If you guys are still stuck, you should check this guide out. It was the most useful for me because it not only gives clear directions but has pics.. http://cryptocur.com/litecoin/litecoin-ltc-gpu-mining/
And for a pool, I would recommend minelitecoin.com - 1% fee, detailed graphs of individual and pool performance, user friendly control panel, small amount of members so higher payout, and rapidly growing. Best of luck with LTC mining, and I hope that you all profit from it. Cheers.

I was at MineLitecoin.com, I loved it since I could see my shares skyrocket and my rising rank, but now the web frontend seems to be down but the 8332 port seems to still be working?
But I don't want to feel like I'm in Cyprus, I don't like to feel like I'm fenced out of my own account.

Understandably DDOS attacks are common without a hardware Firewall.  And as competitive as it is, DDOS filtering and data sharing is rare among pool operators.

Burnside's pool and others seem to be stable, but I'm going to take it slow and see what stability each one offers.

Don't forget where you leave it. Anyone read that story of the person who had 4,600 BitCoin from back in 2011, put on flash drive, forgot about it, remembered he had it during the recent April BitCoin boom, but lost it? Will try to find link.

Apparently just the website is down, I'm getting hashes accepted.  Thanks!

DDOS attacks and hacks. Don't these people want to honestly mine like the rest of us.
Plus it's my first post.
