Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - new unified multi-algorithm on-the-fly kernel switching miner

Just wondering if anyone else is getting the following error while trying to mine on X13 on Sgminer V5:

"/tmp/OCL774T11.cl", line 930: error: identifier "mixtab2" is undefined
      FUGUE512_3((hash.h4[0x0]), (hash.h4[0x1]), (hash.h4[0x2]));
      ^

"/tmp/OCL774T11.cl", line 930: error: identifier "mixtab3" is undefined
      FUGUE512_3((hash.h4[0x0]), (hash.h4[0x1]), (hash.h4[0x2]));
      ^

"/tmp/OCL774T11.[09:45:37] Failed to init GPU thread 1, disabling device 1
[09:45:37] thread_prepare failed for thread 1Segmentation fault

This isn't priority because this is only on my linux miner running two 7850s using 14.6 currently and 13.12 in the past and I don't get this error on the other linux miner running two R9 270s, one R9 270x and one R9 280 using 14.6.

I compile the source all the time and the 7850 miner has never worked on V5 for X13, so I have to go to different Sgminer and compile that instead of multi-algo mining with same miner.

Just compiled today using version sgminer 4.2.2-280-g5bd2-dirty and same error.  Used both marucoin-mod and marucoin-modold just to be sure.

This occurs whether the config is X13 only or a multi-algo config.  With the multi-algo config it errors like this when I switch to the X13 pool.  I've used fully configured config down to barebones config with same results along with same config used on working sgminer with the exception of algo name change from X13mod to marucoin-mod.

Prior to error screen it says building binary marucoin-modPitcairngw12814big4.bin .  Also copied the bin from the working sgminer, renamed it and only difference is lack of "building" message.

Just let me know if I have to submit a bug error as I don't have a github account right now.

Thank you

Looks like fixed fan speed works OK now. I'm using 48% for both cards.

I'm trying to make the miner auto switch to the most profitable coin among X11/X13/X15 algos, but nothing really works as intended. First I tried to use TMBSwitcher 1.01 but miner idles for more than 1h waiting for work from pool sometimes. I tried using 4010/4011 ports and somehow miner quit after some time. Now I'm trying with 4440/5550/6660 but miner just runs X11 algo when X15 is most profitable and don't know how to make it autoswitch to X15 (bullus' config had default X11 kernel but I deleted that string from config).

Don't know if you modified the tmb-switcher.conf yet, but you need to add a couple lines.

#Defined Mining Algorithms
[Algorithms]
nscrypt = false
scrypt = false
x11 = true
x13 = true
x15 = true

and
# For Windows, uncomment below
nscrypt = scripts\nscrypt.bat
scrypt  = scripts\scrypt.bat
x11  = scripts\x11.bat
x13  = scripts\x13.bat
x15  = scripts\x15.bat

Then create and modify the x15.bat file in the scripts folder.  I'm running the python script on windows pushing the change to my linux miners.

Tried pointing my miner to not only the 6660 port but also the 3504 port and it only showed up on my Workers and Pool info as only like 20k hash rate.  Been pointing to Suchpool and getting what I see on my end, which is 8Mh/s.

Please provide link for x15 miner.

Windows binary

https://mega.co.nz/#!cAYBSKSZ!9-pVbEfzzKdgqO5q--ixAHRxk7Kxyyhno_Mjjd4cA9w

or Linux source

https://github.com/aznboy84/X15GPU.git

One question I have is that some folks point to the Sgminer V5 branch as a miner for X15, but I don't see the algorithm for it, are they wrong at this time?  I tried building it and it doesn't know the bitblock algo.  Just wondering if I'm missing something with folks pointing to the V5 as a X15 miner?

Thanks langes01x.
Just one point that I didn't get 100%: do I need sgminer v5.0 to use the 4010/4011 ports on TMB?
Ideally I'd be using the TMB autoswitcher as x11mod/x13mod give quite a boost compared to dark/maru... and I'm using PIMP on my mining rig (not too keen on having my PC running 24/7 just to be able to steer & monitor it).

I wouldn't use the 4010/4011 ports if you're not using the v5 mainly because if whatever switching software on the client side is out of sync with the 4010/4011, you'll just be trying to mine on a dead port and it'll go to your secondary.  If for instance X13 is more profitable, the 4011 port is on, but you'll see the 4010 port as dead and vice versa.

Just a note though, my miner sees the 4010 and 4011 ports both dead quite a bit, at the same time and I end up mining my secondary for a few minutes.

Glad I turned off my rig because of the low btc/day..too bad but need to even the powerbills to make some profits.

Don't know, Razorcoin did pretty good last night.  Switched my miners to Scrypt before I went to bed and woke up with equivalent of one day hashing.  Back to my X11/X13 switching but was nice to see that spike.

Sorry, the algo in main seemed like it was an issue from previous versions.  I'm currently running 4.2.1-96-g77c99 now.  Was able to start and switch pools without algo statement in main.

My suggestion now would be to download the latest version.  Since I'm using Linux, I'm able to download source and compile.  Looking at git source, another change has been made since my last download and compile yesterday.  Using PiMP 1.5.5Beta w/14.4 Catalyst on two and 13.12 on another.

BETA: Multi-Algo MultiPorts -- X11 4010, X13 4011. Using the new sgminer5 -- mine the most profitable algo (that mines the most profitable coin Tongue)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SGMiner 5 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632503.0

Setup:
your tmb stratum of choice port 4010
algo: x11
your tmb stratum of choice port 4011
algo: x13

Only one port is alive at a time -- we will likely add scrypt/nscrypt to the mix at a later time, but right now x11 and x13 is where the gpu profits are.

I'm working on re-organizing the home page, and will add more charts/stats for the multi-multi ports to the dashboard as well.

Cheers!

The above code is for my three R9 270s (first is 270x last two are 270s). This is conservative, 1500-1550 khs on X13 and 1875-1940 khs on X11.

You have to put "algorithm" in the main body and then you can put your pool-algorithm in the pool area.  Whatever algo your Pool 0 is, is what I would put in the body down at the bottom.  If you had darkcoin-mod in pool 0, I would put darkcoin-mod in the algo statement at the body.  If you don't put the algo in the bottom part, you'll get a ckolivas kernel compiled and will stay on that kernel until you switch another pool beside your 0-pool.  Just to restate the obvious, the ckolivas kernel won't work for X13 nor X11 and get the errors you're talking about.

Last I checked, you have to have a starting "algorithm" : "marucoin-mod,marucoin-modold,marucoin-mod,marucoin-mod,marucoin-mod", in the main section below the pool area.
Secondly, I have a rig with two 7850 and a 6870, so I had to do two marucoin-mod and one marucoin-modold.  For some reason, whenever you mix algos on this version of sgminer, it compiles as ckolivas kernel instead of marucoin-mod and marucoin-modold.  Someone asked on the forum that the V5 was posted, but I have yet to see a response or fix.  So in the meantime, in order for me to get the rig working right on the V5, I had to take the 6870 out of the rig and put it on its own.  Sad

Since you're not using the switching yet from your config, I would go back to the lasybear sgminer which allows you to mix old and new kernel. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.0
