I don't really have any issue with bitcoin itself but my least fav thing is the lack of real world places to spend it. I suppose the confirmations could be a little quicker but it's not really an issue to be honest.

Well I would certainly hope you're right but currently bitcoin seems to volatile and therefore very risky. With gold at least it is relatively stable in price and always has the intrinsic value of being a usable precious metal whereas bitcoin doesn't and therefor relies solely on what people are willing to pay for it.

I haven't seen Idiocracy in a very long time but I've been meaning to watch it again. I did find it a bit silly back when but it really doesn't seem that stupid any more and actually scarily prophetic. I think 1984 is even more relevant now than it was back then as well so sometimes people are good at predicting the future.

Who says you have to invest bitcoin? Most will probably want cold hard cash. I think most companies will be looking for angel investors who can pour in a lot of millions rather than the casual investor, but I do agree I would rather just keep my bitcoins and an investment rather than risk them in something else.

The US doesn't give a fuck where you're based. They'll do what they want. Though in this case if the seized image was hosted on the sites own servers then this is just obviously a weak ass exit scam. Your playing with fire when you use these shady sites and most will dissappear eventually once they've collected enough funds. This is why we need some sort of decentralized hosting or options like openbazar so the police can't just take anything down they don't like the look of.

I believe in bitcoin but sadly not humanity. If people actually weren't so ignorant we would have already stopped using fiat money long ago but nobody really cares to educate themselves about the corrupt system of economics. Same with politics really. Doubt anything will ebver change any time soon.
