as u can see no one will know where the market keep to us in the future so the best advice that i can tell u about is to hold ur coin and invest  that time to study more coin and more project and read more whitepaper
so u will draw ur picture about the market

any altcoin from the top 20 will be a good investment but if i have to choose i will tell u about ADA and ETH

this can't be the end of bitcoin in any way   , if u look at the bitcoin chart history u will see that what happening today to crypto market is happened before and the market always back as soon as possible more power
so if u have some coins just hodl

because of that new coins who've came to us with advanced technology than ETH (a better version) like EOS and ADA
so i think ETH will never compete with bitcoin , cuz they r not similar , rather than compete with bitcoin i think that ETH will be in a war with other similar coins like ADA and EOS

i'm not agree with u , cuz i don't think that ADA and IOTA in competition because of they r tow different coin with defferent technology and goal
each coin has a goal and a separate challenge  , while IOTA is envloving into internet of things and creating the technology to manage IOT using tangle technology which is a way defferent to blockchains trying to solve the blockchain problem
we have ADA who comes to us with big project and creating a new generation of blockchains that using smart contract 
but i think that ADA and IOTA is the most up coming coins giants in the near future

i will not encourage you to invest your money on alt under 20   cuz it have a high risk although u have a small amount of money(500)
in my opinion pick up 3 or 4 coin from the first 20 coin and do ur search about them
if u ask me about my opinion i'll make an advice for u and i'm telling u to invest ur moeny in (cardano,IOTA,and ETH) i belive that those coin have a grt future cuz of the power of their technology that they come to us
