Re: Someone hacked my bittrex account - will I get the BTC back?
by

Well, bittrex sends notification email wen someone logs in using a new ip address, unless your device was compromised, you should have that email.

As for reimbursement part, Bittrex is not liable here. You are responsible for the safety of your account. You can track the address to which your btc went but you can't do anything to get it back. Take it as a lesson, always use 2FA and never leave your coins on exchange unless you day trade. Move on. Good Luck.

Re: Is there an institution that protects the circulation of Bitcoin?
by
MadCryptoLover
on 18/10/2018, 17:07:03 UTC
The answer to your question is simple, and it happens to be the fact that the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are decentralized, now what does that mean?, it simply means there is no body, rules, organization, government nor Central Bank that acts as an overseer over this network/currency

This network/system/currency Is controlled only by the Individuals, users, enthusiast, investors etc in the system, only them can affect and influence the price/value in many ways, all depends on the demand/supply of the particular cryptocurrency coin

Exactly, and that's why its impossible to know the exact circulation of bitcoin or any other coins since no one knows how many bitcoins have been lost due to failure of PCs, crashing of hard drives having bitcoin wallet or private keys. Nobody rules these decentralized currencies and that's why no one can help you when your coins are lost of stolen.

Re: Bitcoin is the King ! Why ?
by
MadCryptoLover
on 01/10/2018, 22:28:54 UTC
bitcoin is the king because of a high price and also how the popularity of bitcoin is popular with many people, so I think it's a natural thing for bitcoin if bitcoin becomes king.

Bitcoin has high price and it is famous because it was the first crypto currency which was created and introduced to the world. For many, Crypto-currency and Bitcoin are interchangeable terms.

It is far more liquid and called as King of crypto because it can be bought and sold at almost 100% of exchanges which are in operation at the time and we need to buy bitcoin first and then convert it to other coins because fiat to altcoin trading pairs are really very few and more than 80% of tokens/altcoins are bought with btc pair only (along with some with eth too).

Re: Is anonymity the future for bitcoin???
by
MadCryptoLover
on 20/09/2018, 05:22:57 UTC
Anonymity is not good for our future. I think the main purpose of creating crypto currencies is to bring the transparency and giving the control of the funds to the user who owns it which is not possible in case of banks and other investments unless you keep fiat stashed in your house in which case value depreciates because of inflation.

People associate anonymity with their right of keeping their money/property safe from everyone and want to use it as a tool to avoid taxes too but if you expect good facilities and security from your government for yourself and for family, then why should not pay the fair taxes on time?

If anonymity is added to the bitcoin, then anyone can fund the terrorist/illegal activities without anyone knowing about it which may increase the crime rate/illegal activities. People will try to convert their properties/savings into btc so that they don't ave to pay taxes and capital gains. Governments will lose a substantial part of their funding and in reciprocation, many countries will ban the btc and its trading in the country and any even criminalize it to hold and trade bitcoins/crypto currencies.

So in my opinion, anonymity won't do any good for bitcoin and for traders/investors worldwide. This is my take on anonymity.

Re: What is your plan for the next world wide recession. Are you planning on such?
by
MadCryptoLover
on 19/09/2018, 22:18:24 UTC
This is what I'll do if recession hits again, I have planned a little for that

1. I don't have any debts on me and I am earning quite well based on the country I am in, so I have maintained a balance between risky (crypto) and traditional investments (Bank, Mutual Funds , stocks etc). So I'll buy some of all of above things according to my capacity. Maybe a little less crypto while the market is in downtrend.

2. I'll probably convert all my crypto into BTC and most of the BTC into fiat or USDT for the time when market is going down. I'll start buying again all good coins when market would stabilize a bit.

3. I always keep some fiat spare for the times like the present, when market is way down and all the good coins are cheap. I treat it as the best opportunity to buy and accumulate more.

4. I live within my means, I will never take loans for investing.

5. And last, trying to learn TA, so that I could make money even in bearish market or in recession.

I like the new logo and you have represented everything nicely. I like the concept of rewards campaign instead of going with traditional bounty program. This way, some serious participants will get the tokens who are really serious about the project. Thanks for the info, I would now start thinking of what can I do to be in the list of valid participants.

Buying merit or normal ranks is like buying yourself a bunch of trophies to put on your shelf. It's stupid, and it's an insult to everyone who achieved it legitimately. I can't see ever doing that. I don't particularly mind letting people pay for some of the privileges of these things, such as with copper membership, but it should be a parallel system.

Copper membership is good. Now, if you want to participate in signature campaigns, you can either pay the $10-$20 for copper membership or accomplish the herculean task of making one good post. I don't think that it's unreasonable in either case.

If people are making good posts but are still struggling to get merit, then that's a problem with the merit system and should be fixed on my end. Demanding money in order to bypass a broken system would be really bad. But AFAICT the merit system actually is reasonably effective at identifying good posters.

Been a little busy for a few days. Today I logged in and saw this new rule implemented. Personally, I loved it. This will really help eliminating crap postings in the forum. A very good step indeed.

I really don't mind paying 20$ for copper membership. Can you please direct me to the thread with the benefits of copper membership? Thanks.

Re: Will you ever be able to pay for a coffee with Bitcoin?
by
MadCryptoLover
on 07/08/2018, 15:45:49 UTC
Why would I want to pay with Bitcoin for a coffee. There is fiat or debit/credit cards for that. Bitcoin is too precious to be spent on coffee. I don't want to repeat the story of buying 2 pizzas with 10000 Bitcoins Tongue

Besides, speed of transaction and fee doesn't make it a good viable option.

I'll see if it works. I have tried other methods too but they didn't work for me. I think they work only for older twitter accounts.

Update: It works perfectly. Thanks man.

Re: Samsung: Smartphones are the Most Secure Device When Using Cryptocurrency

But smartphones can be easily accessed by other poeple, I mean physically.

People always carry their phones with them, so chances of their mobile being lost or stolen are more. Doesn't it risk their investment?

How to organize an effective Bounty campaign?
If your question as project owner, then I totally agree with madnessteat
and if your question as bounty hunter, I think google spreadsheet or excel is small tools that u can use to organize your bounty..

As a bounty hunter, if you're doing more than 5 bounties together, how can one keep the record of dates of reporting , retweets, reposts etc?
