Re: The First Bank In Mexico Is About to Start Accepting Bitcoin
by

Ricardo Salinas Pliego owns a bank called Banco Azteca, which is one of the worst banks in Mexico. People have magically lost their life savings: D, no one can do anything.

I don’t think this project will be any different. As I said before, people don’t trust that bank. Actually, that bank is mainly used in small towns where people have no choice but to open an account with them. Believe me, it’s from a small town. People in towns may have never heard of Bitcoin, mainly because internet access is almost non-existent in some parts of Mexico, or people just don’t care about it and don’t use it

The magic of Bitcoin is that it benefits both individuals and collectives.

By becoming a Bitcoin holder, you can make choices to protect your future and allow Bitcoin to give you complete freedom.

This choice also supports the Bitcoin system and benefits millions of people around the world.

Regardless of rich or poor, all bitcoins have the same ideals for the future. Back to the currency belongs to the people, and the people who support it.

Bitcoin is full of hope for a better world.

Bitcoin critisism
by

I seek criticism. I support Bitcoin. I have to say that it is difficult to find the correct argument against Bitcoin on the "buttcoin" reddit. I saw some negative news articles about masculinity about certain regulations and other news that seemed to be bad for btc. But there is no basic discussion. What I found so far are these:

The price fluctuates greatly, or there is no hedging, it is a bubble

Has not been accepted yet, you cannot pay in most shops

It faces a serious defect that the government/people are unwilling to give up the right to print money, so they will stop it in some way.

Thousands of coins = inflation. I don’t think this is true, because every POW system with a smaller computing power, Bitcoin can theoretically be "cracked" by the computing power provided by btc miners, plus the computing power can be comparable to any other computing power in the world. Comparable. Compare with the network or supercomputer, do it yourself. )

I find that some aspects are not good, such as it will—if it succeeds—change or collapse the economy through partisanship. Just like now (as far as btc is concerned) there is almost no inflation, and there is not much incentive to spend money or use btc. (In my opinion, this will have a positive impact on the environment, because people will not waste money on useless and short-lived products) Of course this is an environmental view, but all the energy is directly used for password security and The immutability provided by BTC (as far as the US dollar is concerned, it is not secure-it is only determined by supply and demand) so it makes it more resilient and almost impossible to be hacked. In my opinion, this is like a fair accounting system. Although you have to compare it to a traditional banking system, all these buildings and ATMs and anything else required by the banking system are running around the clock.

I would love to hear some constructive criticism. Personally, this seems to be a system that will continue to exist (but at what price, it may rise).

It’s kinda strange that media rarely mentions the fact that governments are only
by

1.there is no way to crack down on individual ones: you make ASICs illegal - you’ll have to make GPUs (and eventually CPUs) illegal.

2.it ironically solves claimed environmental problems as well as potential problems with global semiconductors supply

3.even if governments themselves take over mining in order to censor transactions - we can always change hash function (imposing huge losses on them rendering all ASICs useless), which is what I’m pretty sure they quite aware of

Shouldn’t it be all good news? Even banning banks from dealing with crypto is good - they would just turn Btc into glorified stock.

The only problem we have left is media bought out by speculators (buy media - short - repeat) and ProofOfStake-networks supporting “toxic mining” narrative.

It doesn't matter to you, but it matters to the miners. They have to shut down operations and find a new career or flee the country. A lot of time they are operating on loans to buy all the equipment, it's not surprising that they would market sell their coins.

Computer programmer and cryptocurrency evangelist John McAfee dies
by
MAESTRor
on 24/06/2021, 07:10:59 UTC
According to the Spanish international news agency EFE, on Wednesday, John McAfee was found dead in a cell in the center of Barcelona’s Brians 2 prison.

McAfee was born in 1945 and founded the software company McAfee Associates when he was in his early 40s. His company was responsible for one of the most famous anti-virus software programs at the time. In 1994, he resigned from the company and founded the software company Tribal Voice, the company behind one of the earliest instant messaging and chat programs on the Internet, technology company QuorumEx, and security and privacy company Future Tense Central.

