Nice, but you should get on the TeamRedMiner train. (follow their latest tuning guide)

My Vega56 hashes more (50MH) and consumes uses 10W less.

No you won't..

Flashing an XT vbios to a non XT card is the only thing that is possible.

The onboard PSP prevents you from doing modifications.

Also, memory timing changes on a Navi are like on an R7, useless.

The only thing that would improve performance (particularly eth mining wise) would be to make it so that you extend your bandwith.
Which means that you would need to change clocks + timings so it remains stable and because the PSP on board even has it's own PPtable, this is yet again not possible.

Well, anything is possible, or almost :p
But at this stage, i doubt anyone has been able to accomplish vbios edits for navi (basically bypass PSP).

Cheers

Haha

Necro quote, I know, but I wonder how they actually did it (RedBiosEditor) ?

Just wanted to say thanks for AMDmemtweak (non XL). The only timing I needed to change Reference Vega 56 was TREF 3120>9360. This with core/mem 915/950MHz and 875mV gets me 45-46MH at 130W on Windows.

Musicoin mining pool hub was mining on wrong hardfork chain for 8 days. 50,000 blocks were found orphan blocks.
But pool will pay musicoin from our own pocket whether you mined orphan block or not. Don't worry.

That's quite hectic...

he is 100% right btw, you really should mine something else with you 1070. If you had 1080Tis I would almost agree with you

Zcoin profits are decent on a 1070. What alternatives are there?, or do you mean obscure things like goByte?

So what would be the best strategy for a single GPU miner such as myself (currently: single Vega 56 on Monero only, and single 1070 on Zcoin only)?

I've disabled auto exchange, and would like to minimise fees. It would take me about 30 days mining to reach the minimum payout amount of 0.5XMR on the Vega 56. The same time period should net me about 2 XZC from the 1070.

Can I enable Auto Exchange to Litecoin once a month to benefit from the lower transaction fees or should I just leave it on all the time? I'm not sure which coin to Auto exchange to at this point. Litecoin would have been ideal a week ago, Haha.

Use the multi-switch settings or your own software and focus on Cryptonight and Ethash.

Auto Exchange only works for future mined coins, not present balances.  So to avoid the fees you need to keep it on all the time.

you can force old coins to auto exchange any time buy using the wallet push coins to autoexchange

Thanks! I was going to ask what that button does. Cool

Just a heads up, I've noticed that many people say +500 or +600 or even +700 for their memory OC which is subjective depending on your system settings. Sort of learnt this the hard way:

In CUDA / compute tasks, a stock GTX 1070 runs memory at 7600 MHz (base 3800*2). So a +600 OC will result in (base 3800+600)*2 = 8800 MHz. In 3D tasks, this same +600 OC will result in (base 4004+600)*2 = 9208 MHz, which can be unstable /crash the system.

You can use Nvidia Profile Inspector to set "Force Cuda P2 State" to "OFF". This prevents the base memory clock from dropping to P2 state while mining (keeping it in P0). Result: +500MHz memory OC gets you to 9GHz in BOTH gaming and CUDA/compute tasks, which should be safe for most.

2. On the Zcoin Dashboard, I can see the Recent Credits for the past few days.
On 2017-12-08 it was noticeably lower, at about 1020AM UTC, I stopped receiving shares. At about 1220PM I received the email "no shares from worker in 10min". I logged in via TV and it was running as expected. But the shares only resumed at about 0930PM UTC.

How can I debug this? My Monero miner was still going strong, so it cannot be the network connection.

I think this was a pool issue last night, since my 24h profitability is about half of what I was expecting. There were some website issues last night, and a database issue as well that resulted in shares not being credited.

Lets see if it continues happening, or if the pool operator finds and fixes an issue.
...

I closed my miner 10 mins ago. The zcoin dashboard went from 800h/s to 1.1kH/s.....  "Hashrate based on shares submitted in the past 5 minutes." Im not sure what's going on here. These stats make no sense... Cry

Hi, I recently switched from NH and had some questions about Zcoin pool mining using my GTX 1070 with the miner listed by MPH (cc-djm):

1. Which server address should be used and why are there differences? Lyra2z.miningpoolhub... or zcoin.miningpoolh...

2. On the Zcoin Dashboard, I can see the Recent Credits for the past few days.

So whats the verdict with MPH after the admin posted about a "crash", is it working properly again?

My zcoin worker shows up intermittently on the dashboard. I mined the entire day yesterday, and the pool stats showed there was no connection. My payout today is also subsequently almost nothing. What the hell MPH?!??
The worker is still mining just as it was yesterday. Same hash rate, no rejected or stale shares etc.

My internet connection is fine as my XMR miner in the same PC seems to be working, even if the payout seems a bit low.
