Reddit is a bit more active. Over there you can also see who the moderators are. If you send them a message, you can get an invite at Slack. A lot of community members hang around there. There we can help you with your problem more easily, plus you can be a part of the Nexus community!

Possible reasons could be:
- Nexus wasn't really pumped in the december rally like other coins, so from that perspective room to grow
- Technicals were set up great (cup-and-handle pattern)
- The project is revolutionary. Obviously due to this, it is a risky investment. But if it succeeds, Nexus will be enormous. Solving the scaling problem onchain is a huge thing.
- Dev team was expanded with a couple of guys a short while ago, and updates are coming in regularly (more often than before). Due to this, Tritium seems closer than ever
- Nexus conference announcement expected in January

The team has deliberately chosen not to reveal a road map, in order to prevent pumps/dumps.

I think distribution tends to spread out when volume and market cap increases especially for these older coins where the number of investors was quite small I hope that's an okay explanation, i can understand why the distribution might be concerning

I guess you saw the same with bitcoin when its market cap was low, indeed. It makes sense that people diversify wealth at a certain moment.

Some exciting times ahead! Patterns line up, good fundamentals, money that'll flow into alt-coins in the coming months. Who's in for $5 this summer?

How long does it take to get some stakes? Been running the wallet online for more than a week and nothing has been staked so far.

It depends on your balance. How much are you staking?

tried to replace the wallet.dat  on a new pc with my  backup dat  from mac.

everything is synced and unlocked not only for staking. But I dont see my balance.

Any help please?

Are you sure that the wallet you imported is the one holding the private/public keys that hold coins? You can double check this by looking up your public key in the block explorer, to see the transactions from and to that public key.

Regarding staking, why does "Est. Next Stake" changes? Does it go up when there are more coins staked in the network? I.e. when large holders stake on a laptop and they go online?

But I can not synchronize my wallet, there are no active connections

My wallet currently has 26 active connections. The network is active. Be patient, let it run a while and get some connections. Can take time.

I'm topping at 4 connections. Are you only using the nodes as suggested on https://stats.espers.io/download/addnodes.txt ?

Did someone succeed in staking on a Debian (or other Linux) distribution?

Edit: I found the step-to-step guide for recompiling from github somewhere in the middle of this topic :-).

It seems like it's impossible to join the campaign. It's been running for quite a while, so I guess therefore new entrants are not accepted anymore.

It hurts watching current situation  Sad You guys think that china regulations will somehow affect us?

FUDDDD, They did many times before, chinese FUD, just buy the dip and wait to take your profits Tongue

Great fundamentals will always win. Of course China and its speculations will have short-term influence on price, but it doesn't do a lot on future potential if the underlying idea is great.

Well, if one thing we now about crypto-space, is that we cannot give accurate estimations on (short-term) future prices. But logic suggest it indeed will be the case for alt's with good fundamentals.

Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon?
by
Maarten91
on 06/09/2017, 18:29:39 UTC
Bitcoin does not need the dollar, right now the most powerful currency is the dollar and that is why every currency is compared to it, when bitcoin takes that spot then every currency will be compared to bitcoin instead.
...
Nevertheless, while Bitcoin may be far from replacing the dollar soon, it could stand alongside it, that can be used as an alternative payment system in the time of need. Just my thoughts Grin

Definitely agree on this one. Transitions like this go slowly. And governments won't be too fond about having zero control on their currencies. So if it would actually replace fiat currency, my guess is that we could easily wait 50 years. But more likely it will complement fiat currency .

Re: Do you share your secrets and research findings???
by

It depends indeed. A lot of people are promoting the coins they are holding for obvious reasons (increase in community -> increase in value). If you feel it's really undervalued and would like to accumulate some holdings, it makes sense to keep it quiet for a while. And you shouldn't feel bad about it, after all you've put in the time doing this research.

Re: And the most undervalued coin award goes to...

I like PascalCoin because it was designed to be efficient (more than 100 tx/sec on a core i7), its blockchain can be deleted, accounts cannot be created (they should be mined) and because accounts numbers are short, easy to memorize.

I think that it is undervalued because its exchange rate did not recover from the last crypto-currency "crash" (1 August 2017) without clear reason.

What exactly is nice about the ability to have blocks deleted?

Re: What If Bitcoin is banned?
by
Maarten91
on 06/09/2017, 16:39:01 UTC
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.

Local government cannot fully impose the banning of the usage of Bitcoin in their country. I cannot think of a way that they can do to monitor each and every individual that may be have been using Bitcoin. So if it happens here, I will continue earning some Bitcoins. I'll just find a way in order to hide my work from our local ISP. I believe that this ban will eventually be lifted and if the time comes, I'll be rich! ( I do hope so  Roll Eyes)

Well, local governments can impose a restriction for stores/companies to use Bitcoin (which can actually be verified using random sampling). And that is effectively a full restriction: after all, if there is no practical use for it, who would use it?
