How do we know you are not stealing our passwords?
If some one uses the same password for this and the NXT client for example, and if this testnet somehow logs your password,
it can be easily used against your NXT client.

It's a potential problem. The dev should clarify it. None of link works. It just likes a password record. How can we trust you?

I applied a couple of hours ago and just received my stake. I am currently voting every hour on Mintpal to give support and to those who got their stake should do the same. We don't need to wait to complete the distribution phase, we should start voting now to give us good position or ranking because it will be long way to the top of the voting page so keep on voting guys.
You are a lucky boy. And I will try my luck later.
But I read a lot of guys complained about not getting the coins.

I dont understand the Devs motive. Why create this coin and then destroy it at the very beginning. Come on, who would invest to coin with like 99% premine! This is crazy! Does the Dev think that investors are stupid or what.
If you create a premine coin you must distribute it fairly. Not keeping your promises is bad reputation and certaily will destroy the coin.

The fact is that the dev wanted to join in CommunityCoin and get 1mil stake. Unfortunately, he has been rejected. He got angry and then he spent 2.5BTC to coingen this coin.
You know that the dev wants to earn the cost back.

So you're telling me all I need to do to make a ton of money is:
Who knew it was so easy? I'd be willing to bet we'll see a few more coins do this before people catch on. Maybe I should get into coin development...
- Create a clone coin.
- Set it to low reward/high difficulty.
- Premine the majority of it and keep those coins out of circulation (and make up a good reason for premining so many to avoid negativity).
- Get the coin onto an exchange/CoinMarketCap.
- Let people gawk over the value (due to the fact there are so many coins in existence but not in circulation, therefor locking in that higher price due to the inability for the public to dump it).
- Coin price will skyrocket due to the stable high price and huge market cap (due to all the premined coins).
Who knew it was so easy? I'd be willing to bet we'll see a few more coins do this before people catch on. Maybe I should get into coin development...

I don't understand the hype behind this coin. Do big numbers really cause such a frenzy?
The only reason it was such a high value to begin with was because of the huge volume (thanks to the dev holding so many coins for Iceland).
From there it was a domino effect due to hype (because of the high value) and the fact it kept climbing as more coins were introduce.
As others have said. If all those Iceland coins were introduced into circulation the price would plummet incredibly fast.

I honestly hated the idea of NXT and the likes at first. With the recent MtGox fiasco though it's becoming increasingly more apparent that we need ways to trade coins outside of exchanges. Keeping an eye on this.
