Re: Genesis-Mining Review

Want to know, if I invest on Genesis-Mining about 1 BTC, how long I get the return of my investment?

Never off course. Don't invest in Genesis mining, I did, and I learned my lesson.

Genesis Mining has NEVER EVER been profitable. I have not been able to find a SINGLE person EVER reaching ROI with them.

So pls, do your calculations the right way and stay away from financing their farms.

This. And yes I speak from experience. Even though it was a small amount to try them out, it was a loss after a year. Do not invest in Genesis Mining, it's for your own good.

BitSwamp has been under the control of that guy with the 1000k ask wall since July ... someone needs to clean his clock and take him out once and for all ...

Chill out, let him play. As long as he makes money, then good on him.

Shorts are high, but I am sure most of them are sitting on massive gains from the overall downtrend, so they can take a beating. Also longs measured in bitcoins have increased the last few days even more than shorts. I took my 25% profit already, so I don't really care at the moment where it goes.

Closed my long, some good profits. Crazy greedy panic buyers haha Grin Time to sleep, 6 am here. Anyway it will be interesting to see if the overall downtrend of 2014 continues or not.

I got a small deposit (100€) in yesterday at Bitstamp and now they want me to answer 5 questions.
[ ... ]

100E? Is this for real? I'm not gonna send money to Bitstamp again. Any fiat will go through Bitfinex for now, until better options arise. Too many reports of this. I have become too fearful that they will freeze my funds to keep money there. What if they don't like my answers? What if they try to say my coins are from SR or something?

Yes, what is going on with Bitstamp lately? I have been using them for over a year and they recently blocked Bitcoin withdrawals in my account without notifying me, I asked them to allow the withdrawal of Bitcoins again and they tell me this:

Please provide a high resolution image of yourself holding your ID (the same ID used for your account verification) and "[date of submission] For Bitstamp LIMITED only" written on a piece of paper.

Attach the document in a reply to this ticket, so we can check your identity and proceed with your request.

Are they joking? I am just a simple trader, not a criminal. After Gox, where I luckily got out in December, now this again.

These overnight profits Grin sometimes Bitcoin really is a get rich quick scheme. Anyway time to take the day off and enjoy the weekend. Looking back to the total lack of buy interest for 440+ coins and the grind down the last weeks, probably a good idea.

It almost seems as if someone at Bitstamp is attempting to FORCE that to happen so that people will think this.

Exactly. It still seems some people are easily impressed by some bid support on the charts. Yesterday it was the same. You would think they should know better by now. Also when it dropped a bit yesterday, bid walls were removed very prematurely. Still easy to ride these little waves though, just profit from it.

Does anyone know where to post that a 5 BTC withdrawal I did 3,5 hours ago on MtGox hasn`t still been processed? Their customer service does not answer yet. On Gox is does not show up as pending, but as done (in the history).

There is a thread somewhere in service discussions. Unfortunately this is normal, it happened to me quite a few times. You will have your coins tomorrow hopefully and support will reply in a week. Just stop using Gox.

Re: Why are BTC-E and bitstamp $200 behind MtGox?

It amazes me that they are actually so close behind. I guess MtGox has a lot of patient users, who do not care about their lies, bad customer service, bitcoin and fiat withdrawal delays.

The only value of litecoin is for speculation short term. It has no improvement over bitcoin.

/thread

they said that about visa and mastercard too.

if you think bitcoin is going to be the only coin in the world , your crazy .

Keep bashing Litecoin guys all you do is make more and more people aware of it everytime you type  Litecoin , hahaha thanks guys

This ^^. I do not use or trade Litecoin, but it is great that there is competition that is successful as well. Competition is good for innovation. And it shows that Bitcoin is not unique, it is likely that it will be surpassed by better crypto, just be ready when the moment comes.

Indeed, do not use them. I did get my bitcoins after 24 hours. Their support replied 5 days later telling me that the transaction went through, what a bunch of tits.

BTC withdrawls have been taking about 48 hours lately in my and my friends' experience.  High volume I'm sure.

That is just crazy. Still nothing happening on the blockchain, and not even a support reply.

Same problem here today. Previous withdrawal was instant. And the new one today delayed, nothing is appearing on the blockchain. I payed the fee.

This is not sure to have been a manually entered market buy. It could have been a triggered stop or a margin call (on a previous short). Or a cascade of margin calls/triggered stops, that shot the price up to 400.

Yeah, you are right, that is possible  Smiley It would be nice to get some feedback from the Bitfinex team regarding this.

Im not trying to wine here or look for a scape goat for my loss but all bias aside I think this is still insane. It defies all utility this service has over low liquidity exchanges. With unpredictable spikes like this you cant trade on margin not long nor short. Im just sad I have to leave the site because I liked it but this is an impossible situation.

I know, it is shit to loose money like this. You would expect all the folks that are using Bitfinix to understand how to use limit orders instead of a market buy like this. But it is not like there are spikes like this every day. And the traders at Bitfinex always seem to be super bullish.

Why would you blame this on Bitfinex. Just keep track of the order book depth. You are responsible for your own positions and risks, not Bitfinex. I have no complaints yet, I moved from Gox to Bitfinex.

Still going up, crazy Grin I am getting rich, but the FBI is even getting richer lol. The 4k Bitcoin theft in mainstream news though and Bitfinex taking measures to cope with a possible crash.

It is just greed that is driving the price now, not a natural growth. Just wait, have some patience. This is Bitcoin, there are going to be dips and crashes. And if not, there will be better cryptocurrencies in the future that might even make Bitcoin obsolete, plenty of opportunities to come.
