Re: Will banks disappear because of cryptocurrency?

Banks are looking into blockchain and cryptocurrency to implement in their systems and products. Giant banks aren't just going to go away that easily.

All fairly solid coins, but I'd stay away from Tron. A lot of people are saying it's all hype and that they copied another project's White Paper. Not sure if it's all true, but when there's a lot of smoke, there's usually a fire.

Re: Market is GREEN - Do you trust it

The market being green is like the boy that cried wolf now.

We've seen so many fake bull run calls that I don't really trust anything at the moment. I believe the market will go for a bull run eventually, which is why I hodl, but we just don't know when.

Re: Advice to all bounty hunters.
by
MV7
on 30/08/2018, 06:08:57 UTC
Bounty hunters help to expose ICOs to crypto related audience to attract investors for the project. No matter how promising the project may be, if the ICO fails, the project won't see the light of the day. Bounty hunters are very important in ICOs. But there is one thing am not happy about bounty hunters. They usually dump their coins at any price the moment it is listed on an exchage which usually drops the price of the coin even below the ICO price putting the investors at a disadvantage. I want to advise the hunters to hold their bounty tokens for a while in order to maintain a good price for the coin. We shouldn't forget we are all stakeholders
Well the issue is that early ICO investors are the first ones to dump because they can make a good ROI by dumping right away, causing a rat race to see who can sell their coins first.

Re: How to know which coins are good?
by

on 30/08/2018, 06:07:08 UTC
One of the main things I look for in a coin are good partnerships. When a company like General Electric is partnered with a project, like WPP (sorry for the shill), it makes me believe the project a lot more.

I think a lot of us ran out of spare cash to buy after all of these dips.

We've all heard the "BUY THE DIP!" but this doesn't work when the dips keep going down further and further

Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank?
by

If you keep your crypto in a hardware wallet, I do think it's safer than keeping money in a bank.

Keeping crypto in an exchange though is probably worse in terms of safety

Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing?

I've been hearing some rumors that BAT will be listed on Bithumb.

Anybody else know anything about this, or would you say this is just a rumor?

Re: Trading by technical analysis or just intuition?
by
MV7
on 30/08/2018, 05:52:42 UTC
The problem with technical analysis is that the crypto market has been manipulated so much that it's basically impossible to make realistic predictions using traditional financial models.

That being said, you should still do your research on the coin that you're planning to buy, but the price can be a lot more random than what many others might think

ETH is definitely a good bet right now if you want a relatively safe investment.

ETH and the other top altcoins are some of the first coins to go up in price after BTC price settles down in a bull run

Lol this must be like the 100th thread of "are we in a bull run yet"

Every single time the market increases like 5% we have the same conversation, and then we're all disappointed a few days later when everything drops by 10% or more

One of my favorites is Fortuna.

It's been holding up well compared to other altcoins in this bear market.

Also partnered with Neo, Qtum, Loopring

Re: Investors! What do you Invest in? The project or The token
by
MV7

Mainly because everyone expects crypto and prices to move at a lightening speed.

I look a lot at a project's partners before I invest. If a major organization is partnered with them, makes me believe it a lot more

Re: Pundi X

It really depends on whether you think the market will be bullish or bearish from here on out.

If you think it will be bearish, better to pull out, take the 3x, and buy back later if you still believe in pundi x.

This is because altcoins always suffer more than btc / eth in a bear market.

Re: Advice on Investing outside top 20
by

It all really depends on your risk appetite. Crypto, even those in the top 10 or 20 still have a lot of price variation compared to traditional stocks, but is relatively safe in the crypto market.

Coins with low market cap / new coins are a lot more risky but have a lot more room to grow. Basically high risk high reward

Congratulations! And keep at it, I think bounties are still a good way for people to earn an extra bit of crypto and learn more about different projects. I started around a year ago and still going strong.

Re: STO or ICO?
by

Most people just sum all coin/token offerings as "ICOs" but there are some different laws / regulation on the use of the terms. That's mainly why ICOs are called things like STOs and etc

Re: What do you think about current bounties, airdrops and contests

I think bounties are still needed to create buzz / awareness about a club. Airdrops used to be effective in the past, but are mostly useless now.

Re: Best way to promote an ICO
by
MV7
on 05/08/2018, 13:47:27 UTC
To promote an ICO, you basically need to do everything possible, not just one or two things like an ANN thread. You need an ANN thread, good posts on social media like twitter, articles on sites like Medium or Steemit, and good communication with the community. All of these things and more need to be put in place.
