reading and researching on the topic for about a couple of weeks now. I know which mining rig I would like to use (RedFury 2.6 GHs erupters that I found, but can't get any yet since I don't have bitcoins maybe I'll buy them off of LocalBitcoins), but I don't know which pool I should join or with software I should use for a Mac. Are there any good ones for Macs? Any suggestions?
And just in case people want to know: my laptop is a mid 2008 Aluminum MacBook by the way. It's old I know, but I've kept it in great condition and the gal hasn't failed me yet!
