Re: What do you think about immortality?

Why anyone would want to live forever on this god-forsaken rock is beyond me.

If I could change my appearance and identity every 50 years while erasing the memory of the previous 50, then maybe. But I certainly wouldn't want to do it in America.

Too many people are under the impression that smartphones make their lives easier. Smartphones will never die.

My thought is this though: If you depend so heavily on a device that, if the grid went down your life would come to a standstill, you should re-think the usefulness of that device.

Does not explain anything. He thinks much better than many people who do not have health problems. After the election, Trump the President of America I think that half of America had a problem with the brain. Maybe it's the epidemic?

He may think better than half the people in Washington, but it's WHAT he thinks about that bothers me.

When a person believes that the only solution to any problem is through war-like actions, you have the question that person.

Re: What do you think of North Korea?

Even though China is a main trade partner with North Korea, they would sit on their hands if we bomb the snot out of N. Korea. They (China) do more business with us and have no personal attachments to crazy boy. Therefore, take out the weaponry at the DMZ to keep the south safe and, simultaneously, carpet bomb the capital. With our arsenal, it would take 1 day.....tops.

Then, if we cannot de-program the populace who will think that we just killed God, keep them as laborers.

N. Korea is way too unbalanced to be left unchecked. They need to go.

That was mean.

Now is the time for him to bow out knowing the exact nature of his condition. He's not medically fit the job anymore. He's done his time, for better or worse. It's time to get some new blood in Washington.

Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift?

I thought I would sell that BTC to buy a wedding gift. It is more necessary than you give them BTC while they do not know what Bitcoin is, it is rubbish for them.

In this case, you sound like you're making the right decision. But if the recipient knows about the ins and outs, I think giving a BTC would be a great gift.

Water rules.

I also like ice tea with ice cubes. Very refreshing, little to no sugar and it keeps me hydrated as well as water does.

The Russians are coming!!!!! Which leader was it that said they would destroy America from within? And people thought hacking the election was sinister. How does Snowden sleep at night?   Cheesy

Anyway, it is B of A. I banked with them for 6 whole months about 15 years ago. Never again.

So banning should re enforced for the non believers then. Get it. Should we ban all of those who not only do not believe in bitcoin or all of those creating altcoins on bitcointalk?

It is a privately owned site so the owners can do what they want with it. I understand the frustration, you want healthy conversations from both sides, but it's still their site.

What is the best solution to resolve our problem in overpopulation?

This: http://www.campbellmgold.com/archive_esoteric/georgia_guidestones.pdf    Page 5

In lieu of that, if people were redistributed to empty, yet potentially sustainable, parts of the planet it wouldn't seem like the world is overpopulated.

We don't have a population problem as much as we have a distribution problem. One half of the warehouse is full and the other half is empty.

But I still like the Guidestones.

If a country entirely phased out cash and replaced it with digital currency would it become destabilized?

Define digital currency. I could live out the rest of my days using only my debit card which, some could argue, is technically "digital" money. I rarely if ever use cash.

This happens all the time. And the other airlines also do it.

That doesn't make it right. If I pay for a seat that I chose, I expect to get it when I board. It's only right. It's like getting in a grocery line, paying for brand name crackers and, just before I get out the door, an associate tells me I have to take the generic brand because another customer wants the brand name, then proceeds to pay me the difference.

WTF?Huh

If money cannot buy you happiness, you're spending it on the wrong people, places and thing's.

Just don't hold the importance of money so high that you can't see the importance of anything else.

Of course, Christians think wisdom equates to evil so there you go.

All these coins are in the green. Except by the hour

That says it all.

People who see something as high risk tend to believe it's so because they see the hour to hour fluctuations as being the reason why the price is what it is.

Elon Musk has called the greatest threat to human civilization
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has described artificial intelligence as "the biggest risk to civilization." Moreover, the Isma urged the government to intervene and restrict research in the field of artificial intelligence. Perhaps "Terminator" is his favorite movie.
I have to agree with Elon Musk on that, why in the world would we want to create artificial intelligence by the way, why create a species stronger and wiser than yourself, there is no logic to it at all. They will strive to rule us and i dont want to be stuck in a matrix of anykind.

It is counterintuitive at best. Smart enough to be able to create something that has the potential to make us useless.

I like Elon Musk. He makes sense to me.

Re: Health and Religion
by

on 18/07/2017, 12:53:50 UTC
From neurology, the concept of health has lot to do with the mind or nervous system capacity to link perception of environment and inner state / physiology.

It's not very hard to see how understanding of self and "intelligence" play out in survival and maintaining the biological system healthy , and how negative emotion , stress, anger have negative effect on health.

In cognitive therapy they put lot of importance in the connection between belief, emotional state, and general health.

Early spiritualists knew this connection very well, it's found all into budhism, yoga, Shamanism etc.

One would say goal of religious practice is to refine those belief to get better health.

Actually there is a lot in aryuveda & yogic teaching confirmed by science and neurology.

I would even go as far as to say science is only scratching the surface of what is known by spiritualists or yogi since dawn of time.

Thank you for sharing those insights and observations. It' i good to see someone else believing what I do, no matter how un-mainstream it is.
