Re: Exchange or Wallet?
by
M00nlander
on 25/07/2018, 21:21:08 UTC
I have a question.

What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?

I would like to hear some advice.  What are pros & cons of each option?

Thanks

Do yourself a favour and help to sleep better at night by getting a hardware wallet Smiley

Otherwise on exchanges your funds are always at risk, however big the exchange, and somebody always has control over your funds still ultimately. Why would you want that?

so, guys!
why u r still belive in huge green streen or bullish market in 2018?!

for me - it s amazing mistake for all of who thinking so
look at the law, watch at the country titans of crypto - they all blocked openned cryptoway
why u are still thinking- "2018 will be pump year"??

Everybody was super psyched after the bull run and naively felt like ti would last forever at the time!

Now there's a crash and people seem to have gone the other way understandably. But I think in my opinion we have seen the worst for 2018 and we will hopefully begin to use some of this recent positivity to begin to climb back up!!

I know how you feel... my investment portfolio consists of 80% of altcoins, but its value has dropped dramatically in USD value since January. I guess I have made a big mistake when invested in altcoins on the peak of hype.

I also feel your pain! Been HODLing strong through the whole correction and definitely taken a HUGE hit. Hopefully we will see more positive news and good attention come back into the markets soon!!

I wish I was joking but this market will take at least 2 years to recover and build momentum again.
Market fundamentals have changed!

If you're a true HODLer temporary market conditions don't really matter!  Grin Nobody has a crystal ball when it comes to this, the circumstances are very different from the last big crash.

Re: NEO - The Ethereum of China (Invest before you regret)
by
M00nlander
on 21/07/2018, 21:59:54 UTC
As I write this thread, the price of NEO the so called Ethereum of China is rising and its rising sharp. Many of us had that wish if we had bought ETH when it was cheap 20-50$ to get massive gains. Its not too late.
You can still invest in NEO, to make that happen. If this coin help in profiting others why not share it Smiley

Some of the main reasons why NEO will go to moon is as follows (Courtesy: EthereumAdvocate)

-Microsoft on board
-Multiple coding languages, not just one, no need to learn new coding (Solidity).
-Tacit acceptance by Chinese authorities.
-Chinese government intention in supporting/utilising smart contracts to secure/designate real world assets.
-Chinese desire/support for home grown product (Both Govt and populace).
-Ease of purchase by Chinese on their exchanges.
-Greater awareness of product in China than other external options (Excluding ETH)
-Rest of world awareness of product and how it offers a different option to Ethereum.
-Still viable and accessible via Bittrex to investors outside China.
-This is attractive to those that cannot/do not wish to use Solidity / Ethereum, provides another smart contract option.
-Could also be used for smart contracts in addition to/with Ethereum smart contracts from a risk management (hybrid) perspective.
-Shaping up as the best contender to take market share from Ethereum for smart contracts.

I really like how the Chinese handle their business and look after their own businesses, so I think NEO being China's main blockchain will put them in good standing for sure!!

What do you thing, where crypto currency is going? Do you think this is end of crypto?

Crypto is like any brand new market, will have ups and downs, but it's somewhere if you're going to participate you need to have patience and realise Rome wasn't built in a day  Smiley

Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency

Seems like most people just want to become super rich in a short period of time.
If you don't believe in this new technology, and just want to earn quick money, I think you will probably not achieve what you want.
All I want to say is be patient, live your life, and don't get too emotional by all the negative news/FUD. Yes, crypto might be ended in a really bad way and you lose most/all your money. But if you truly believe in the new technology, just invest the projects you like the most and hold until it gets mature and returns.

Amen! That's exactly the perspective people need to get into their heads, especially those new to the space freaking out because of the price movement downwards.

This is crypto!! This a brand new market opening the door to a whole new world of tech and possibilities- of course it is going to be volatile!!

Those who have patience will get the most fulfilment from the space

Re: I'm very disappointed with myself.
by

on 19/07/2018, 21:52:09 UTC
I'm extremely depressed about my impatience and persistence.
I'm a stupid man. Fuck myself.
I bought the ETC when its price was 15$, i kept it for three months, including when it down at 9$, I still don't sell, because i believe it. And when ETC rise to 15$. I sold everything and waited it down $ 13 to buy more. But, fuck myself, the next day it rise to fucking 30$, Are you kidding me?
I bought 5000 XRP from May, i still believe it, I bought more yesterday, I bought when its price was 0,00001610sts, and when it down 0,00001558, i afraid BTC up, XRP down. So i sold everything. And... This morning I woke up with a sense of chest not say words.

This is my mistake, definitely like that. I can't blame anyone.
I told myself, "The market is still there. Nothing to hurry"
I don't complain, i post here just relieve stress. I didn't  tell anyone about this, including my wife.
Thank for listening.

You've definitely had some unfortunate luck in terms of timings of your trades! However it's good to see you keeping your head and putting it down to experience Smiley

I have lost more than I've gained thus far but short term price movement is NO reason to give up, or change your fundamental beliefs.

Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency?
by
M00nlander
on 17/07/2018, 20:28:14 UTC
I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?

I rode the market to the top... then straight back down again without taking any profit at all... I do regret that now in this market  Grin

Ethereum is a steal at this price compared to in Jan!! I think it's the calm before the storm, there are always lulls in the market but I think Ethereum will perform well once the bulls get back in control.

