Thanks for the suggestions.  Good one about asking mining community, I may try that.  Yes, I realize what mining entails with asics or gpu's.  Obviously outside of the scope of mini's.

There are some different possibilities.  Like the suggestion about grass. Anybody doing it that can say what it earns?  I understand too that these things are likely to make pennies a day and not a living wage.   Just looking to maximize thing's I already pay for like my connection.

One example could be to have the pc mining monero (that's still a CPU mining algo right?)  that could probably co-exist with something like one of those "decentralized competitor to dropbox"  type of cryptos.  You could probably add one of those bandwith sharing sceme's also if you worked out cpu priorities correctly.  Although, i'm not sure i want to be involved with bandwith sharing.  I don't wanna be like a TOR exit node or something with scammers flowing off my home connection doing crimes.  Just giving examples.

Outstanding sir!  We are looking forward for Grow Advertising to go live as we are in one of the industries that badly need a solution like this.  Facebook is a horrid non communicative pile of dung to have to deal with advertising on, and Google is not much better.

This is already in the pipeline.   Rebrand is imminent and it will allow us to cater to several more industries which is huge.  I operate a business that caters to the Forex markets and already have plans and budget allocation to expand our advertising efforts onto the Grow platform once it goes live.

Very Excited for the future of this project and I'm personally invested and adding to my holdings accordingly.

Gonna go get my vote signalling.   Imagine NAV core with funding + the extra community morale and support this will bring.  Future will be bright.  I hope we can see a vote similar to what we saw with the segwit one. 

Thank you for the replies.  so as there is not some other possible vote option looming after this one, it seems the best option is vote yes to this.  nav has a great team and great tech but companies need funding to do great things.  i think the community involvement is a nice aspect also.

can anybody explain the rational for the why the lower staking rate though?  I'm a big picture type of person so the yes vote is obvious to me but i am curious about this.  Thanks

Hi, I'm just catching up on things.  Trying to get a better grip on what the vote is about as i just grabbed the new wallet but not yet voted.  I'm heading over to reddit after i post this to try and learn more.

I saw somebody mention they wanted to vote no to this so they can vote yes for a secondary proposal (5-1 i think they may have said?)  Can anybody enlighten me on this or point me to where i can read up as to various options?

From what I've read so far it seems like a vote yes is voting for two things. A staking reduction + a developers fund and from how I've read it they would reduce staking from 5% to 4% ( a 20% reduction) and then take a further amount from that reduced staking amount for development fund.  

As an investor and staker it seems kind of like they are going in my pocket twice on this one vote.  Am I reading into this wrong?

I love this project and think a community/development fund is a great idea and totally what navcoin needs.  I would totally vote yes on that.  But i don't personally like the 20% reduction on staking on top of that. unless i'm misunderstanding..

I think if it is two major changes it should be two votes personally.

It will get there, don't worry.  Just increase your position as you can.  This is just the start and sort of a gift and a homage to us in the crypto sector to show the love back to the community.  

I know the guys at DOPE.  For one thing, Adam (smx ceo) and David (dopecoin ceo) are heavy hitters in the online marketing sphere outside of crypto.  The marketing hasn't started yet (due this week) and that will just be a preliminary stage.  Remember this is first round of funding, so what will begin shortly is just out of pocket funding, after the Pre-ICO there will be additional funding for the main marketing campaign of the actual ICO.

Also you have to realize the scope of this project is to interface with a large industry outside of crypto.  It is hard to gain adoption with any industry outside crypto as they don't understand it yet and generally businesses want to just go with what is known to work and are resistant and wary of new paradigms.  

It can take years to gain adoption, however the MJ industry is blacklisted, for now, from financial services, this forces them to use cash which is bulky, inconvenient, and poses extra cost for security, insurance, and risk to employees safety.  So you see this is a very unique situation where adoption can go extremely smoothly.  Like filling a vacuum.

SMX is a genuis, really.  It provides a strong use case for itself and also for Dopecoin, effectively getting its foot in the door of entire industry while simultaneously, and unwittingly converts them into crypto users overnight.  Once they are participants in this and have the "ah ha!" moment and realize crypto really is a currency (a great one) they will begin to use it in other aspects of their business for payments and transactions.  

Eventually marketing and active sales efforts will take place in the mainstream outside of our little realm we call crypto.  This thing is going to have a long way to run. Don't sell yourself short.

If you really think about it.  How many cryptos right now have realworld use outside of speculation and enthusiast usage?  Bitcoin, yes.  how many more?  you can count that on a hand, but dopecoin is already one of those (see the links at the top of the dopecoin ANN) The fact that very few realize this yet is both astounding and a blessing to us who can enter now.  Once one ponders this they can start to understand the massive implications.

Probably more than you are asking for but I wanted to write it so others can understand what this is here.  If you are just and ICO flipper I think you can do well with this one based on what I know about the core members advertising ability and the fact they have established good credibility for meeting their stated goals.  However I believe the longer term investors stand more to gain.  Regards!

There's a completely preposterous ICO going on right now called artemine.  You guys should take a look if you want a laugh.  Also we can all be reminded how professionally this one is being done and how good the communication is here vs there (not existing.)

Adam,  I can confirm this also happens to me on your link and also some other projects.  Was thinking i may know the problem.  When you join Telegram, you can use it and you have a login name but you don't yet have a global username yet.  I had to go in my telegram settings and "create a username."

I just had to do this recently as someone was trying to manually add me to their group and could not until i did, even though i thought i already had a username.

Was thinking this is maybe why some groups give that error when people try to join them.  If this works please inform me as i would like to know and also inform some other projects where i have encountered this error.
