Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services.

Here is my opinion about how we should proceed with this:

1. Determine the identity of the owner of bit-mining.co and of all of the principal engineers, partners and co-owners. Get their names, addresses, countries of origin.

2. Organize a master list of the contact information and amounts of loss of all those who lost funds on bit-mining.co

3. Decide from among us who will coordinate this project and get people to agree to do each of the separate tasks below, such as talking to prosecutors, lawyers, etc.

2. File a criminal complain in the legal jurisdictions where each of the principals live.

3. Contact the civil authority in each location and begin conversation with the criminal prosecuters for that jurisdiction.

4. I also feel someone should contact the owner of bit-mining.co and ask him to come clean.

Does anyone know the current state of any claims, law suits or attempts to identify or press charges against the owners of bit-mining.co?

I have losses of 640 GH and the equivalent of 8 BTC.

I need to check my spread sheets and I will be adding my info to the data base.

Lorenzo Money

By the way, would like to communicate, that we have reached a list of 71 BTC OVERALL VALUE in LOSSES reported by you, maybe more as there are some amounts in Dexster list still to check.

ALSO REMEMBER YOU There's a way for you to upload "proves", related documentation, or ways of showing your losses to our Bitmining claim account DRIVE account that we will hopefully use them in the lawsuit.

I recommend to ZIP all your files and save them as your e-mail.zip name (youremailatgmaidotcom) . You can check at the blog for more info: bitminingclaim.blogspot.com

All the best,

I also invested with Active Mining.
Someone got a lawyer going on this: http://www.woodlaw.com/cases/virtual-mining-corporation-and-active-mining-corporation
Perhaps we should find a lawyer in Toronto and do the same thing to bit-mining.co

Does anyone have a lead on the name of the guy who owns bit-mining.co

Also, if YOU are the owner of bit-mining.co, you should be shitting in your pants with fear, because we are coming after you legally. You will end up in court or at a table with a lawyer trying to explain yourself.  To prevent yourself more anxiety and fear, you should give a report here and give us an update. Otherwise, you will have lawyers looking for you.

Dexter,

My suggestion is that everyone who had shares/GH send me a PM with as much information as possible, screen name, email address, and so on.

Then we organize here and assign tasks. Someone can try to find the name of the site owner. Someone else can focus on learning about the laws in Ontario. If we do this in a group way, just like Mechanical Turk solves problems, we can track down the own and the name of his support person, and ask him what he is doing and perhaps file a proper effective police report. Surely we have someone from Toronto on this thread.

I am assuming that the owner was some under 30 guy who got overwhelmed and now is in over his head. That doesn't matter . What matters is that we lost money because of his failure. So now, we track him down and see what is left. Surely he has bitcoin or hardware or something of value. Maybe he can be cajoled into accepting engineering help to get the site up and running again.

The idea of the site is good, but he might have been in over his head.

Ok, so who is willing to work as a group to track this guy down, and find out how to properly proceed?

(Oh! And to the owner of the bit-mining.co site, we WILL find you and you WILL end up in court unless you come clean and give an update. In addition, if you really need help to get this site back up, please ask. Better to ask for help than end up with legal problems from which you will not be able to escape.)

Yeah this is a brutal level of "lack of communication", the bitcointalk account hasn't been accessed since: April 23, 2014, 01:19:56 AM.

@Lorenzo - Regarding finding address and contact information, since the site operator never made any of these public the only recourse is to file a police report, in which case the police can request the information from the hosting provider and domain registrar to conduct an investigation. - However I doubt they would ever give you/us the information directly.

I do recall someone posting in a different thread that they had the site operator's cell number, and even threatened to post it, but then his issue was resolved and his tune changed...

Hoping we hear something in the next couple days.

We should work together here.

Who knows the legal names and addresses of the operators of bit-mining.co?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to find that information?

You must be joking.

How is it a user's fault when the site goes down and the owner of the site fails to refund funds?

Frankly, I need the money that was lost on bit-mining.co

As I see it, the money is lost. The options are civil action in a court in Toronto, Ontario where the owner of the site lives.
I understand someone has already brought a criminal complaint against the owner of the site.
Things like this always work better if those who have experienced damages organize and work together.

Who is the person who filed the criminal complaint? Does anyone know the real life identity and address of the owner/operator of bit-mining.co?

stop posting now my lawyrer r working on it

rrrrrrright. And is your "lawyrer" licensed in Ontario? Have you paid the retainer yet? When can we join your noble endeavor?

He's a retard dude.  How can anybody take him serious when he can't even talk correctly?  He's a bumbling idiot.  He doesn't even know what he's talking about.

I feel like we will get our money back without a lawsuit.   Have a little patience, dont waste your time just be more careful where you invest.  Its just as much ur fault as it is theirs.

Daily Updates
by
LorenzoMoney
on 22/04/2014, 14:30:58 UTC
At this point, considering how much money is involved, and the risk for you should you not be able to restore people's accounts (that risk being legal prosecution in Ontario) it is in your best interest to provide a daily update here, even if that update is simply a short message sharing what you are doing to make refunds or to restore the site and people's account.

Posting here would keep you accountable for getting on with the restoration work. Think of this thread as your project manager.

Also, daily updates, even short ones, will alleviate the anxiety and concerns that your investors/customers have. That will reduce attacks on you and criticism which will reduce your anxiety.    Just a suggestion.

That being said, please provide some contact information on yourself. It would be nice to have a working email address for bit-mining.co customer support.

It would also be nice if you could provide an ETA for when things will be back online and working.

Hello Bit-Miners,

As you may have noticed, we have been under severe attack for the last few days. We have suspended the site in an attempt to mitigate these attacks. We are working hard to restore the site to full operability. Although we are aware that user frustrations are running high, we ask that you be patient as we attempt to restore the site and prevent the constant and crippling intrusions that have been causing us so much trouble as of late. As our email accounts have been compromised, please ignore any communication from support@, admin@ or contact@bit-mining for the time being. We apologize to users that have received offensive or misleading emails from any of these accounts. We would never insult our users and have no intention of closing our doors.

We will keep you updated as we resolve the issue.

Theoretically, someone buys a bunch of miners and sets them up somewhere and sells the rights to the income from the miners to others, and takes an operating fee for maintaining the hardware. Then, if that person sets up an exchange to trade the GH for mining, which is really ownership of the rights for the rights to the mining income for that amount of GH, and takes a %age of each trade, then you have what bit-mining.co tried to be.

The advantage is that you do not have to buy hardware and you can mine. The disadvantage we have seen in what just happened.

its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address
failed:

Is anyone able to access the site?

Does ANYONE have contact information on the owners of bit-mining.co?
A name and place where they live would be nice.

Let's begin assembling a list of people who have lost resources on there and take this to the local authorities of wherever the owners of the site live.

The promise was that in 48 hours the fixes and support request would be resolved.

If anyone has information on the owners of the website bit-mining.co such as names and addresses and phone numbers and contact information, please share it.
I suspect that if some subtle pressure was placed on them, that if they do not either fix the site or release any monies held, legal process would be initiated, they will get things going faster. Inf act, they could make good profit if they just ran things well.

Please share the names and contact info, including phone numbers, physical adresses of the owners and operators or the site.

then your one of the lucky FEW alot of ppl have missing KS and GH and then it takes days to weeks to get a withdraw out very little support and when he is on he CANT help just make a ticket so support isnt support hes a secretary to take messages among the "hack" attempts that have caused major issues but ofcourse the "hack" attempts didnt start till they had issues of payment missing you can view on a previous page at one of them so yeah