But the question everyone wants to know is: when will that be?

Re: Are. You leaving crypto?
by
M00nlander
on 15/07/2018, 14:11:02 UTC
I am seriously considering it.
There is no future in a small market cap that is pumped and dumped!

In addition, trading bots are running the show: milking everyone!

Ha-ha, look at stock exchange rates at the beggining, it was pumped and dumped also several times.
So, it is begginng of crypto, in cuple of years we will see 10X-100x market cap.

I agree with your sentiment!! People need to stop panicking and understand that this is a brand new market and these types of market cycles and market behavior always occurs.

Good things will come to the patient  Grin

Re: When will ICOs die?
by
M00nlander
on 14/07/2018, 19:42:52 UTC
Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?

I don't think ICOs as a fund raising mechanism will ever die, but I do think it will start to be only top tier projects that get any attention soon- so many scam or rubbish projects and I think there will one day be no people left for those, only projects with real inherent value. Yes I know that have nothing do do with each other and that you cant really compare. But if you had to choose one from the other. which would it be?

I've always liked NEO because of its strong position in the Chinese market, and is down quite a bit at this point.

BUT I do think ADA maybe has a better potential for return in the shorter term, so I'd say to split  Grin

Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell?
by
M00nlander
on 12/07/2018, 21:12:53 UTC
Hello everyone!

We all know that the situation with market is not that good as we want it to be. Thus it affects a lot of ICO projects. On the one hand people don't invest in coin so much money as they did last year. On the other bounty hunters sell tokens fast and the price goes very low. That is why some projects prefer list their token on Idex first. They want to see how a coin plays on market.

And what investors should do in such situation? Sell all they have for small money or wait until a token will go up?

I'm asking as a person working in such project. After ICO token price went down (KCY, I'm sure you heard of it). And It is interesting to know investor's opinion about such situation.

What is your idea?

Unfortunately I have experienced this a lot recently in this bear market, I have invested in many ICOs and they're not strong enough to withstand these conditions well.

Personally now my pot is down (fiat value wise) I'm happy to ride it out, I do believe that the market works in cycles as always and crypto will bounce again at some point!!

Is NEO still worth investing in? I have my final $150 and I'm not sure if I should buy NEO or ADA

I can see big things happening for NEO future-wise: they're an absolute giant in China and are basically THE Chinese blockchain platform.

Price has been looking a bit more attractive recently so I managed to put a bit of fiat in for a few more NEO of my own this week  Grin

What will be the best option to do now looking upon the current BTC price???

Everybody's in the same boat who is in it for the long run, just hold your Bitcoin until the market has another good cycle. Or just keep holding long term and don't worry about the price if you're in it for the actual innovation. it depends on your motives  Grin

Well this is what the insightful Tone Vays claims...

He claims that ETH, DASH, shit 99.5% of all the ALTS are scams and the only coin that will survive is Bitcoin.

So l guess we should all sell our Alts now!

Hmm I always wonder how much of this talk from Bitcoin maximalists is because they went in maximally with their Bitcoin purchases  Grin some alts definitely have purpose and value!!

Re: Why is bounty not an investment?
by
M00nlander
on 09/07/2018, 20:57:26 UTC
I have seen a lot of threads here asking about whether people will invest in a coin or do bounty. Its high time we all understood that, investment is not only about money. To me, any effort put into something to make it a reality can be regarded as investment. People who buy coins invest with their monies whiles those who participate in bounties also invest with their time and energy. Money is a replaceable resource but time can never replaced. To me, bounty hunters are also investors. What do you think?

You are right from one perspective- it depends how you look at it. Of course, investing time to complete bounties is a type of investment, but is not what you'd normally call an investment. Difference to me is bounty hunters are using labour to earn funds, not use their own money to speculate with the tokens. Very interesting question!

Re: Why is ICO period long?
by
M00nlander
on 08/07/2018, 14:28:16 UTC
This is a question I ask myself all the time that why do so many ICOs usually take so long period of time before they are  finally over. Some ICOs could go for long period of time as long as 6 months and 7 months thereabout. Does it mean the longer the period of ICO the better the rewards? Does that long period of time really mean I will have better profits either as a bounty hunter or an investor? I need some clarification and probably some  advise as a newbie to ICO bounty.

Bounties all work differently and need different amounts of time to spread the word of their project, build a community etc. so depending on strategy some have a short ICO, others have a very long ICO (think EOS for example). It depends on the project's requirements, but does not mean the longer the ICO the better the rewards necessarily at all. The length just affects how long you will be hodling for!!

Re: How does bitcoin affects your emotional and mental aspect of your life?
by
M00nlander
on 07/07/2018, 11:47:24 UTC
Emotional and mental aspects are commonly interrelated to each other. It commonly deals with our mind and heart. They can't be isolated and one can't remain solitary. In mental viewpoint, it really enable us to think whether it will be great or not. Your understanding will going to test your passionate angle. Bitcoin's impact is interdisciplinary, along these lines what we feel, will be what we think.

Well naturally as a hodler when the market is good I'm on cloud 9 and when it's bearish it's a bummer, but I always remember its important to have a varied schedule and not just rely on crypto for all of your fulfillment!!