In July 2017, McAfee predicted that the price of Bitcoin will reach $500,000 by 2020, making headlines in the crypto field and mainstream media. In November 2017, when the price of Bitcoin looked more bullish, McAfee doubled its Bitcoin price forecast, claiming that Bitcoin will reach $1 million by 2021.

The US government has been seeking to extradite McAfee for failing to file tax returns from 2014 to 2018 and failing to report income related to the promotion of encryption projects and consulting work. In October 2020, the authorities arrested McAfee at Barcelona International Airport and detained him until an extradition decision was made.

McAfee often posted updates through his Twitter account. Initially, he said he was "satisfied" with his situation, and his friends in prison also described his imprisonment. His last message stated that he lost all his crypto assets and many friends.

I can see a small patch of sky above the high concrete wall of the prison yard. In contrast, the walls seem to frame the deep blue sky and the fluffy clouds floating across the sky.

It turns this little window of the sky into a particularly beautiful gem.

— John McAfee (@officialmcafee) May 25, 2021

Earlier Wednesday, a Spanish court ruled that after obtaining the approval of the Spanish Council of Ministers, McAfee may be extradited to the United States, and McAfee’s legal team has the opportunity to appeal the decision. The 75-year-old previously argued that the charges he faces are politically motivated and that if he is extradited, he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Cointelegraph expressed regret at the loss of a traditional figure like McAfee, and expressed condolences to his family and friends. McAfee's wife Janice is alive.

Well, the way i see it.
If say a rent costs 0.00005 BTC, then the rent they pay will be 0.00005 BTC even if the market fluctuates. so they cans till pay rent technically.
Stop thinking that the USD gives value to everything in the world please. Currency of other countries fluctuate as well with value over USD but rent does not change every month does it? Please stop with USD supremacy. US is not WORLD.

Re: Why is moving mining out of China a bad thing?
by
MAESTRor
on 23/06/2021, 03:27:24 UTC
It's not a bad thing. It's a really good thing. China is ban happy. Banning facebook, google, ETC didn't cause their stock to lose valuation long term.

Mining companies won't ever confidently mine in China again. They destroyed the mining industry in their country for a very long time. Mining will now be more geographically decentralized which is only a good thing.

Entice her with the concept of being her own bank, it's so much better. If she's into BTC she has likely placed value on the decentralized, self empowered aspect. Keeping your new freedom money on an exchange is arguably even worse than in a traditional bank.

Kõigil valitsustel on võimatu Bitcoini keelustada. Nüüd on riike, kes tunnistavad Bitcoini seaduslikuks maksevahendiks ja Bitcoin on globaalne. Keegi ei saa seda keelata.

Why BTC will be King
by
MAESTRor
on 10/06/2021, 09:13:02 UTC
If you take banknotes and coins from the U.S. dollar, it is basically a cryptocurrency, completely mined and controlled by the US government. This is why the United States and other governments are afraid of BTC. In any case, in 10 years, the currency will basically be digital. As a society, we rarely use cash anymore. This is why BTC is better. It is mined by anyone, no one controls, no leader or speaking mind. This is why it is superior, and countries will do everything they can to stop it. I don't think they can. They have waited for a long time, and now the organization is involved. If they take it out after the crash in 2017, they may win.

China has long taken bans on cryptocurrencies. However, mining itself is not banned, which is very important for the entire world cryptocurrency market. Because it is in China that the vast majority of mining capacity exists. For example, China accounts for more than 70% of the world's Bitcoin mining

Re: Will Bitcoin end like a tulip?

The important feature of the tulip bubble is not only to surge in speculation, but also to finally lose support and plummet. A complete reincarnation is the real [tulip bubble].
Therefore, speculative assets that have not plummeted cannot be called a tulip bubble.
